"NetSuite Streamlined Our Purchasing and Inventory Workflow"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

NetSuite offers a wide range of valuable features that have significantly improved our operations. Since transitioning to this software about five years ago, the experience has been highly positive. In my role within purchasing and inventory management, the system has greatly streamlined my workflow for example, having real-time access to inventory levels and purchasing data allows me to make faster, more accurate decisions without switching between multiple tools. Additionally, the centralized dashboard and automated processes reduce manual data entry and save me several hours each week, enabling me to focus on more strategic tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

Certain processes, like generating reports or running searches, can be slower than ideal, particularly with large datasets. These challenges don’t outweigh the benefits, but they can impact efficiency in day-to-day use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible and Integrative, But Complex Setup for Mid-Sized Businesses"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I like how flexible NetSuite is and how you can interact with it. It's getting easier and easier to connect it with other platforms, whether out of the box or paid services, or using the AI models. We have been able to connect different ways, like an Apple Shopify connection with third party Selena, Floj connecting our POS Square, and using ShipStation for generating labels, all done by CSV. That's the flexibility of those with some of the tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

Some of the modules seem like they were an afterthought or built in, which isn't great. The language and safe search features aren't always clear, and there are limitations in setup that just aren't obvious. This kind of hidden knowledge is frustrating. Knowing that NetSuite is primarily a general ledger would have been helpful and saved us time. The initial setup was really challenging because we didn't have any on-site IT experts, and the consultants weren't much help. We had to manually handle a lot of processes, which was tedious. Also, moving to a web store with a user-friendly interface was harder than we thought, so we ended up using Shopify instead of SuiteCommerce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One, Scalable NetSuite ERP with Powerful Customization and Real-Time Visibility"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

What I like best about NetSuite is that it provides a complete, cloud-based ERP solution that brings together finance, order management, inventory, and reporting in a single platform. This helps reduce dependency on multiple systems and improves overall operational efficiency.

NetSuite also offers strong customization capabilities through workflows, saved searches, and scripting, which makes it flexible to adapt to different business requirements. The integration capabilities with external platforms such as eCommerce, payment gateways, and third-party logistics providers are another major advantage.

Additionally, the real-time reporting and visibility across business processes help teams make faster and more informed decisions. The platform is scalable and suitable for growing businesses, making it a reliable long-term solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

One of the challenges with NetSuite is that the user interface can sometimes feel less intuitive, especially for new users. Certain configurations and customizations may require technical expertise, which can increase dependency on developers or consultants.

Additionally, troubleshooting integrations and scripts can sometimes be time-consuming, and documentation for specific use cases is not always detailed. Performance can also occasionally slow down when working with large datasets or complex saved searches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient, Secure, but Needs Better Multi-Currency & Planning"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I like NetSuite for its security because it allows us to comply directly with our company's security policies. The ease of use is a big plus as it greatly reduces the need for specialized training whenever someone new joins. I also appreciate that it's role-based, enabling the IT department to delegate access according to roles rather than individual users. It's great that I can work on any device and connection too. The fast timesheet reporting and the ability to enter timesheet data on one screen for projects, support cases, and tasks are really handy. Plus, the direct integration with the accounting systems in our company makes things seamless. Setting up NetSuite was very easy, though we did have a few user adoption challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

I don't like that multi-currency settlement does not allow settlement between currencies in purchases or sales. Manufacturing planning also can't be customized depending on custom fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetSuite & it's Scalability."
What do you like best about NetSuite?

The ability of NetSuite to offer end-to-end visibility across operations and finance in a single system is what I find most appealing. Strong process control is made possible by its integrated audit trails, approvals, and validations. With scripting, workflows, and saved searches, the platform is very customizable. It makes it possible to solve challenging business issues without requiring a lot of development work. It is an effective central hub because of its smooth integration with programs like Boomi. All things considered, it is a dependable and adaptable system for effectively managing financial operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

one disadvantage is that managing intricate logic (such as tolerance checks) frequently necessitates the use of scripting or saved searches as workarounds. Certain common restrictions, like line-level controls or partial billing of expenses, are not always clear-cut. Troubleshooting can be time-consuming due to unclear user interface and error messages. Some actions seem counterintuitive, such as managing system-generated records or excluding voided transactions. In general, obtaining advanced functionality may occasionally necessitate additional customization work rather than native support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetSuite Brings Everything Together with Real-Time Visibility and Scalability"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

What I like most about NetSuite is that it brings everything together in one place. Rather than juggling separate tools for accounting, inventory, CRM, and reporting, it all runs within a single system. That makes day-to-day work smoother and saves a lot of time.

