What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

Solving problems:

1- traditional communicatioverload in same threads.

2-colloboration of apps: other privous managemrnt tools dont provide the colloboration with other tools like google etc , slack making it poss to colloborate other platforms.

3-Difficulties in searching conversations: traditonally if user want to search or track a particular chat or conversation they need to scroll and do it manually , but in slack user can simple the topic of conversation and no time the whole conversation comes. What do you like best about Slack?

Its easy to connect with our team members whenever we need. We have several options available to set our status as Avtive, Inactive, out of office, its totally upto your choice how you want to modify it.

It also helps to send notifications to our collegues for any kind of notifications, when they are in offline status. Easy to communicate with our co-workers over call and can also connect for video call with features of sharing screen. That makes us easier to understand about our works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Some of them are like :-

1. Sometimes while connecting with collegues, we have audio issues.

2. Searching for names is having limitations on it.

3. We also see very minor notifications issue when our status is set to be active.

These are just some of the challenges that users might encounter while using Slack. However, for many people and teams, the advantages of using the platform is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a remote worker or member of a suck a great orginazation team, Slack ensures that I can communicate effectively with colleagues, even if we're working at different times of the day, its easy to send messages even via our cell phone when we stay away from our PC's or Laptop's.

Slack solves the problems of communication between our colleagues, it also solves the slow response times, and challenges faced by remote teams users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

As always, the User Experience is the first thing that I like.

Replying to an individual message in a thread is a very nice feature. This helps in having a clean conversation throughout the chat history.

In my opinion, Slack is way more ahead and better than Microsoft Teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I have no such reason to dislike this app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

In an organization, there is a need to have an official platform where all the team members can have a conversation whether it is between 2 people or in a group.

Besides, there is one more feature that I would like to share and that is creating channels, each channel for a different purpose like client services, operations, project team, dev chat, etc. These channels helps in keeping everything in order and lead to a smooth functioning of the company. What do you like best about Slack?

Slack really facilitates communication with both internal and external stakeholders. I'd previously used other platforms such as Microsoft Teams, but the user experience on Slack is far superior and intuitive for employees. I now have all my messages under control in Slack, and can stay organised by saving tasks for later or pinning messages to channels so they never get forgotten.

I also find the 'schedule for later' function very helpful, particularly when I'm off and still need a message to be sent at a certain time.

I really value the privacy features on Slack as well, being able to keep channels private and not visible to everyone. This is especially useful when working with external stakeholders, when you only want to limit their visibility to a single channel as well. It is clear Slack really understands the needs of its users and communication requirements of employees of businesses of various sizes. I can't imagine using another communication platform other than Slack, it's the best! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Not being able to add data tables to messages. We often do quick data analyses over Slack, and tables with a few rows/columns would be really helpful sometimes to show data, without users having to go off Slack to read these on a Google Sheet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Communication when working remotely: now we work from home the majority of the time, we need an efficient communication system to stay in contact with employees both locally and overseas. Slack has massively facilitated this, and communication feels even more efficient than in-person conversations. You can instantly message anyone in the company, and easily keep track of to-dos and unread messages, much more efficiently than other platforms such as Microsoft Teams.

2. Keeping track of past conversations: a feature we love about Slack is the ability to search back through conversations from years ago. We find this extremely useful when seeing what features were released/bugs we encountered at a certain time, particularly when doing year-over-year comparisons. We can search back through channels when investigating unusual peaks or troughs from a while ago, to find conversations which happened on this date to see what we occurring at the time, enabling us to piece together the puzzle and explain performance fluctuations from years ago.

3. Prior to Slack, teams felt siloed and working collaboratively wasn't very easy. Now, this is greatly facilitated with Slack. We try to keep all conversations relevant to more than one person in public channels, to make sure there is more visibility on conversations that are happening amongst employees, and to ensure all relevant stakeholders are kept informed. This is also incredibly useful for project updates, we have a channel called 'Acceleration Army' which is purely to shout out any successes each team has had over the past months, to allow the rest of the company to support them and give them praise, as well as have visibility on what another team has been working on, and how this may affect their work too.

