Good user interface, straightforward navigation. Generally ok response times to the live chat, but often they don't know the answer and so have to take it away and don't get a response for a few weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of notification functionality for approval chains (not everyone needs to approve it, some just neeed to receive notification a change has been made eg. finance, benefits). The need to reach out to support to create things like tables is a pain and time consuming. There are so many issues with reports not accurately capturing data. Certain fields aren't available in reports so have to be manually collated. Calculated fields have limitations too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to set up, implement and use for Admins and End Users alike. Staff is responsive and very friendly. The have a lot of easy to find training/reference material for both the Admin and End User. Hugh downside for us is that we can not add contracted employees. We are a small company and have 4 contracted employees which do not need to use any of the feature (like requesting time off, payroll, etc.) in BambooHR, therefore it doesn't pay to pay for them to be added to BambooHR. Since their isn't a way to add this type of contractor for free, they do not show on the company dircetory and we have to maintain a seperate company directory.
I also wished we could link the Who's out calendar to our current calendar instead of just adding another calendar in out Outlook. Would also like to see entries in the Who's out calendar show notes from the time off requests, or be able to add notes that are not lost when the calendar refreshes. Right now if an employee takes of half of a, there is no way to note if they are out in the am or pm.
Do not like the asset tracking. I would like to have a main location to add an asset and assign it from there instead of having to recreate the same equipment anytime it is reassigned to someone else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that everything is available in one place, such as documents, emplyee information, easy to send documents signature requests. The notifications we receive from Bamboo are great with keeping us organized on when we need to update employees profiles. I use Bamboo almost everyday for some reason, whether it's filing paperwork or looking up info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the fact that all of our HR, payroll, and performance data can all be house together all in one place! The system is so user friendly! The onboarding experience was great and they worked with us so well to help us adapt the system to our current paperbased and processes we were using other systems for. The only thing I wish Bamboo HR could do is integrate a bit more with our external systems. This isn't that difficult for us though, because we use Zapier and BambooHR does allow certain fields for us to use to automate even more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows employees to update some of their information themselves. It is also a great way to send out annoucements to everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Any other payroll company I have used has the resources to update payroll taxes, Bamboo puts it all on the employer which makes me nervious about doing it correctly. Taxes are not fun and I would hate to make a mistake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BambooHR has completely revolutionized our HR game. We moved from manual processes to a system that's automated a lot of what we do, making things both streamlined and efficient. The data and reports we're able to pull give us accruate insights into making better business decisions. There are some small features that could be added - like black out dates on the personal leave calendar and an easy way to request working remotely. Small suggestions come up here and there but overall we' ve been able to work around it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Bamboo HR has been so helpful in keeping our contracts and personal information confidential. With multiple locations, it has enabled us to keep all of our info in one place and not transported from campus to campus or emailed. It has helped us to have a hub where employees can go to when they need a form or information about their benefits...Our HR department can focus on making our company a better place to work and not constantly answer questions! Appreciate the user friendly layout for employees and support tools available to administrators. We implimented BambooHR as our first org HRIS 4 years ago and transitioned our payroll and time tracking from ADP into BambooHR this year. It's great having everything in one place, and we were able to make the mid-year payroll shift without any impact to employee payroll or benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We would have liked more hands on support in our payroll transition, there were a lot of good tutorials, but some of the conversion could have been simplier with a human helping us navigate. We would also love some more support around multi-state compliance (policies, tax/UI set-up & reporting, state by state variation in payroll and reporting etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are many valuable features, but I will highlight three: menu customization, Fantastic reports, and their customization options, and the support service. The team was willing to attend to our requirements whenever we needed support. Another remarkable feature is the API access, which offers another level of integration. I like the clean interface the most. It has everything laid out without putting too much effort into finding what I need!
I have used many other products at previous employers but this is by. far the best one. The other ones are not user-friendly or take too much time to search for what you came for.
I also must add that part of my job is helping BambooHR customers set up their integrations with our platform. Out of all of the HRIS systems, this one is the easiest one to connect with. It is such a simple, straightforward process compared to all of its competitors. From my experience, I can tell you that customers typically have the least issues with a BambooHR integration because it is so user-friendly. It is a breeze to troubleshoot! I have run into an issue a couple of times with time off requests. If I request a day off but do not end up taking that day off, it does not let me cancel it on the same day. I had to reach out to my HR team to get them to remove it on the backend. I wish it let you cancel or edit it on the same day of the request.
A similar issue I encountered is that I accidentally chose a day in the past when requesting time off and it would not let me edit or delete it on my own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