Another standout for me is the real-time visibility. I can quickly check financials, track orders, or review performance without having to wait for reports to be generated, which makes it easier to make faster, more informed decisions.

I also appreciate how customizable it is. As business needs change, you can adjust workflows, dashboards, and reports without having to switch to a completely different system. Overall, it feels like a scalable solution that can grow along with the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

One thing I don’t like about NetSuite is that it can feel pretty complex, especially for new users. The interface isn’t always very intuitive, so it takes a while to get comfortable and really understand how everything works.

Another drawback is the cost. For smaller businesses, it can be quite expensive—not only the subscription, but also the implementation and customization. It’s simply not always the most budget-friendly option.

I’ve also found that some customizations and reports can be tricky to set up without technical help. At times you need external support or a specialist, which can slow progress and make changes take longer than expected.

Overall, even though it’s a powerful system, there’s a clear learning curve and some added costs that come with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive ERP Solution, Smooth Setup, Needs Better Bank Integration"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I appreciate NetSuite’s integration capabilities, especially with ticketing software, which is essential for us. The setup process was smooth and accompanied by comprehensive training, making it easy for us. I also value the ease of generating reports and saved searches, which I use frequently. Additionally, NetSuite’s extensive capabilities in handling order management, processing, budgeting, and financials all within one software make it a worthy consideration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

I find integrating bank and credit card feeds with NetSuite challenging. Unlike smaller software like QuickBooks, which makes this process straightforward, NetSuite requires more effort and complexity to achieve this integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Scalable ERP with Strong Automation and Real-Time Reporting"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

NetSuite is powerful because it brings accounting, billing, purchasing, and financial reporting into one unified system, creating a single source of truth for the business. For finance teams, it helps automate key processes such as invoicing, revenue recognition, and approvals, which reduces manual work and helps cut down on errors. The platform is also highly scalable, allowing companies to grow from startup to enterprise without needing to switch ERPs along the way. NetSuite offers strong real-time reporting and dashboards as well, giving leadership clear visibility into overall financial performance. On top of that, its ability to integrate with tools like Salesforce and other operational systems makes it a solid backbone for a modern SaaS tech stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

One downside of NetSuite is that its interface can feel complex and not very intuitive for new users, so it often requires additional training to get people comfortable. Implementations and customizations can also be time-consuming and expensive, particularly when the system needs to be tailored to specific workflows. Some reporting and saved search functionality may require technical knowledge to build and maintain effectively. In addition, certain integrations with other systems can require middleware or extra development work. Finally, when you factor in licensing, implementation, and ongoing support, the overall cost can be high for smaller organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Customizable and Reliable but Needs a Modern UI"
What do you like best about NetSuite?

I use NetSuite as my main ERP and financial/inventory system because it solves a lot of problems like inventory management, financials, payables, and receivables. Having all the business processes under one platform makes things easy to find, dependable for reporting, and robust to rely upon. What I like most about NetSuite is how customizable it is. It may not be great at any one thing, but you can tailor it to your needs. We were the first retailer of our kind on NetSuite, and we molded it to match our business needs. We've since grown and expanded upon our usage of the software far beyond what we originally intended. NetSuite allows us to modify the system whenever we have a specific business need, like controlling order capacity and delivery scheduling, by creating custom records that fit our requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

The UI is slow, clunky, and outdated. I'm hopeful that NetSuite Next (next generation UI) fixes those issues. Navigating between transactions or records can be cumbersome. There also is a pretty steep learning curve around the backend language - understanding how fields and records are joined can be challenging at first. For starters, the look could feel more modern. The current UI feels like it's from the mid-2010s, and it sometimes performs like it. Waiting on fields to populate, sublists to load, transactions to save - it all just feels slow. Creating records, while similar across verticals, could be streamlined. It wasn't that easy. We got lucky in that we had a functional consultant live local to our office in northern IL, but even then we took a staged approach to implementation. Financials first, then AP and purchasing, then sales, AR, and inventory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
