I wish integrations were better. I'd love to have imessage on my PC for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it makes the email experience similar to what you'd find in texting applications. Also, the "eyeball" is very, very helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could:
add my peers' calendars
integrate with my CRM and other apps
eyeball specific addresses I send to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spike makes it easier to stay connected with your peers and teammates all the time.
Screen sharing through this app makes presentations much easier.
The app is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
Instant messaging through this app makes Spike a versatile platform.
The video and audio call quality is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spike got some technical glitches at few occasions in the past few months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the chat aspect of the app. The customer service is impeccable (thanks to the tremendous help from Harrison especially). The extra features are fantastic, and the team doesn't stop their effort to improve the user experience. Thank you for adding a dark theme 🥰 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I still have some bugs here and there. For example, often, my mail comes back to my inbox after having it archived or deleted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The overall experience is pleasant, with multiple ways to sort your threads which makes it comfortable to work with.
- 3 options to sort your threads
- Clean interface
- Nice priority and other option
- Tasks and notes option
- Groups and projects option
- You don't have to be a Spike user to work with Spike, which makes it versatile
- Email tracking and reminder
- Easy search, especially on documents, real-life safer for me
- In-browser option Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't feel like the application isn't fully functional yet. There are some options to cooperate, but there is more to what it can do.
- It should be a team app, but I miss sharing options or delegating options to the team and an option to cooperate within the mail
- Its rather slow, if I select a bunch emails and "read" them, it takes ±30 seconds to put them on "read", also they sometimes "unread" by them selves without a reason.
- The pricing method is horrible, every mail address is an account, which means that only 1 person can use this account, so for example; your signature is also from 1 person.
- The in-browser option is great, but the problem is, that you need to login each email address seperately on each device since all addresses are seperate accounts
- When my client forwards an mail and I want to reply, I reply my colleague not the client
- Mailto code from the contact form on our website isn't recognized, so you reply to your mail server instead to the mailto address
- Reminder option is great, but when a client already responded the reminder will still come
- When a client sends an invite and I accept it, it doesn't automatically appear in my calendar, so I should add it by hand Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spike's instant messaging ability is terrific as the messages are delivered without any delay.

I can focus on my work and spend less time getting all my digital communication to play nice together. Spike has a great aesthetic and rich functionality without being hard to use and distracting. The logical evolution of the inbox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
New features seem to be rolling out regularly, so nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Conversational email is a game changer for me, and I can never go back. No more searching through endless threads, trying to find that one email - just scroll up. View your entire chat history with that person across multiple threads, without getting distracted by needlessly long email signatures, disclosures, and confusing, repeated, and multi-level thread history.
It's also packed with useful features, including an auto-saving contact list, email tracking, a document scanner, a calendar, notes, and to-do list, and team-based audio and video calling. These features are best suited for Enterprise-based customers, as everything is shareable and collaborative.
You also have to give special credit to Spike's customer service employees - truly unmatched. I've sent numerous questions, some that are rather complex, and suggestions, all of which are immediately answered with helpful information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I dislike about Spike - seriously, the software and customer service is top-tier. However, because I use Spike alone and without a team, I don't realize the full utility of the services provided; specifically, the note and task sharing, groups feature, and audio and video calls. For a company using Spike, these features would be irreplaceable, and would make Slack and similar programme obsolete; for me, they simply aren't needed.
Also, Spike doesn't integrate with other software, save for cloud storage. While there is good reason for this, as everything - calendar, notes, tasks, team communication - can be done in the app, it loses some of its utility if you prefer, e.g., Microsoft To Do and OneNote or Google Tasks and Keep too manage your tasks and notes. I would love an email, calendar, and contacts-only subscription that is less expensive, which is geared more towards solo users.
Even though I don't realize Spike's full benefit as a stand alone user, I am more than happy with and will continue my Spike subscription because the usability of its conversational email and its customer service is second to none. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
