Zoho Expense has been really easy to use. Our business has a lot of expenses and write offs. This site has helped me save so much time on calulating and keeping track of everything. I can express enough how affordable it is too.

There is a lot to learn in Zoho Expense. Which isn't a bad thing. It requires a lot of inital sit down time to learn the program and different features.

Zoho Expense is helping me save time on tracking and saving expenses. This helps out so much when it comes to tax season.

There’s nothing I dislike about it. The interface is nice overall, although it could still be improved a bit.

So far, I haven’t found any downsides. The only thing I can think of is that they don’t really advertise their pricing.

**What do you like best about Zoho Expense?**

I was looking for a way to streamline the process of scanning and recording receipts, and Zoho Expense in conjunction with Zoho Books is great for this.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?**

There is a bit of a learning curve and it needed some help from the zoho team to get the reporting process automated so that my scanned receipts auto migrate to Zoho books. Also you can only set up one payment card at a time. It's not that big a deal, but it would be nice to be able to switch on the fly for a given invoice.

**What problems is Zoho Expense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that it populates the expense fields when you autoscan, an that this information is then compatible with the Zoho Books platform.

I manage tour groups around the world and it allows me to scan receipts in different languages and different currencies and have them all stored and summarised. Rather than arriving home with a huge pile of paper receipts to manage (or an inbox of emailed receipts), I manage it now as I go so by the end of a trip, I just click a button to ge ta summary.

Zoho has been an great experience, we have been able to add GST Tax invoicing. keep track of invoices and payments. Provinding Multi-entity expenses management. We also get a lots of integrations, so that we can pass the data.

Sometime the UI feels laggy. The User Experience is not that good.

For us Zoho solve the taxation issue that we were having, also the integration with zoho book, it becomes fullstack solution. Zoho expense help in incode invoicing managements as well.

**What do you like best about Zoho Expense?**

I like that Zoho Expense has a pretty okay interface. It's not too complicated and makes my work faster. It's straightforward and does the job, which makes it faster for me, and I really appreciate the ease of use. Switching from Google Sheets to Zoho Expense was definitely an improvement. I wanted more streamlining and automation, and Zoho Expense seemed most widely used and relevant for my business location. The initial setup was easy and very fast, to the point I don't even remember it, so it must have been instant.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?**

I find that often it’s repetitive and I feel in today's age of AI this could be much more efficient and save me even more time. It’s not easy to set up automatic recognition or memorizing expenses that are somewhat similar for certain projects, which would be a very cool feature and handy if that would work better.

I use Zoho Expense to track my monthly business expenses. It makes work faster with its straightforward interface, but can be repetitive. I switched from Google Sheets for more streamlining and automation, although automatic expense recognition could be better.

I really like how easy it is to track my receipts while I’m traveling.

The UI is okay, but since I’ve worked in HR and used other expense programs, I don’t find it as clear as some of the other tools I’ve worked with.

I travel internationally and used to spend hours tracking receipts for tax purposes. Zoho Expense has solved that problem for me, making it much easier to stay on top of my receipts without wasting so much time.

i dont like the fact that i am limited in terms of features on the free plan. i wish we could just have access to most features with just 3 users especially for small businesses

it is solving my financial management problem. i am now able to track my expenses. i work remotely and alwasy spending. with Zoho im able to easily take a snapscan of my reciept with zoho and my office is able to get it immediately

The best part about Zoho Expense is the newest corporate and personal card synchronization feature. It uploads expenses instantly, keeps records accurate, and makes reconciliation effortless.

Overall, Zoho Expense works very well. The main inconvenience is that tags and custom fields don’t automatically sync from Zoho Books, requiring manual updates. Smooth, unified syncing would make the workflow even more seamless.

I think when I get on my regular laptop compared to my iPad, the view is different and seems a little confusing.

The platform is straightforward to use both on the web and on my phone. I find the Auto Scan feature particularly helpful, as it saves me time when submitting reimbursements.

The Credit Card Statement feature does not support claiming expenses, even when I upload the PDF statement. This makes it difficult to manage and submit my expenses efficiently.

The Credit Card statement section needs improvement. It should be made easier and more user-friendly, as currently it does not support any statements, even when they are in the required system format.

Reports are easy to generate and it is user friendly.

Getting the per diem added and setting up the GSA rate is a complete nightmare. There's no easy way to create an itinerary and provide per diem for those days and specific cities. Also, not small towns shown in their database for GSA purposes.

**What do you like best about Zoho Expense?**

Zoho Expense makes day to day expense tracking extremely easy and organized. The mobile receipt scanning is accurate, approvals are straightforward, and syncing with Zoho Books saves a lot of manual work. The interface is clean and simple to use, even for non-technical staff. Overall, it reduces time spent on paperwork and keeps everything properly documented for accounting.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?**

The integration between Zoho Expense and Zoho Books sometimes feels incomplete. Certain submitted transactions do not appear instantly inside Zoho Books and require manual refresh or rechecking. A few settings, like adding the Tax Registration Number to PDFs, are hidden deep in menus and not very intuitive. Customer support could also be faster when dealing with configuration issues.

