"Reliable remote support with strong security and management features"
4/5
What do you like best about TeamViewer?

TeamViewer provides a reliable and straightforward way to support customers and manage remote systems. Connections are usually established quickly, even across different networks and without complex firewall configuration.

I particularly value the central device management, unattended access and the ability to secure company accounts with multi-factor authentication. It is a useful tool for daily IT support, especially when managing many different customer environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

The licensing model and pricing can be difficult to understand and comparatively expensive, especially when additional users, channels or management features are required.

The management interface has also become quite complex over time, and some settings are not always located where you would expect them. Occasionally, device assignments or account permissions require more administrative effort than necessary.

I personally prefer the classic interface and usually switch back to it whenever possible, as I find it clearer and more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ying Qin of TeamViewer

Hello Kai,

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We are pleased to hear that TeamViewer provides reliable remote support, especially when managing multiple customer environments without complex VPN or firewall configurations. It is wonderful to know that unattended access and centralized device management help make recurring administrative tasks more efficient.

We also value your feedback about the management interface and your preference for the classic experience. We understand the importance of a clear and intuitive workflow and appreciate you sharing your perspective.

Thank you for choosing TeamViewer and for highlighting the benefits it brings to your organization and customers.

"Usually works, but the new version can have connection issues"
3.5/5
What do you like best about TeamViewer?

The abillity to support someone from a distance. To transfer files to and from them when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

Connection problems, new version feels a lot more complicated and takes up a lot more of the screen. And the fact that there's no "simple" version at a lower price. I only need, remote control, file transfer, and the abillity to keep a few hundred computers in my "phone-book". I don't do meetings, communicatie with the user via Teamviewer, etc. AI featues also don't interest me. A lot of my customers are individuals, not companies. So keep it simple.

Also, getting a meeting with an account manager is really difficult, being a small customer and all. I have been using TV for more than 10 years now, it feels the company has gotten so big, that all personal attention has left the building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Remote control & File Sharing App"
4/5
What do you like best about TeamViewer?

TeamViewer is the best app for remote desktop connections. Just share TeamViewer ID and password of the person you want to take control of pc. That's it. The best part is that it keeps changing your password whenever you close and start the application, so the security is also maintained, or else anyone can connect to your pc any time. Also, in their new update, you can copy and paste data directly from 1 pc to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

A few security issues were present, but TeamViewer solved them by generating or refreshing passwords at set intervals, so now your password changes at regular intervals. Costs are high after the free plan; the free plan allows only 3 devices to be remotely controlled after logging in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Valeria Di Prisco of TeamViewer

Hello Mayank,

Thank you for sharing your experience with TeamViewer.

We’re happy to hear that you find TeamViewer easy to use and reliable for remote desktop connections. It’s great that features like ID-based access, automatic password changes, and secure copy‑paste between devices are working well for you.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding past security concerns and pricing. Security is a top priority for us, and we’re pleased that improvements, such as regularly rotated passwords, have helped address those concerns. Your comments on the free plan and device limits are well noted. Feedback like this helps us better understand how users experience our plans and where we can continue to improve.

What do you like best about TeamViewer?

Good secure remote computer support application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

My licenced TeamViewer software is always installed on the only two laptops I own one with Windows 11 Pro and the other one with Windows 10 Pro. So, I do not understand how I would have exceeded the three devices threshold. And the only time I would have to uninstall the TeamViewer software is if I am rebuilding the laptop or TeamViewer malfunctioned, and I had to do uninstall and re-install the TeamViewer program. Usually, this action will resolve any problem causing the TeamViewer to malfunction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ying Qin of TeamViewer

Hi TeamViewer user,

Thank you for sharing your experience with TeamViewer. We are glad to hear that you value the security and reliability of the application for providing remote support to your family.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding the device limit concern. As this relates to a licensing-specific situation, we recommend contacting Customer Support so they can review your individual setup and provide guidance.

It's wonderful to hear that TeamViewer helps you stay connected and assist your family members with their everyday computer needs.

"Fast, Smooth Remote Access That Makes Helping Friends Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about TeamViewer?

