Streamlined Contractor Onboarding and Compliance: Oyster’s automated global hiring process allows me to swiftly onboard contractors without the need for separate legal entities. The platform ensures compliance with local regulations, making it a reliable solution for managing a diverse workforce across different countries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
while I find Oyster to be a valuable platform, there are a few aspects that I consider as potential downsides:
Limited Customization: Oyster’s standardized processes are excellent for efficiency, but sometimes I wish there were more options for customization. Tailoring certain features to our specific needs would enhance the overall experience.
Learning Curve for New Users: Initially, understanding all the functionalities and workflows in Oyster can be a bit overwhelming for new team members. A more intuitive onboarding process could alleviate this challenge.
Pricing Structure: While Oyster provides immense value, the pricing structure might not be ideal for smaller organizations or those with budget constraints. Clearer pricing tiers or more flexible plans would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our experience with Oyster HR has been very smooth from onboardings to offboardings (and everything in between). The platform is user-friendly, and the entire process feels seamless. Their team is highly responsive and always ready to assist whenever needed. A great solution for global employment! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall, Oyster HR provides a smooth experience, but in countries where they rely on third-party Employer of Record partners, processes can sometimes be slower. Since there’s no direct contact with the local EOR, communication may take longer, which can be a bit challenging when urgent matters arise. However, Oyster’s team remains supportive and does their best to facilitate the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Reliable, good customer support, quick to respond and a really well-built platform that continues improving. A lot of the things are self-serve which is great for us as a fast-moving business. This makes onboarding and offboarding quick and clear to navigate regardless of the location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing comes to mind, they're always open to feedback and are continuously improving their services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been in post as CPO for 11 months now, and I have been pleased with the service provided by Oyster, especially our Customer Success and Account Managers. Oyster are always on hand to provide advice, guidance and support, and this often extends to matters that might impact our own employees; they are a true partner. The platform is easy to navigate and integrates with our HR systems seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whilst the country spread is good, there are some relationships that are tripartite i.e. Oyster use another provider in that country to hire the individual, which can delay comms. From a commerciality perspective, there are some circumstances whereby termination is justified, however, we have to factor in that the business case isn't justifiable as the individual is employed by Oyster, as opposed to ourselves. This means that mutual terminations are generally the only option to proceed with ending a relationship and there is additional cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have used Oyster from an user perspective. So, my onboarding with my new organization has taken place via Oyster. It was very smooth. The details were very clear. Also, any queries were clarified at the earliest by the onboarding contact person. The option to sign any agreement documents using custom signature or having the inbuilt feature to signature was very efficient. Overall I loved the experience with Oyster. During my experience, I have not found any downsides of Oyster. My experience was very nice. So, unfortunately, I won't be able to provide any points for improvemnet at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like their platform and, most of all, their service. Having switched from a small, partner-dependant provider, Oyster just feels so easy – they understand the local labour laws, take a proactive approach and solve issues fast. The platform is user-friendly, easy to navigate for both admins and employees, and easy to integrate with HR systems as well. Everyone I came to contact with was extremely knowledgeable and helpful – Sales, the allocated CSM and AM, the support team, the onboarding managers,... I am very happy with this choice :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Throughout the implementation, we've had multiple issues with the way Oyster invoices. We are a small company with a simple accounting software. Oyster has very specific ways in which they invoice and many of their finance workflows cannot be adjusted to the customers' needs. In the end, we found a way, but the implementation created a lot of extra work for our finance team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Oyster stands out as a comprehensive platform for managing global HR operations. The best part about Oyster is its user-friendly interface, which simplifies the complex process of onboarding and managing employees across multiple countries. The platform's automation features save a significant amount of time and reduce the likelihood of errors in compliance, payroll, and contract management. Additionally, their customer support is responsive and knowledgeable, making the experience even smoother. The flexibility Oyster provides to hire talent globally without the hassle of navigating local regulations is a game-changer for scaling businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wouldn't say that I dislike anything in particular. It's more about some room for improvement.
The platform’s reporting and analytics features could be more detailed and customizable to provide deeper insights into HR metrics. Occasionally, there can be delays in resolving more complex compliance or payroll issues, which can create some friction in time-sensitive scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the platform. It is easy to get where I need to go in the platform. It is easy to add new hires. I haven't had to worry about payroll since I've been using Oyster. It has been so easy to make sure our UK contractors get paid on time. We have now added an employee in Spain and it was super easy. Oyster is doing something right when it comes to Support. I have had timely, thorough, and caring responses from the support team. You truly do not find what they have any longer. Great job, Oyster! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not have any dislikes about Oyster at this time. I recently rolled out a new US Payroll system and the implementation and support have been horrible. When comparing to my experience with Oyster it definitely falls short of my expectations. I wish they were more like Oyster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used a couple of different EOR providers over the years and I would say that Oyster has been the best. They stand out based on the following: (1) Communication; our Account Manager and Onboarding Manager are excellent, they ensure that we receive quick and clear guidance on any matter, in any country; (2) Visibility; the platform is extremely useful and allows us to see pay and absence information, which is useful for checking and audit purposes; (3) Expert Advice; Oyster are happy to jump on a call and discuss matters with you, and are flexible in working with us to achieve our aims. There are additional process points you have to follow in situations such as termination of employment, which you wouldn't necessarily always have to do if you employed directly. However, this is the same with any EOR and I have still found them to be very flexible and helpful in these situations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Oyster for a few years now the only thing that actually works is the customer support and the Account Manager.
If you have any problem she's the one who is going to save you.
She won't stop until your issue/problem is solved.
And Oyster is been inscreasing the locations where they have their own entity wich is great, becase you can hire people directly from Oyster instead of a 3rd party company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be honest, the service has been improving due to the fact that our account manager is impeccable and helps whenever she can, and the truth is that she doesn't rest until she has an adequate and final answer to give us.
We still have some problems with invoicing, and sometimes we have issues that take time to correct and deal with.
As for the administrative costs, taxes and fees, sometimes it's not very clear where they come from and what they're for, as well as the increases in them, but once again if we ask our account manager sets up a call with us and tries to explain why they've increased.
