I've been contacted a couple of times over the past couple of years by G2 and Bigin by Zoho. My previous experience using them was horrendous. I've signed up for a trial and given them a few days and I'm happy to report that they've made HUGE progress with their support team and so I am rewriting my review to reflect these improvements.
I originally tried Bigin because as a solopreneur it seemed the perfect cost-effective solution. It provides an extraordinary set of features in all of their plans, even their free one, which gives solo operators and startups a good way to try out all that they have to offer.
And what a set of features! Excellent contact management, a lead pipeline, built-in contact form, and automations. There may not be enough features to satisfy a large corporation's needs, but for small agencies and solopreneurs like me, it's ideal.
More impressively, their support offerings are far better than before: chat (during certain hours), email, Zoom, screen share... all of these are available now. And the two times I've needed assistance it's been prompt and friendly. This is a DRASTIC turnaround from three years ago. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few drawbacks that I wish they would address: the Google integration is limited. Gmail and contact sync works okay, but not having full 2-way sync with multiple Google Calendars is a drawback. I don't understand why not, since both my previous CRM and my project management software manage to nail this (and they're both small startups, bootstrap businesses without the benefit of a parent corporation like Zoho to absorb the cost).
This makes their new booking page unusable for me since their booking agent can't "see" my other appointments and calendar entries. It will only work with Bigin-created events. You also can't customize the response email or where the customer goes after booking a slot -- it just leaves them abandoned on the Thank You page. Bummer.
