The best part about Oyster is the service in itself - it intermediates and offers solutions for international employment, that otherwise would not be possible in the case of employers outside your country of residence. Great suggestion for health benefits offering/ international insurance. The app is pretty simple and straight-forward to use for your emplyment details at a glance. I loved the fact that when we were demo'ing with Oyster they took time to really understand our situation, and give us a recommendation that was going to set us up for long-term compliance. Also our first contact has been so friendly and responsive that we knew we would be in good hands, and were going to receive a people focused expereince throughout our time with Oyster, as a partner with our company and team members. The team are proactive and responsive. It's not just a platform solution but a people solution. Whilst the UX and UI is seamless, I find the biggest value is what the team at Oyster bring in the partnership. The deep expertise and their network is hugely of value. It's helpful that there is very little interaction with people needed so this saves a lot of time without a need to spend too much time on just conversations with your team. There is some lack of flexibility when it comes modifying contracts. For example changing salary along the way is not that comfortable as it seems once I add it, it can only be changed by your team. I also don't like that I need to wait for a few days to get a first draft of the contract. Some employees when they are joining they are yet not sure if they will want to join as there is a negotiation around the contract. So I think there is too much upfront work until we get to the first draft contract that could start the negotiation with the employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Oyster has been really responsive to questions coming from me and the staff. If someone is directly helping me with an issue and they go out on leave, the issue is handed over seamlessly to a different colleague. Overall the best thing was that Oyster provided with a clear and detailed documentation highlighting all the important work functions. Furthermore, the attachment of drafts of certain documents such as payslips was very helpful in understanding what to expect and how your net income will look after taxes in a foreign country.
