What I find helpful about Slack is that I can message several people within my office the same message and get a quick response that everyone can see as opposed to sending everyone an email and having to wait for everyone to reply individually. This eliminates a lot of repetitive messages being sent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Slack is that there are so many channels within my network and I don't necessarily need to have access to them all. I should be able to remove them even if I'm not an administrator and only keep those that are specific to my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the best thing about Slack is how it brings everything together in one place—messaging, file sharing, and integrations with all sorts of other tools. It makes team communication much smoother and more organized. Plus, the ability to have channels for different projects or topics helps keep things focused and easy to track. It’s pretty flexible and allows you to work in a way that suits your team’s needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I face issues with slack huddles where sometimes my voice is not audible on initial joining so I have to rejoin the huddle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In our office, we use Slack for internal communication, work updates, status reports, audio and video calls (huddles), and for various other tasks. Its has a very good customer response for any issue related inquiries. We use it as one and only team massaging application daily. What i love most in this app is the customizable features. For birthdays, Work anniversaries, inductions related update all at one place. We can create a channel very easily. Its so easy to use for our new members and also Integrates with many other collaboration and office tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the app is too slow, not loading or not responding problem coming, It crashed also multiple times. The audio and video quality is low, needs an improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Slack for team collaboration, file sharing and projects discussion. One thing or feature I love so much about slack is the freedom to create channels for different topics . This helps keep the team and discussion organized, making it possible for me to stay afloat of each project and well informed .
Real life discussion and chats no matter where you are is one the biggest flex. I and my team had a webinar ending of January 2025 and it was an awesome experience interacting and sharing our ideas. It connects seamlessly with other tools like Google drive, zoom or Trello.
Also, they have excellent professional customer services . Respond to complaints is a professional way and quick . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Yes! Every app have its own hiccup or quirks. If you are a new User on Slack, you might get confused with the number of messages that will stack up at your page . To mé the notifications are overwhelming if one don't know how to navigate in such app which might lead to confusion and deleting or leaving the platform .
Again, the paid plan can be a bit expensive, emphasis on "a bit". Because, one gets the value of his money or what he/she has purchased.
Besides these, Slack is an excellent tool for businesses and startups and teams looking for an efficient way to communicate, definitely, the benefits outweigh the downsides.
Slack is worth considering if you need a feature-rich messaging tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about Slack is that it is a single place where I can get updates about my work, I can chat with people, I can get notifications for my meeting events as well and I can see a preview of my work.
There are a lot of features of Slack, one of which is webhooks which allows us to send alarm notifications from AWS to our channels. This makes our work very easy.
It is very easy to use, and the implementation of Slack in our organization was very easy. It is also easy to integrate various tools with slack.
I am using slack daily to communicate with my team and to keep an eye on my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I have seen that Slack notification sounds are disabled automatically on my laptop. However, with a laptop restart, it gets fixed. I don't know maybe this is a bug with Slack or my laptop but it's not a big thing.
However, Slack has no other disadvantages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am using Slack for the last five years while working in the software industry, and it’s been a great tool for my team. It’s easy to talk to my team using channels, which keeps everything organized. The best part is that it works well with other tools like Bitbucket, GitHub, and Cube APM. I can also share code, documents, and other files quickly. Slack is more than just a messaging app—it’s a helpful tool for teamwork and getting things done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
over the time i am using slack the i got few things I don’t like. First, it can be expensive for small teams, especially when you need features like unlimited message history. Second, when sharing more than just text—like programming code .It sometimes struggles to handle the formatting properly, making it harder to share and manage code snippets with the team. 1. All the features can be overwhelming to newcomers, requiring an initial learning curve.
2. With so many channels and chats, you can get lost while searching for any specific information.
3. I feel the pricing can be made a bit more competitive to make it more appealing for small organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack is definitely almost made mandatory for the e-commerce-logistics software solution, establishing a working milieu for efficient communication among all users in the team. Real-time messaging and dedicated channels allow for instant coordination of tracking updates, speedy resolution of possible delivery exceptions, and enhanced customer service. The efficient and timely coordination for very big shipments depends on this enhanced cooperation to enhance operational efficiencies. An indispensable tool in an ever-demanding logistics world-Slack! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack is great for communicating in real time, but the sheer number of messages sometimes be too much to handle. It would be advantageous to have more detailed notification controls, either with improved filtering or longer channel snooze choices. Additionally, usefulness for our hectic logistical operations would be much improved by enhancing the search tool to retrieve previous talks quickly, particularly inside crowded channels. Since I've been using Slack for three months or so, it's essentially become a must for team communication. It's what keeps us all linked as a remote team, which includes me. Slack's ability to keep things organized and accessible is what I appreciate most about it. The channels are revolutionary since everything is clearly divided into teams, projects, and themes, making it very simple to concentrate on what is now important. Additionally, the search feature is excellent! I can search through old discussions, files, and texts without losing anything. When you're working on several projects at once, it's incredibly effective to manage everything in one location. Additionally, you may automate a process or create a flow. The possibility of notification overload is what I find objectionable about Slack. When you're part of a number of channels or teams, it can feel like you're constantly getting pings, even when you're not actively engaging in a conversation. Particularly if you're trying to concentrate or if you're working in various time zones and things are happening while you're offline, it could be a bit much. Even if I make a lot of effort to use "Do Not Disturb" mode, there seems to be a constant buzzing noise in the background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack makes everything simple with its channels and direct messages option. It is amazing how you can reply in a single message as a thread and also how you can assign people as VIP. I love Huddles, it is outstanding that you can talk to someone without having to create a meeting, share links, etc. Code and Code block features while you are composing a message are the best!
