Field Mapping blows SFDC CPQ's out of the water. Graphical interfaces, which SFDC CPQ doesn't even have anything to compare with. Renewal management is accurate, easy, and again has very helpful a very helpful graphical UI. SaaSteps CPQ is simply a joy to implement and administer. Any Salesforce admin can do it, no developer needed -- like the reams of developers needed to maintain SFDC CPQ. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its strongest point is also its Achilles' heel. Because it focuses so much on ease of use and standardization, sometimes you run in to challenges customizing, something that large enterprise clients will always need to do. Out of the box, the SAASTEPS tool supports complex subscription management with the ability to visualize account opportunities, add subscription dates to line items, and automate subscription renewals. Our implementation team worked directly with us to meet our unique business needs and even went a step further, helping us customize our Salesforce environment to have better revenue reporting. Overall, our sales team is more efficient, our management team has better visibility into business operations, and our Salesforce administration team has more time to focus on other items. Our business has a complicated sales history, which made it difficult to update historical Salesforce opportunities with the SAASTEPS software. Though we were not able to get all functionality on historical opportunities, the SAASTEPS team dedicated a few weeks of their time to helping us get all reporting metrics added and the software works great for new/open opportunities. The Encore solution has provided our customers with an extremely user-friendly tool to purchase all the necessary supplies to run our programs. Encore is well thought out in terms of its design. It manages a wide range of renewal strategies and use cases. Our business processes a large number of renewals, under a variety of contract types, and we have never faced a problem with Encore that had no solution.
SAASTEPS support is fantastic. They truly care about customer success, joining a true partnership with your company and Salesforce team. You are never just a number at SAASTEPS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Encore can be a little trigger happy with its error validation. Rather than validate information at the time it is needed (such as renewal generation), it often validates information at the time it is entered. This has caused some friction with our Sales department, which often needs to enter incomplete data, to be improved later by other teams.
Also, the creation of renewals can be a resource-heavy operation, due to multiple creates/updates being performed against opportunities and their products, and other Encore objects. Because our opportunity object is highly customized, this has led to some problems with CPU timeouts. Renewal creation is our most expensive operation in Salesforce, and most at-risk of failure.
