Easy to set up, implement and use for Admins and End Users alike. Staff is responsive and very friendly. The have a lot of easy to find training/reference material for both the Admin and End User. Hugh downside for us is that we can not add contracted employees. We are a small company and have 4 contracted employees which do not need to use any of the feature (like requesting time off, payroll, etc.) in BambooHR, therefore it doesn't pay to pay for them to be added to BambooHR. Since their isn't a way to add this type of contractor for free, they do not show on the company dircetory and we have to maintain a seperate company directory.
I also wished we could link the Who's out calendar to our current calendar instead of just adding another calendar in out Outlook. Would also like to see entries in the Who's out calendar show notes from the time off requests, or be able to add notes that are not lost when the calendar refreshes. Right now if an employee takes of half of a, there is no way to note if they are out in the am or pm.
Do not like the asset tracking. I would like to have a main location to add an asset and assign it from there instead of having to recreate the same equipment anytime it is reassigned to someone else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It saves me so much time. It allows for consistency and thoroughness on onboarding. The performance review process and engagement surveys are a dream! For every process, it makes it easier to track everything. I don't have to remember everything anymore or make tons of lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only suggestion on how to make it better is on the engagement surveys. When they are sent out, there is not a way to pick the employees that you want to complete it. We have our board of directors in our employee count. They dont take the engagement survey, so that does affect the numbers. BambooHR is a one-stop shop for any HR professional. Major pluses for me is its intuitive, easy-to-use platform for the admin and the user, the custom reports with e-signature functionality, the robust hiring platform, as well as the payroll system.....that is just to name my favorites! I think the 'cherry on top' is the customer support, which are knowledgeable, quick to respond, and follow-through to ensure you got all the answers needed. I can get support via chat for something quick, or put in a call back, or support ticket for something more in-depth. They are top-notch from start to finish. 10 out 10 would recommend! BambooHR is intuitive from set up to implementation. Each year BambooHR has taken customer feedback to develop and add so many new features and interfaces providing a more robust all inclusive solution for HR offices everywhere. As a construction company, we needed something our team in the field could easily access no matter where they were. From the perspective of the HR department of one, it is my daily one stop shop for managing everything from communciation to time off approvals, Progressive disicpline documentation and so much mor. BambooHR has been an effective tool, allowing us to focus in on production, safety, and growing our business. I use BambooHR daily for HR procedures. Everything employee related is housed there. I think their performance review process is very helpful and I LOVE their reports. I can pull so much helpful data very easily. We've been using this program for over 7 years. As a company, we've looked at different software in the past, but BambooHR is so sleek and user friendly that I could never go back to a clunky HRIS. They have a lot of great content to help you figure different things out and everyone I've talked to at that company is very helpful, kind, and professional. I have heard people say that they are dissapointed with the benefits administration add on. There were some capabilities that they wish would have been there, that they felt was very standard. It's still a new software that they are working on so it's definitely in the learning stage. However, for a company the size of 50, I was able to spend about 10 hours on our open enrollment from top to bottom with BambooHR and that's it, so I found it a helpful software add on. I love that everything is located in one place. I don't have worksheets and word docs all over that hold various pieces of HR and payroll information. Reports are easy to access and customize. I also love the Benefits add-on. It makes insurance enrollments and changes so easy and I know information is being pulled into payroll correctly and on time. My biggest complaint about BambooHR is when I receive email replies from Customer Support, they don't include my original email to them. I'm a busy person, as most HR pros are, and if too much time goes by before I get a reply, I sometimes forget exactly what I needed help with. I would appreciate additional functionalities for the organizational chart. For example, it would be helpful if individuals who neither have direct reports nor report to anyone were excluded from the chart. Additionally, having the ability to rearrange individuals within the chart—such as positioning employees based on seniority or job level, even if they report to the same manager—would enhance usability.

I really enjoy using Bamboo HR as our HRIS. It is very easy to use and implement. It is robust enough to help small/medium businesses operate and solve many challenges that these SMB's face. Being able to keep all your employee repository in one place is super helpful for current and future tracking. I really like the number of customizations you can make in relation to things like "time off" policies. We operate globally and being able to have numerous customzied policies is really helpful.
The tool is also relatively decently priced, although it seems like other platforms are catching onto the low pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting is quite dated. They have done some work on it over the past year and I hope to continue seeing improvements. It's fine if you want to pull information that is current, but being able to look at a data source and apply a historical date is not something that is currently possible.
Secondly, the hiring portal is very weak. I will say, if you aren't hiring at volume, it's great. Easy to manage and go through the motions. It is not an ATS. There is no filtering option (aka location). It would be great if this saw a serious overhaul and potentially brought in some AI functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love being able to share policy changes or additional HR documents via BambooHR and having employees acknowledge the documents from there.
Following that, I use BambooHR DAILY. As a new BambooHR user, it's so easy to use, especially coming from other software in the past. It allowed us to easily integrate from another software to BambooHR.
Another thing that BambooHR has made easier for me, is implementation on new hires. Once an employee accepts an offer, we have them complete their onboarding before their start date. So on Day One, they are good to go!

There are a number of features that I'd like to be able to integrate with other systems. Our benefits broker's system (Employee Navigator) doesn't track with Bamboo's API and cannot facilitate benefit tracking or open enrollment. The app itself is intuitive for both admins and users. It is straightforward to navigate and easy to use without being simplistic. There are enough features to cover everything we need to do, and more features available if we need to grow.
Best of all is the people. From our sales person who was patient and helpful over a 2 year sales process, to our implementation analyst, to the support team, everyone has been incredibly helpful, kind, and communicative. I love the customer communications from the marketing / sales team keeping us all updated on the product path, and the yearly customer summit is a great event.