Zoho Expense helps automate and streamline all expense submissions, approvals, and reimbursements inside our organization. It reduces manual data entry, improves accuracy with receipt scanning, and removes the need for spreadsheets or WhatsApp message tracking. Zoho expense is easy to learn, intuitive, and more powerful than other expenses programs I have used. The fact that Zoho Expense integrates with project management, client management, and billing makes it easy to manage and bill expenses for the business and clients. It is quite flexible and can be customized as needed.

Sometimes certain functions are difficult to follow. Take it slow with Setup. Having your accounting setup is crucial.

I use Zoho Expense to track my expenses, but also for tracking expenses I pay on behalf of my clients. It makes it easy to bill on client’s monthly bills.

**What do you like best about Zoho Expense?**

The absolute best feature is the seamless, intelligent receipt scanning and categorization. I loved how easily I could snap a photo of a receipt with the mobile app and Zoho Expense would use OCR to pull out the merchant name, date, and amount accurately. This feature alone completely eliminated the headache of manual data entry for me.

Additionally, the integration with my corporate credit cards is flawless, ensuring every transaction is tracked in real-time. I also appreciate the customizable approval workflows, which helped me enforce personal spending policies and ensure compliance for my records. It has significantly sped up my expense processing and saved countless hours of personal reconciliation.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?**

I was not able to use the system long enough to develop any dislikes.  It was way better than how we do things now.

**What problems is Zoho Expense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lost Receipts & Manual Entry: I eliminated stacks of paper and the inevitable lost receipts that caused delays and errors in my personal tracking.

Slow Reimbursement/Admin Cycles: My previous manual process was slow. Now, I can submit and process my own reports much faster and with greater confidence in the accuracy.

Policy Compliance: I now have automated rules that flag or reject non-compliant expenses immediately, giving me greater control over spending and simpler auditing for my records.

Zoho Expenses is simple and it makes managing the expenses from Start to Finish. I also like its seamlesss integration with other Zoho Apps.  Syncing of Employee Info from Zoho People to Zoho Expense is really helpful when raising reimbrusement claims. The reports and analytics ection inside expense provides clear insights into spending  oatterns , helping in making better financial decisions.

The Mobile App occassionally feels a bit slower compared to the web version, particularly when we try uploading multiple receipts. Also at times OCR may require manual corrections.

Before using Zoho Expense managing expenses involved lot of manual work. Zoho expense fixed all these by having the features in one place. The approvals were automated , so it saved time.

Zoho Expense's Start to Finish handling of business expenses is second to none.  Whether you want to itemize and split an expense across many accounts, or just have a step 1-2-3 approach to Business expense reporting, Zoho Expense is one-and-done.

The Customer Support staff are quick and knowledgable and the ease of integration with our existing Chart of Accounts is exceptional.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?**

I would like to see even greater flexibility on the roporting side.  The current customisation is good, but does not allow me to integrate the fields I need to present to our accounting team.  Granted, I just may not be aware of how this can be done, so I am open to suggestions.

Zoho Expense is allowing me to upload expenses on-the-go and efficiently whereas before having Zoho Expense, I was lost in a sea of paper receipts that needed to be scanned and recorded with the efficiency of Zoho's one-and-done system.

I love the ease that comes from using the software. The interface is pleasing and easy to use for someone like me who is starting their business from scratch. They make it accessible for you to continue with the progress you are making as a CEO, while also guiding you into the next steps of the setup process for the backstage. So far I have been using it for almost a month and I appreciate how they have structured it for those who are just starting as well as the one's who have been in the business world for decades.

I would have to use it for a longer period before I can speak on it. However, one thing I would suggest is having unlimited scan receipts for newcomers to potentially progress through certain intervals more quickly during setup. However, that might just apply to the version of the product I am using.

For someone who has never used any mailing software before, it might be a bit challenging at first.

Zoho Expense is solving one of the biggest pain points in any organization — managing business expenses efficiently and accurately. Earlier, expense reporting used to be a manual and time-consuming process, with lots of back-and-forth between employees and the finance team. With Zoho Expense, everything is streamlined — from capturing receipts automatically to submitting reports and getting approvals in just a few clicks.

For me personally, it has made tracking and reimbursing expenses much simpler. I don’t have to worry about misplaced receipts or filling out long Excel sheets. The automated workflows, real-time policy checks, and clear visibility into spending really help in saving time and improving accuracy. Overall, it’s made expense management a lot smoother and more transparent.

What are basically like about zero expenses is that it helps me manage all my expenses very effortlessly. The best feature is the automatic scanning, which saves a lot of time by pulling in all the details that I need. The mobile app is very intuitive. I'm sorry easy to use as well, it's also very great and smooth with other tools and other books. Overall, it's like pretty simple to use as it reduces a lot of hassle.

Even though it's a great tool, there are a few aspects I don't like. For instance, some of the more advanced features are only accessible in the higher-tier plans, which feels quite limiting for smaller teams. The interface is clean, but at times it can feel a bit overwhelming when you're just starting to learn it. I also find that the desktop version runs a little slowly. Overall, it's still a good product, but it could benefit from greater clarity.
