How powerful the tool is. With evergage we are able to analyze customer's behavior, score customer engagement to predict churn, and engage our customers directly in the app. We're not limited to just one of those benefits and this is providing a ton of value to our organization.
On top of this, the real power is in how it enables non engineers to customize a customer's experience in-app. Our marketing team is the best at copy and knows our space better than anyone else - so we want to enable them to write copy so the CS team can get it into the product and designed well. At the same time product needs to be involved to make sure the message fits w/ the design and aesthetic. With Evergage we can get everything done and get it set up for approval - now all product need to do is sign-off and we're live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With power comes complication, so you need to take some time to learn Evergage to get the most out of it. It's not too complicated as I successfully had an intern creating messages for us, but there is a learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like being able to directly message my customers in their account. Instead of having to reach out to them via email I can just put a message up in their account and have them either 1. get the information I need to share or 2. have them sign up to participate in a variety of testing activities.
I also like that I can give my customers messages when they most need to see them. If I was just emailing them they would be getting information out of context, Evergage lets me give them the same message right when it pertains to what they are doing.
Evergage also lets me see who is doing what in the system, so I know how to better target my messages.

Setting up message from scratch is very difficult. The visual editor is super difficult to use, so if you don't know HTML or have CSS skills making a nice looking message is difficult. It is also a bit convoluted figuring out how to make segments that are attached to messages, then creating actions that you want the message buttons to do. Once you've memorized the steps it is easy enough, but it is a lot to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've had great customer service. I like the flexibility of the Evergage team and willingness to adopt the product for our business needs. We started using the product for one of the e-commerce sides of our business and seen a good lift from the product. Need to be able to push further, but are resource constrained on our side. System can be challenging to learn and have restrictions around how and where we can deploy recipes. The system is built for e-commerce so there need to be more flexible features when dealing with different business initiatives, which evergage has been open to hearing product ideas and enhancements about. I found Evergage so much easier to integrate than other personalization software that I have used. It provided usable information almost immediately. The granular targeting, a/b testing, and the way messages can be customized by user so many different user behavior without needing to code Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that the company is dedicated so much to its clients and to a product that will work with anything their clients want to do. They've been extremely responsive to our requests, extremely patient and helpful with our needs for support, and have amazed us again and again with their flexibility. We use Evergage mainly for in-app marketing campaigns and engagement tracking. In particular, I built a rather unique task list using an Evergage that functions as our initial onboarding process for our low-touch customers that has been very successful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are times when the overall engagement score for our web application users seems to vary without an apparent reason why. The total number of actions and active users will increase, but the engagement score will decrease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
