The move to V12 for PM forms leaves the customer with limited configuration choices and the administration tools are not yet up to the functionality that customers get using SuccessFactory and the v11 forms. Also when running Employee Central, the integration with Compensation is not as good as it should be. Customers using data files for uploading the Comp forms have more configuration choices. I like the visual layout of the SuccessFactors system. We use modules for our Performance Management and Recruiting activities and overall the system is easy to navigate without having to read a lot of training materials beforehand. We recently rolled out the candidate rating portion of the Recruiting Module and this has been a huge win for our hiring managers and has made the whole process much more green. The common thread among our HR Department is that the system is easy to use, but moves slower than we'd like. On the Recruitment Side of the house, the most common complaint is that you cannot disposition candidates in a group, you have to do it one by one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was a system administrator for the SuccessFactors succession module from 2008 to 2010. I really like the user interface that SuccessFactors used. It included Flash and was intuitive, easy to navigate and sophisticated. I also liked the ability to customize our content (through a work order) and showcase information that was pertinent for us. I could have benefited from a more robust user community. At the time, clients were not assigned a Client Success Manager (perhaps this has changed, I'm not sure). Also, every time I needed to launch a succession task by copying an old task, I had to submit a work order. It would have been nice if that was something I was quickly able to do on the admin side. - Ease of use for both administrators and users.

- Language Pack - we purchased the Russian Language Pack since 75% of our employee population is in the Russian Federation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The handoff from implementation to support is terrible. The support team has no access to the implementation consultants, resulting in excessive amount of time to resolve simple support issues. Routine, recurring requests take up to three (3) weeks to resolve. Rarely do I work with the same support resource, which means I have to start at Square One every time I submit a support case.
- Not all modules are fully integrated with the BizX suite, although we were led to believe all modules are fully integrated. While the Compensation module is robust and feature-rich, it is a challenge to integrate with the Employee Central module. Same goes with the Recruiting Module.
- SuccessFactors does not provide a fully functioning TEST instance. The TEST instance was used to implement the modules. However, the TEST instance is not refreshed on a regular basis. Each time we need our TEST instance refreshed, it costs $5,000. When creating new permission roles in our TEST instance, then recreating in our PRODUCTION instance, we get different results. In one situation, this was the root cause of a serious security breach, where everything tested fine in TEST, but not in PRODUCTION. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
