Their customer service team is polite and despite the number of issues I have raised, they have not become disrespectful. Often times that can happen if you are flagging multiple issues with a business. So I am glad that they have maintained that professional decorum throughout our exchanges. There are a number of drawbacks about the platform. Automated messaging when people first subscribe only works if people text your keyword. But if they subscribed online through a webform, they don't receive a welcome message. Online, when I first signed up, Textedly boasted being able to collect city and state information. Turns out they don't actually do that. For me, that was a crucial component of what drew me to the platform. I now have to ask that information and manually enter it into each contact's card. Not only is that time consuming, but considering that my welcome message template is setup to ask for city information -- anyone who joins by webform will not recieve that question about their location automatically. The majority of my subscribers to date have come from the webform. So all of my contacts had to be created manually. On top of that there are issues with the contacts -- When someone fills out the webform to sign up to subscribe to text alerts, they aren't automatically then added to the contacts list. I still have to manually create their contact in the system. It's incredibly inefficient and time consuming. As someone driving my fanbase from social media to text, I know that people are not going to leave Instagram, type in a keyword to a specific number and sign up that way. The easiest thing for them is to get a link, click a few boxes, and join. So this issue of contacts not being created, welcome messages not automatically being sent, and having to monitor the activity daily to keep the cadence somewhat natural for new subscribers is more than a major pain. The other issue is that when keeping track of the history of messages sent, when someone comes in via webform they start a message history but once you start messaging them they start a separate message history in the Textedly platform. So essentially, in your message history it is listed twice. It can get very confusing when trying to keep track of what messages have been sent (when you are doing it manually, mind you) if they are creating two separate message threads for the same contact. Again, the customer service staff have been nice throughout, but the platform itself needs an upgrade.
Then there are several other ways they upcharge you -- everything has a cost. emojis, special characters (there's one in my name), etc. You find workarounds or get more succinct with your messaging as they quickly begin to make one message count as 3 or 4 because of character count, emojis, special characters, etc. Don't dare have a link to anything in your message...
There are restrictions around keywords. My current plan allows for one keyword. Since I am a music artist, my original hope was to leverage the location information to have several lists within my contacts based on geographic location. With only one keyword, that makes things impossible. Unlike a hubspot, where you can create multiple active lists within your contacts (in my case, by city or state, by coast, by interest, etc), Textedly gives you one keyword to then assign to a contact. It makes it a lot harder to then setup a campaign to target people on the east coast when I am performing out that way.
Again, nice staff. But ultimately, I have an annual subscription that I am struggling to justify after only a few weeks of using it, because of so many backend issues.
The interface itself is not super user friendly either. Things are not in intuitive places or labeled in intuitive ways. Truth be told, I would totally be open to helping their product development team troubleshoot and give feedback because I genuinely want them to be better. But ultimately, I cannot force them to do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fast costumer support. They always answer any questions quickly and find the right solutions. I use Textedly once a week at a minimum but more so 2-3 times a week. We use them to send out important company wide text messages. It is easy to implement as you just update the contacts with your employees and then they are in the system and will receive all company text messages. The keywords are nice as well to create separate groups that you can text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside I see, is the that we have to leave the "Text STOP to end" sentence at the end of every text we send out. This allows for our employees to opt out of the text notifications and then we have to get them to sign back up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Textedly to communicate with our clients. I've created Templates for communications we do on a regular basis. Uploading new client contacts is a simple process. The whole system is very straightforward. I can see which texts go through, which users have unsubscribed, how many we send, and that has allowed me to make adjustments to our plan. We weren't utilizing what we had paid for, so I contacted customer service to change our plan. They got back to me within 24 hours, changed the plan, and refunded the amount paid. It was all very easy, which I greatly appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Organization of Contacts can be a little confusing. I was hoping to do this mainly by Company Name, but found it is important to use Tags as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are loving being able to commincate with several different groups associated with our non-profit organization, including volunteers, donors, and recepients. It's so quick and easy to send out a quick text, and also schedule them, to let them know about events and items needed by our non-profit. We use Textedly several times a week. Customer support has been amazing too! Quick and easy to communitcated with them. We had no problems setting up our account and getting started with their support. I have not found anything that we do not like so far. We have no complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has become a very important tool in my daily business life. I have to communicate the fluctuations of prices with hundreds of customers and must get the update out there quickly, so has been truly enjoying not to haveany trouble with this function. I just have to put togther my update and press send - easy as that - the service does the rest of the hard work! It saved me hours upon hours by now. I have not had any issues with customer support. The only thing i can think of is the limited number of characters per message. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve been using Textedly for my clients, and it has streamlined our communication tremendously. The platform is user-friendly, reliable, and the support team is always responsive. Our client interactions have improved significantly, and the customization options are a game-changer. Highly recommend for any business looking to enhance their messaging capabilities! At the beginning of my transition to Textedly, I encountered some challenges with message delivery that persisted for several days. However, I reached out to the support team, and they quickly resolved the issue. To make up for the inconvenience, they even provided us with some additional text credits. Their prompt assistance made a significant difference in my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Textedly enables me to schedule in advance all my weekly, or even monthly, texts that we send out to all our members. It allows people to respond, remove themselves, and add new members. I love that I can attach a video link with no issues as well. We have been using Textedly for quite some time and customer services is quick and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My one complaint is that when a new member joins and I have messages already scheduled, it doesn't include them. I have to delete all my previously scheduled messages in order to add any new members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's functionality is great, making sending mass texts easy, with many features that mass texting services don't supply (images, for one). The price is not great in comparison to other services, but these extra features are a plus. Customer support is extremely quick, if not immediate, which is a huge plus. The biggest downside I had was setting up the service: for a small community, we don't have all the legal lingo and releases in place, we simply collect the phone numbers from our congregants. For a big company, this would probably have been an easy process, but we faced multiple barriers when doing it (I will say, though, that the support staff ended up coming in strong and streamlining the process for us). I like that Textedly offers a way for our business to communicate with our customers on both a one-to-many basis as well as one-to-one. Textedly creates a fast way to communicate the information our customers need and an easy way to follow up on their orders. The customer service that is provided for our account has always been very helpful and quick to respond to our questions and requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Textedly to communicate with our customers for a once a year event. This makes it hard for our business to fit in with their subscription model in a natural way as we end up not using the resources year round. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I manage over 10K contacts on a separate CRM so textedly allows me to communicate with our contacts in a clear and concisne manner. I like the bulk message feature and the schedule feature. I love that you can add images but can also keep it very basic. My favorite feature is the bulk contact upload. Usually when you follow a CSV outline the file doesnt import as it shoud lbut this one does! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is out of date. We need more search features for the contacts to troubleshoot error messages. For example searhcing for archived contacts, or veiringthe buld contact upload feature of errors right on the spot to fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Textedly is a great resource once you get started. Their customer service team was great when I need help fixing an issue. And in general, I love how simply I can send a message to a bunch of my database all at once so I can share any special offers and promotions without utilizing a bunch of man power. It is very hard for me to stay under the character limit. It can become very expensive when you are trying to send a message. Therefore, I must keep my messages short and sweet so I'm not paying more than my budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
