It is a great product for my team to store, organize, and view provider data. It is user friendly and there have been a numbef of QOL updates over the years that have made the product even better. There are some features such as pulling reports and quieries that could use work; the process is long and complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be slow at times and customer service hasn't always been great. When I have called in the past I have spoken to rude employees or it seemed as though I was bothering them. Could also use a facelift; I do feel that the product is user friendly but some of the menus could use a refresh. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Symplr Provider provides the capability to create different queries based on my own needs, and the paint tool is very helpful to pinpoint the data needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no key ID that can be used to identify each provider (or there may be one but we were not able to pull it into query/reports), hence it is difficult to identify providers if there are identical info among two providers, or ampping those that have name or NPI changed. The product is dynamic and can support a lot of data points. custom reporting is also good (once you get it working) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support staff seem to not know the product well. support requests are unpredictable, sometimes they get closed in a couple of hours, sometimes it takes weeks of escalation for the exact same type of request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Symplr Provider's base platform is clean and easy to navigate. It's not cluttered with unnecessary options, making it a breeze to find what I need. Navigating through different features feels natural and intuitive. I appreciate the level of customization available. It's not just about setting access levels; it's also about tailoring the whole experience to suit my preferences. Being able to adapt it to my workflow has made my tasks more efficient. Remote work is the norm now, and Symplr Provider seems to get that. It's much more portable compared to what I was used to before. I can access what I need from pretty much anywhere without much hassle.
The improvement in the query creation workflow is noticeable, especially if you've used older Symplr products. They've definitely stepped up their game in making the process smoother and less of a hassle. The built-in smart tools are a game-changer. They really do help in making things more streamlined and make the day-to-day tasks a bit easier. The creation and use of widgets allow for users to quickly view changes in their day-to-day tasks without additional need for running multiple queries. And the ability to run queries or reports in the background without disrupting other workflows is a welcome change.
When it comes to troubleshooting, having support tools at hand is a lifesaver. It's easy to find the help I need without jumping through hoops, which has saved me quite a bit of time. At the time of our implmentation Symplr recognized deficiences in the process and was able to course correct in a timely manner.
Overall, I'd say Symplr Provider has been a positive shift. It’s not perfect, but the improvements are noticeable and have genuinely made my work more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our experience with Symplr during implementation left a bit to be desired. Symplr's initial project management team should have emphasized involving affected departments in the build and customization process, that step seemed to be overlooked. The lack of input from end-users had a noticeable impact during our go-live phase. It felt like certain crucial perspectives were missing, which affected the system's alignment with our actual needs.
Navigating the system takes some adjustment. Unlike in the past, the side-by-side viewing of different modules isn't as intuitive. This change in format has caused a learning curve, making it slightly less convenient to seamlessly switch between various sections.
Another downside, particularly evident if you don't purchase the full package, is the appearance of functions that users can't utilize. It leads to unnecessary clutter and confusion for users, which can be frustrating and counterproductive. It feels like there's a lack of customization in this aspect, leaving users with tools they can't actually leverage.
Moreover, deciphering errors isn't always straightforward for our administrators. Some errors lack clear explanations or resolutions, making troubleshooting a more time-consuming task than it should be. Some administrative functions within certain modules are harder to navigate. This complexity adds an extra layer of challenge for our team when performing routine administrative tasks, slowing down our workflow and adding to the learning curve.
Overall, while Symplr Provider has its strengths, these aspects have been notable pain points for us, affecting the smooth adoption and everyday usability of the system. We are confident with time we will be able to overcome most of these obstacles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that all of my provider files are at my fingertips. It has helped so much. I use it daily. It is simple to use! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to be able to make applying for appointment an electronic service that I could send out from symplr, as well as OPPE/FPPE monitoring, and payer enrollment added as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Since I am the only person responsible for credentialing 15 providers I like how I can keep track & stay on top of when licenses, DEAs, certifications, etc. are going to expire. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The forms coding is very time consuming and can be very fustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find it cumbersome to figure out how to get the software to do what I know it can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