I like the ability to be on my friend's computer without having to actually be there. I like the remote ability to log in and do what I need to do to help them. Logging in with the ID and password is easy enough. It fast and smooth. I like the ability to turn the desktop background on or off. Have not used the paid subscription, as I only use the free version.

I also have not needed to use the support part of the software either. And as far as I'm aware, there's no AI / Intelligence in TeamViewer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

Transferring files can be tedious, depending on how many and how large the files are. And if you're using a software like Teams, Zoom, or Battlenet to talk to the person on the other end, it causing an echo making it hard to talk. They don't hear it, but you do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Valeria Di Prisco of TeamViewer

Hello Adrian,

Thank you so much for your review and for sharing your experience.

Glad to hear TeamViewer makes it easy and smooth for you to help friends remotely.

We understand how frustrating audio echo can be when you’re already using tools like Teams, Zoom, or Battle.net for calls. This usually happens because audio is enabled in both applications.

To avoid this, you can disable audio in TeamViewer by going to Settings → Advanced → Remote Control and turning off “Play computer sounds and music” and Voice over IP, if enabled. That way, you can keep using your preferred app for talking while TeamViewer handles only the remote control, eliminating echo and improving collaboration.

We hope this tip will be helpful in your next connections.

Have a nice day!

"Does good remote support, but overpriced, lack of innovation along with really slow new UI interface"
0.5/5
What do you like best about TeamViewer?

It works and generally does what a remote support tool should. Most of the time at least. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

Long load times of the QuickSupport, unreliability across reboots (works most of the time but not always), incredibly slow and horrible new UI that is forced upon the users. Constant price increases and absolute no new features in the last 5 years that have actually improved the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ying Qin of TeamViewer

Hi Gerald,

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback, and especially for being a TeamViewer customer for so many years. We truly appreciate the trust you have placed in us since the early days of remote support.

We are sorry to hear that your recent experience has not matched the reliability and speed you expect from TeamViewer. Long QuickSupport load times, inconsistent behavior across reboots, and a slow UI can all make remote support more difficult, and we understand how frustrating that can be.

Your comments about pricing and product value are also important. Feedback from long-term users like you helps us better understand where the experience needs to improve. If you are open to it, we recommend contacting our Support team at https://www.teamviewer.com/en/global/support/customer-support/ with details about the QuickSupport loading and reboot reliability issues so they can help investigate your setup more closely.

Thank you again for your honest feedback. We appreciate your long-standing support and will continue using input like this to improve the TeamViewer experience.

Best,

Ying/TeamViewer

"Quick Setup with Seamless Remote Access"
4/5
What do you like best about TeamViewer?

I like how quick it is to connect with TeamViewer without needing a complicated setup process. Even nontechnical users can usually join sessions easily, which is great. I find the file transfer and screen sharing features work very smoothly, especially during urgent situations when quick access to reports or systems is needed. The setup has been very smooth, and even nontechnical people can set it up easily without complications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

One thing that could improve is the licensing or the pricing side, which sometimes feels a bit restrictive for smaller teams. There were also a few occasions where the connection lagged on weaker Internet networks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ying Qin of TeamViewer

Hi Nehal,

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. We’re glad to hear that TeamViewer is helping you connect quickly with your offshore teams and that features like file transfer and screen sharing are supporting you in urgent situations. Making remote access simple and accessible, even for nontechnical users. It is exactly what we aim for.

We also appreciate your feedback on licensing and performance on weaker networks. This is valuable input as we continue to refine both our pricing structure and connection stability across varying environments.

Thanks again for your insights! They help us keep improving.

"TeamViewer is good not great"
3.5/5
What do you like best about TeamViewer?

The best feature of TeamViewer is the ability to access other devices remotely but that’s about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TeamViewer?

I dislike the option to use a stealth mode so the user doesn’t know you’re on their machine which helps to not disrupt the user if they’re in the middle of work which other remote access clients offer. They’ve also been trying to push an awful new UI that is very intrusive that no one seems to want. From time to time I cannot connect to a client and receive an error message then try to connect through Atera and can connect fine so something is wrong there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ying Qin of TeamViewer
