What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors?

It is great for reporting. Easy to pull reports, export and organize. I also like the ability to proxy in for an approve and how SF has the ability to audit all actions on a role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Entering candidates into the system and the search function. It takes a long time to conduct a search and takes even longer to access resumes after the search is complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors?

The Org chart view is nice. The iOS app is nice to have too. It allows you to find contact info (phone numbers, email, ect) without having those contact on your phone. The guide for rating your employees too is a good feature. It is very helpful when you have a lot of reviews to do in a short time. It give you a bunch of canned responses that you can personalize. What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors?

There is a lot to improve on. It's not easy to navigate around and can be confusing. The implementation work seemed to be difficult as well for our HR team when trying to make changes. The tool is on dimensional, at least our implementation was. Employee reviews were all we got out of it. We only used it a few times a year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SAP SuccessFactors:

Not sure there are other competitive products on the market, but i would review them first before make a decision on this product. You will want to do a cost benefit analysis before make a decision on using this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors?

There is a decent drag- n-drop feature for managing candidates through the interview process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors?

When our contract ended, SuccessFactors acted like they had no idea nor were they willing to assist in extracting our data from the system. Finally, after nearly demanding it be done, we were given someone to assist with the extraction of the data. It was nearly a blatant disregard for any form of customer service. What problems is SAP SuccessFactors solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing candidates through the interview and offer process. With AdHoc reporting, we were able to provide adequate (though not stellar) recruiting metrics due to limitations with data available for extraction within SuccessFactors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors?

The Performance module had everything we were looking for. Our organization had a challenge with how to manage matrixed manager relationships and that functionality was built into the product - we didn't have to seek out a customized solution. The application was also easy to use from an end user perspective which is key because we had limited training resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors?

Our implementation was handled by Learn 2 Perform, not Success Factors. I did feel at times something was lost having another group handle the implementation v. Success Factors. I think the process to import our employee, job model data, etc could have been easier. Seemingly simple if you are going to manually import each file, the steps and process to actually do this is quite cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors?

SuccessFactors offers the full suite of talent products that we need to run our company, and achieve real business results. We use the system to provide insights and develop our talent to meet the rapidly changing needs of our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors?

At this point, the only thing I dislike is that we haven't yet implemented Succession and Compensation. With those two modules, we will have the full talent suite available to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SAP SuccessFactors:

Although the UI is inviting, other systems also have possibly more inviting UIs than SuccessFactors. However, I am not aware of any other system in the market that provides the depth and breadth of functionality that SuccessFactors offers. Don't be fooled by a pretty UI - dig deep into functionality before making a decision on a product that does not provide as robust of functionality as SuccessFactors. What problems is SAP SuccessFactors solving and how is that benefiting you?

Core HR - didn't previously have a system to hold all HR data, let alone ESS and MSS. The system is intuitive and finally provides a way for us to manage our core HR data. Training - we weren't previously able to assign and track learning across our globally diverse employee base. We can now assign and track training to support development of our people. What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors?

The ability to manipulate the review process in multiple ways allowed for very specific and appropriate reviews for all employees. From a reviewer and reviewee' standpoint the interaction was fairly intuitive and generally followed a linear path. Support team was very responsive and very capable. What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors?

Overall administration of the product required too much interaction with support. Additionally SF seemed to continuously roll out new modules that did not have clearly defined functions. It became difficult to add smaller pieces of useful functionality without signing on for a much larger module that also contained unneeded functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a decent product that works very well if your review process is mostly consistent from year to year so you will only go through one set up. But even so there will be tasks that you will need to involve support in every year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
