A prime feature of OpenPhone is the ability to choose a phone number in Canada or the USA that is close to your clientele base if you are located in a different region or country. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I recently started using OpenPhone, and I have to say, I’m really impressed! What I like the most is how user-friendly the platform is. Setting everything up was a breeze, and the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Even if you’re not tech-savvy, you’ll find it straightforward to use.
Another big plus is how affordable OpenPhone is compared to other similar services. They offer great value for the features they provide, making it a smart choice for individuals or small businesses looking for a reliable communication tool.
I also appreciate that they offer a free trial. It’s always nice to test out a service before committing, and OpenPhone’s trial period gave me the chance to explore all the features and see how well it fits my needs. In fact, I liked it so much that I subscribed before my trial even ended!
Overall, I highly recommend OpenPhone to anyone looking for a cost-effective, easy-to-use phone solution. It’s been a great experience so far, and I’m excited to continue using it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For some reasons my phone # was tagged as Likely Spam for some of my recipients. I had to reach out to their customer support and they responded immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- I can anonymize my personal phone number and not give out to every single client by using a number that still rings my own cell phone
-I LOVE setting business hours so it doesn't ring my personal cell late at night (we have some international clients)
- We are using their beta call logic so we set up a phone tree where it rings several of our sales reps so we can share the responsibility of answering calls
- For compliance reasons, I need to have these calls recorded and their AI tool that records + transcribes + summarizes the call is SO useful
- Their customer support is really helpful — the last guy I spoke to was super patient as we triaged a situation
- We use this for all of our incoming customer support calls and haven't had an issue with volume (we have 300 clients so far)
- It was easy to get started and spin up other numbers for other areas of our business (we have an advisory line, support line, and my own separate line on Open Phone) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- We're using their beta flow for setting up a phone tree and it was a bit tricky to get set up properly
- I've been told the audio sometimes sounds like I'm "under water" and I use an iPhone so I think it has something to do with the tech layer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Openphone has helped me in my business more than I really anticipated. I originally used google voice and thought that it was a decent enough phone system for just myself and my business partner but I disliked it's lack of features.
I find that openphone is affordable, user friendly, and saves time with features like snippets and great visual voicemails. Also the notes feature helps me to remember important details about specific clients when they reach out.
The phone calls are always great quality and it's a really easy and reliable interface on the web or on a mobile device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the system could use a spam filter and be a little more intuitive with clearing notifications/marking things as read. Also maybe an automation after a missed all feature would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how OpenPhone easily integrates multiple users into one phone line that can be easily managed. My team has 5+ members that routinely use our phone line to call/text over 200+ external partners, and OpenPhone easily logs everything we do into our CRM (Hubspot). OpenPhone's user interface is very easy to use, and I completely prefer this platform to our previous phone/voice provider, Zoom. Overall, I love how easy OpenPhone makes it to seamlessly connect with our clients while also maintaining those records for future reference. I also love the company newsletter that gets sent out at the end of the day - I think it's clever! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing so far, but I would consider maybe adding video conferencing to be a more comprehensive platform. However, this would be far in the future :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I work in an automotive industry, primarily logistics and accounting, so you can imagine how much calls and text I receive every day. So.. What i like:
- I can use OpenPhone with my team
- I can create several phone numbers for my co-workers
- NO freezes, additional charges or server failures. In our business we have to stay online 24/7. OpenPhone is what you need to be in touch with all your subcontarctors
- No calls or texts to your personal phone. Work stays in an OpenPhone app
- Easy to use, no need to explain your colleagues how to call or add a contact
- Customer support is always answering. If you used another apps, you will understand.
So I am using an OpenPhone for last 3 or 4 years and had nothing better for a everyday use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have an IPhone and Android, so in the past it did not work on Android as good as on IPhone. Now it seems they fixed that and Android became way more smooth and easy to use.
Sometimes verification codes do not go through, but send them couple of times, it usually fixes the issue.
Still that is the best you can get on the market! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use and feature rich. I like that it is a separate app on my phone so I can keep my business and personal lives separate. I love the Zapier integration so I can automate some common messages. Like that they seem to be always developing and improving the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Call quality is not great a lot of the time. I can hear the delay happen often when talking to clients and the initial connection time is almost always long. Leads to a lot of "can you hear me?" issues. Also, the app frequently bugs out when trying to answer a call and will keep ringing even though I've answered the call. Both myself and the person on the other end will hear the ongoing ringing and the only way to stop it is to end he call and try again. I can live with these issues, but I wish they would find a way to improve the connection.
My biggest complaint is the pricing model. When I signed up I don't recall there being different plan levels. But as they have grown they've gotten greedy. Instead of viewing new features as a way to delight existing customers and attract new ones, they instead only release new features to higher plan levels and try to get you to upgrade. The next plan up costs 3x what I currently pay. These are features that I think should be pretty standard like forwarding a call to another user and call trees. I hate that approach. You've built the features, use it to keep existing customers engaged and attract new businesses to you instead of constantly trying to squeeze more money out of small operators. My co-worker and I just started to use OpenPhone to text clients. We found it easy to set up and use to text our clients. I love how the auto replies and out of office replies work. There is always a learning curve with a new service. I am confident we will be using OpenPhone for a long time. It certainly beats Google Voice by a mile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this time, we do not see any down sides to using your service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The list of features is astounding. OpenPhone is incredibly feature rich and easy to install on all your devices as necessary. Apps are available for the phone and desktop, and there are several integrations that many will find useful. Being able to start on the phone and continue on the desktop is really an added benefit. And on the rare times I've needed customer service, I was impressed at the speed of the reply and how quickly my issue was resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside I can imagine is the slight learning curve. Communications solutions that are so capable, so "do it all" are rare to come across and therefore might be foreign in the begining! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OpenPhone is set up very simply, I absolutely love the AI features of the transcript and the ability to record phone calls. That has been more than helpful in going back and getting information like names emails and the ability to send my recorded calls to my manager for him to critique them. Honestly, I wish there was a better way to organize it. It's really hard to stay organized with companies that I currently am partnered with, homeowners that I'm working on estimates for keeping those organized with all the cold calls that I do is really hard. It would be helpful if you could put people in different folders or areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to start small, add services as needed, and detailed instructions every step of the way. When comparing other services, it was clear that even though OpenPhone did not have every option out there. But....they had every option that I needed and at a price that the competition could not beat. The set up was easy and for things that are more complex, the knowledge base and FAQ's are very detailed and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Need a MSTeams integration. I know everyone uses Gmail/Google, but I like Microsoft and have partnered with them so the ability to integrate into MSTeams and other MS prooducts would be great. Other than that, nothing to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
