Sometimes, messages that do not need to be encrypted are sent in that fashion without an option to disable it (Virtru could easily enable a pop-up window to appear that requires you to confirm that you would like to send it with encryption turned off). There are occasions when encrypted messages do not send. I either wait for an extended period of time for an encrypted message to send, find a message that I thought had sent in my drafts, or I restart Outlook and try again. The arrangement to encrypt previous messages in an email chain does not provide ease for the included parties to confirm earlier discussion/details without going back through their inbox and finding the original message. I am not sure that there is a workaround for this that is HIPAA compliant but it would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Virtu has been helpful with securing our information as well as the information of our clients. There have been so many articles about hackers and leaks from big companies where personal info is compromised but with Virtu, we feel confident to email sensitive materials. It has been quick to start, easy to use, and working how it is needed so far. Have not needed to contact customer support, which has been great. Personally, I impliment Virtu in 95% of emails sent or received. Simple to use, easy to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this time, we have not run into issues with Virtu, as far as I know. The only thing that has come up is when sending emails to outside recipients, there have been a couple of instances where they were unable to read the encripted information. Resending isn't a big hassle but can be an inconvinience at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that I can manage all of the encrypted emails within my organization by accessing one portal and being able to see if the encrypted emails have attachments or if they have been opened by the recipient.
Review UPDATE:
We had Virtru for along time, but started having issues where people couldn't open legit emails that were sent to a group. We also had problems with multiple users where the email wouldn't go out, we had to involve support and sometimes even they couldn't fix it. We switched to Paubox instead. Sometimes the chrome extension has a few issues and the encrypted emails don't work as expected, but that is few and far between. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My most liked feature of Virtru Email Encryption is its user-friendly interface and seamless integration with existing email platforms like Gmail and Outlook, allowing for easy encryption of sensitive information without requiring complex setup or extensive user training, while still providing robust end-to-end encryption and advanced compliance features for sensitive data protection Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I most disliked about Virtru Email Encryption include its potentially complex user interface, which can be frustrating for both senders and recipients, occasional lagging or non-functionality, and the relatively high cost compared to other email encryption services, leading to some users considering it overpriced for their needs. Virtue is really helpful for when I have to send private information to my clients. It allows the data to be sent securely, and means that we don't have any confidentiality issues. It's easy to use, and is all you have to do is add it to your extentions and can press a button to use virtue, simple. I use it daily in my workplace and any issues, customer support have been amazing to help. It's easy to impliment in the workplace and has a number of features. It's easy to intergrate it into our workplace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't think there's any downsides, other than sometimes clients can struggle to open up virtue messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Virtru is integrated right into our Google Gmail interface and is extremely easy to use for not only the sender but also the recipient of the encrypted email message. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite aspect about Virtru Email Encryption is that is easy to set up and user friendly. I use it everyday and it makes my job easier to protect sensitive information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downsides of using the Virtru Email Encryption is that some emails get overlapped different threads based on the subject line. I repeat my subject lines for uniformity purposes but this would result in miscommunication and confusion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Virtu provides protection against bad actors. It safeguards sensitive information shared files and emails by offering end-to-end encryption. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I dislike about Virtru is sometimes doesn't sync correctly leaving staff members not being able open emails from other employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sending encrypted email to providers outside of the organization is often slow and difficult on the recieving end. They report being caught in a buffering loop for long periods, even days. Both internally and externally, email attachments often require a second authentification which is time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Virtru makes it easy for my to toggle the encryption level of emails being sent to the patients I work with. I really appreciate the pre-poulated message that is included with each encrypted message sent, instructing the recipient to verify their email address. One less thing to worry about! It would be nice to have a secondary way of receipients verifying their identy, perhaps a secure one-time use code. I have run into trouble with patients who do not remember their own email acoount passwords, and therefore cannot open my messages to them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does not require going to settings and is very straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When using a cell phone to look at emails, it sends you to their website to unlock a message. ( which is due to not having the extension or app on the phone, so that makes sense) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
