**What do you like best about Zoho Expense?**

I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content and awareness material for online platforms, so during regular work i handle many different types of expenses related to clinic operations, educational activities, travel, internet usage, meetings, printing work and awareness programs. zoho Expense helps to keep daily work expenses, records and spending activities properly organized without making the process complicated.  Zoho Expense helps keep all these records more structured from one place. Adding expenses, uploading receipts and creating reports feels simple even during busy work. one thing i really like is smart receipt scanning because bill details gets detected automatically most of the time, which saves good amount of time during regular expense management. Bulk expense entry and report creation is also very useful while handling many small expenses together.

another useful thing is expense categories, approval workflow and policy management. Different work related expenses like office supplies, internet bills, travel, educational event costs and operational spending can be managed separately, so tracking monthly records becomes much easier. Mobile app usability is also good because I can quickly upload receipts or check reports during outside work or awareness related activities.

performance has been smooth during regular use and sync between devices also works properly most of the time. Search filters, reimbursement tracking and report export features are also helpful while checking older records and managing business related activities. Integration with other work tools feels smooth and it fits naturally into daily workflow without creating extra manual work. Another good thing is that Zoho Expense gives detailed control without feeling too technical or confusing. Overall, Zoho Expense has been very practical for managing clinic expenses, educational activity costs and regular business related spending in a more organized and professional way.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?**

receipt scanning works well most of the time, but occasionally some bill details still need manual correction depending on receipt quality. Mobile app performance has been good overall, although sometimes syncing or loading larger reports can feel slightly slow. while managing many expenses and reports together, a few sections can feel little crowded because there are many options and settings visible at the same time.

**What problems is Zoho Expense solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is helping solve the problem of managing daily business expenses, receipts and spending records in a more organized way from one place. During regular work I handle many different operational expenses related to clinic activities, educational programs, travel, internet usage, meetings and awareness related work, so keeping all records properly managed is important.

the platform helps me track expenses, upload receipts, create reports and review spending without handling everything manually in different files or notes. Features like receipt scanning, expense categories, reimbursement tracking and report generation makes daily expense management more smooth and less time consuming.

it also helps while checking monthly records, operational costs and old expense entries because search filters and reports keeps everything more structured. Mobile access and sync between devices is also useful during outside work and educational activities because expense records can be updated quickly from anywhere. overall, it helps make expense tracking, reporting and daily operational management more organized, faster and easier to handle during regular work.

**What do you like best about Zoho Expense?**

Zoho Expense has become my preferred expense management solution as a startup founder. The platform is easy to set up, highly customizable, and significantly reduces manual work through its receipt scanning and mobile app features. I particularly appreciate the professional expense reporting, reimbursement tracking, and seamless integrations with Zoho Books and QuickBooks. Overall, it provides excellent value for startups, entrepreneurs, and MSMEs looking for a practical and automated way to manage business expenses.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Expense?**

There are still a few areas where Zoho Expense could be improved.

First, while the category and subcategory customization options are quite flexible, I would like the ability to completely remove unused default subcategories instead of only being able to disable or work around them. This would help organizations maintain a cleaner and more streamlined expense structure.

Second, I would appreciate greater flexibility in report management. Currently, once an expense has been assigned to a report and submitted, it cannot easily be reused in another report without recalling the original report or deleting it altogether. In some cases, businesses may want to generate multiple reports using the same underlying expenses for different purposes, such as reimbursement requests, monthly summaries, project-based reporting, or management reviews. Having the ability to reference or include the same expense across multiple reports without disrupting existing submissions would make the reporting process significantly more flexible.

That said, these are relatively minor limitations compared to the overall value the platform provides. The receipt scanning, mobile app convenience, expense tracking, reporting capabilities, and accounting integrations make Zoho Expense an excellent solution for startups, entrepreneurs, and growing businesses looking to establish efficient financial processes.

The platform strikes a good balance between simplicity and functionality. It provides all the essential tools needed for expense management without overwhelming users with unnecessary complexity.

I love that you can upload multiple images, or simply take a picture of the receipt. The flexibility of this app is brilliant and the way it helps me organise is exactly what i was looking for. Claude was the one to recommend this app and it is spot on. The way I can enter currencies during my trip and it all converts to one designated currency is perfect.

I like the customisable reports, all the information I do need, and nothing that I don't. The Ai is good and I find the interpretations accurate. The speed of processing is also a lot better than other software I have tried.

All seems good. I don't personally need the ability to log the receipt, then send it for approval. But its only 1 step

I use Zoho Expense to consolidate my day-to-day business expenses seamlessly and submit claims at the end of every month. I love the ability to immediately capture expenses with a photo and leave them unallocated until ready for submission, which reduces the chances of missing any expenses significantly. Also, as a normal user, I found the setup quite easy, and it's great that you can choose to be as detailed as you want or keep it simple, with the setup being almost ready to go.

Maybe the user interface can be a little bit more simplified, intuitive. As a normal user, it's quite easy, but for an admin, it was a little bit tedious. You need to really think through how to manage expenses, allocate them, and understand what the process is like.
