The best things that I liked about Whova was the ease of use. Scanning attendees in to conference via QR codes was a breeze. Having the full agenda and my agenda at my fingertips was perfect for knowing when and where to go. Uploading photos was super easy and instant sharing with colleagues was fun! Having the ability to connect with attendees that I never would have met or known otherwise was certainly a bonus.

the downside of Whova would probably be from the Speaker side .... it must have been off-putting to see so many people on their phones while they were presenting important topics. Their only hope was that they all were listening and engaged.

Some things were hard to find and limiting. We wanted attendees to know about a post conference pub crawl with an itinerary, but we couldn't figure how to blast it out to the entire conference. Whova provides up-to-the-minute updates of events at conferences.

Attendees can view the full schedule of all events and create a personalized schedule for sessions they plan to attend. The onboard site map displays event locations. I did not find any problems with Whova. It worked smoothly for me and was a helpful resource in navigating the numerous events at a busy national conference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I received the usual reminders about the upcoming conference and did not pay much attention - then I got the invitation to download the Whova app - and I was taken engaged right away! Once I created my profile, I was able to navigate around and find places to upload suggestions for local restaurants and hangouts for conference attendees from out of town. I was able to look through suggestions on engaging, list my contact information, review the people that would be attending the conference, and group myself according to what would bring value to my experience.

I have to say, being first on the leaderboard was a rush! I knew once more people engaged it wouldn't last, but I enjoyed the competition! It was fun to see who the real competitive people were - lol! It was really useful to know in advance who was attending so I could make sure to catch them in person. Being able to send a quick "hello" through the app made it possible to do so because they were looking for me as well.

Being able to create my own personal agenda and NOT have to keep up with a hard copy - that was wonderful! The shuffling of books, papers, and materials has always distracted me but this way all I had to keep up with was my phone. That was worth it by itself!

It was nice to be able to exchange contact information through the app because I did not get to speak to everyone and it gave me a chance to reach out to them anyway. Plus, when I got back to my office I didn't have to figure out which card went with which person because the app showed me their face. I am terrible with remembering faces with names and this was better than a cheat sheet!

Being able to set meet-ups and giving people the anonymity to decide if they were interested helped similar interests find each other.

The lost and found, the photos, logistics!!! Oh my! There was nothing bad about it. The convenience, the organization, the networking, the ability to disperse prizes - the ease of use and understanding - probably made it one of the best conferences I have attended (and I have attended 100's). I got so much more from the experience because I did not have to concern myself with the nuts and bolts of the conference. I set my own agenda, created my own relevant connections, and kept up with contacts afterward. I have already suggested it to several colleagues and will definitely be using it if I ever organize a conference myself!

The only down side I can see is that people stayed so engaged with the app they may not have been paying as much attention to the presenters! Good thing the app had places to ask questions from each session so people had to engage!

Maybe fewer emails and texts, but really, I didn't feel spammed as most of these type things usually do. Keep the emails and texts specifically relevant based on what the attendee engages with and you will hear zero complaints from me!!

Whova is easy to set up and allows you to store all the information you want from the event in one place, pre-promote your booth and to communicate and follow up with prospective clients before, during and after the show. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While setting up my profile, you had to save way down at the bottom. A couple of times, I had to click over to something else and lost my work in the middle of my input. Also, I had to change the sizes on my marketing materials and images to be able to upload. But once, I got this all done, it was all there for prospects. Frist of all, the app was very easy to use and interact with. The Whova app allowed me to see the attendance building for my event, provided a breakdown of the attendee occupation and location, and promptly gave me event updates or changes to meeting rooms. One thing that was the best about the app was how quick it was to make connections and find people when you have a quick social get-together. For instance, I was talking with someone outside of one of the rooms, his coworkers showed up and interrupted our conversation, but you could tell he still wanted to talk. So I looked at his name tag and did an attendee search and found him. Sent him a direct message and we continued the conversation over the messages tab throughout the week. Also, I did this with everyone I met. It was really quick to find someone and continue on a conversation beyond face-to-face. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The notifications got confusing because they were all piled into one notification icon. It would be better to split the notifications as to the ones that come from your messages vs. the ones that come from specific channels. I couldn't keep up with the notifications throughout the event.

Maybe have it so that the notification that is tied to something you said is clickable and it takes you to the actual reply of your comment rather than the comments in general where I'd have to go through all of the comments just to find that one reply. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First of all, Whova was really easy to use when planning my tracks at the conference. I used it to read about different panels and decides which I wanted to attend most. Then I was able to build my own show agenda quickly and easily. This ended up being really handy at the event because I wasn't always sure what room or floor I was supposed to be headed to so I would refer back to my agenda.

The other great part about Whova was how it connected me to other conference attendees. It not only allowed me to communicate with other attendees but it had predictive recommendations based on my work history and schooling. I ended up connecting with an old colleague there because I saw her name on the attendence list and shot her a note. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There seemed to be a section for different user led groups or away from the show organized events and it wasn't clear to me how and when to sign-up or how to best use the feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
