Simple, easy to use user interface. As a new user it is very easy to pick up how to use the system, particuarly as an employee (vs. admin or analyst).
This system would suit companies that are small or only require very basic functionality well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of more advanced functionality. Some reports are rigid (time of reporting as an example) and lack customisability. Similary you can't do basic things such as set up a drop down for "subbookings" for time off leave types meaning we're unable to report on what is driving absence.
You also can't have relationships between fields, for example if you select a Division within job information, you aren't limited to select only departments that fall within that division. I love the checkllist that you can create each payroll. This makes processing payroll so much more efficient with all the changes that need to be made in one place. The all inclusive price is great in that if you have to do an off cycle payroll it is included. It is very easy to navigate. Customer support is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At the beginning the self learning was a bit of a challenge. I feel that during the implementation process they should have been more hands on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We converted our HR interface to Bamboo several years ago, and the employee gets much better information. It is is customizable and our employees' information is much more in sync with the information in HR than I would have imagined possible. I love that! My organization rolled out a few modules at a time, so implementation was easy. It integrated more and more within a few years and we have most of what people want to know, accessible.

I don't think there really is a downside, but the limitation is that it is difficult to set it up in the best way for everyone. That is a database problem generally, and not a problem with Bamboo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that you can house all of your applicants in one area.
You are able to contact the customer support quickly and they are readily available, also they are very friendly.

There have been a few quirks with the applicant questions, but the customer support has seemed to address those. For the most part I haven't found much that I disagree with when it comes to the way things are set up within the system so far and I have used it within multiple agencies that I have worked for. BambooHR has been recognized for its ability to get us out of difficulties. It is effective in becoming a single people inconvenience. It has favored us as an exceptional reservoir of personnel knowledge in the area of new in addition to potential hires, and active employees. It facilitates a simple, yet effective program that allows you to manage and utilize the time available. However, certain areas require some work. It is not possible to establish a certain sequence of ways to make time off/accruals for a new employee, which means that it is necessary to do this manually for each new employee. This creates many possibilities for human error. In addition, it has a very obscure and unhelpful api layer in the case of time information management; The remaining api is outstanding. The documents are not as easy to use as you would expect and can be repetitive for less tech-savvy Post users. The API would benefit from a little more effort in the area of temporality monitoring.