4. Faster communication and decision-making: solely relying on communication over email made decision-making and project work very slow. With Slack, everything has been sped up, and we're now able to deliver projects much faster, and action feedback instantly, due to the real-time messaging function, as well as the possibility to huddle by calling someone, rather than delaying the process by trying to schedule in meetings over email. Overall, Slack has made our work 100x more efficient and made us much more productive as a company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

The user inteface for slack is quite easy to use. It allows us to organize discussions by topics, projects etc allowing us real time work communication. We have slack integrated with Hubspot, so based on the setup trigger we are able to use send slack messages to open channel or a person directly which helps us to attend priority alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

While using hubspot workflows we are not able to tag persons on the slack channels, which is a bummer for us & sometimes Ctrl+F does not respond very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slack is a comprehensive communication platform, which is super easy to use. We are able to send instant alerts from Hubspot to Slack Channel or to a user directly which helps us attend urgert queries very promptly. Further, slack integration also allows us to manager our hubspot live chat from slack itself, when a customer uses live chat on website, it get sent to a designated hubspot channel & we are able to carry on with the chat from slack itself, which is super nice. What do you like best about Slack?

makes daily conversation with colleagues easy.

I can record, customise, call, chat and utilise other features with ease.

I can also reach out and create groups of colleagues easily.

And also the threads option is very useful.

Nice web version. Also integrated with gmail and easy to implement.

I use it daily for 9-10 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

It hangs sometimes.

There are issues with huddle feature which is why sometimes it is better to use web version instead of app version.

There are certain bugs in the app version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me to connect with my colleagues in an instant. It also helps to set reminder on important tasks.

I can get connected quickly over huddles and it also assists with project collaboration. The video conferencing works without lags.

Overall, an interesting better than microsoft teams team collaboration software which helps me daily to connect with my colleagues.

I have also integrated this with my whatsapp ap which helps me to receive notifications on assignment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

What I really like about Slack is how it keeps communication organized and easy. It's like having one big virtual office where you can chat with your team real-time, share files instantly, and integrate tools like Google Drive, Trello, and more. The channel system is great because it keeps conversations focused and easy to follow, whether it's for a project, department, or just casual team banter. Also, the ability to search through past messages is so helpful when you need to find important information quickly. Plus, the playful elements like emojis and GIFs add a bit of fun to work communication, making it more engaging and less formal. Slack really helps teams stay connected and productive, no matter where they're working from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

In a rare situation, there are delays with how notifications come in, either due to poor internet signal or notification settings that can be set. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

It managed the communication well within the organization and integrated some of other systems we use at work as a one-stop tool for everyone. Sharing links, video, and audio conferencing is easy, and the fun part is that all members of the organization can join and hop into any events or special announcements. It has a to-do task listing and calendar management too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slack?

Slack has transformed how our team works, keeping everyone connected, whether in the office or remote. Dedicated channels help keep conversations organized, and integrations with tools like Google Drive, Trello, and Zoom streamline our workflow. The search feature is a lifesaver for finding old messages or files, and features like huddles and Slackbot make collaboration faster and easier. It’s become an essential part of our daily routine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Slack is great for communication, but managing a flood of messages and channels can get overwhelming. Notifications can be distracting without customization, especially for cross-functional projects. File storage limits on the free plan can also be a challenge for growing teams. While integrations are helpful, setting up complex workflows can take time and technical know-how. Better notification controls and streamlined workflows would make Slack even more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slack has solved many of our team’s challenges with fragmented communication and delayed updates. Its real-time messaging and channel-based organization keep everyone aligned, making it easy to track progress and stay accountable. Integrations with tools like Trello and Asana ensure tasks discussed in Slack flow seamlessly into our workflow. Features like file sharing, huddles, and video calls have improved collaboration and cut email usage significantly. Since adopting Slack, we resolve issues 30% faster and make decisions more efficiently—it’s become essential to how we work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
