"Effortless Digital Signage with OptiSigns"
4/5
What do you like best about OptiSigns?

I find OptiSigns very easy to use, and I love that there are a lot of great templates available. These templates make it simple to just drop in information depending on what kind of announcement we need, like holiday closures or upcoming events. It's nice that some templates come with motion to make them eye-catching without extra effort. The ability to upload our own assets is fantastic as well, allowing us to add pre-made flyers to the playlist and quickly update the screen. Additionally, setting up OptiSigns was easy with the dongle that simply plugs into the TV, making it straightforward to add locations to our online profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

Recently, I had to try to use a hotspot Wi-Fi to upload a new playlist because the in-house Wi-Fi was malfunctioning. It takes longer without properly conveying what you are trying to do is downloading, so you're unsure that it's not working or it's not going through. I do wish that there was some way to let you know that the file is uploading so that you don't just think it's not working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Remote Screen Management Across All Locations."

What do you like best about OptiSigns?

What I like best is how easy it is to manage every screen remotely. We can update aisle markers, promotions, QR codes and social content across all locations without having to make changes in each store. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

There really is not much I dislike about OptiSigns. The platform has worked very well for us. The only improvements I would suggest are stronger bulk pricing for larger screen networks and even more pre-built templates and widgets over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized digital signage built to streamline your workflow"
5/5
What do you like best about OptiSigns?

OptiSigns is extremely helpful for managing digital signage across a large network of screens in a centralized format. As the largest food service provider on the University of Waterloo campus, we use it to program and manage screens across our 24+ locations.

The scheduling tools are especially useful because they let us plan content in advance and automate updates and set up seasonal menu rotations without needing on-site changes at each location. That capability makes it much easier to keep messaging timely and consistent across campus.

The drag-and-drop editor is straightforward and reduces the time required to build or update layouts, which is particularly helpful for frequently evolving messaging and promotional content. Being able to reuse templates also helps us maintain brand consistency across different locations.

All in all, remote management is a major advantage from a efficiency standpoint. We can update and monitor screens across campus from a single place, which improves our responsiveness when content needs to change quickly.

Performance has been reliable, with content updates syncing quickly across devices. Integrations with common media types and feeds add flexibility without forcing us to use additional tools. Overall, OptiSigns significantly streamlines our workflow, improves consistency, and reduces the operational effort needed to manage a large, distributed screen network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

A key limitation is that the platform can feel a bit complex when managing a very large number of screens and locations. While the core functions are straightforward, navigating between playlists, schedules, and screen groups can become time-consuming without very structured internal organization.

There is also a noticeable learning curve for new users. One gap is the lack of a clear visual “screen map” or layout view that shows how all screens are organized across locations. For a large network like ours, this makes onboarding and training staff more challenging, since they need more time to understand where screens are and how they are grouped. Adding a visual map or hierarchy view would significantly improve usability and reduce training time.

The scheduling and content override logic can also be confusing in edge cases, particularly when multiple campaigns or time-based rules overlap. This occasionally requires extra verification to ensure the correct content is displaying on the intended screens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless All-in-One Remote Content Management"
5/5
What do you like best about OptiSigns?

The best feature of OptiSigns is its easy, all-in-one remote content management.

You can update, schedule, and control content across multiple screens from one simple dashboard—anytime and anywhere—which makes it incredibly efficient and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

Templates can feel limited or repetitive – Not as much variety or customization as some users want. Minor usability issues – Things like needing to manually save changes or adjusting layouts can be inconvenient. Pricing adds up per screen – Costs can increase quickly if you have multiple displays. Occasional performance or formatting quirks – Examples include slow scrolls, image scaling issues, or slight delays. Learning curve at first – Managing playlists, screens, and assets can be a little confusing initially. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlining Digital Signage Across Multiple Locations with Ease"
5/5
What do you like best about OptiSigns?

What I like best about OptiSigns is how easy it is to manage and update content across multiple screens without needing technical expertise. The drag-and-drop interface makes it simple to create and schedule playlists, which saves a lot of time in our day-to-day workflow. I also appreciate the flexibility—being able to quickly update announcements, videos, and promotional content in real time is incredibly helpful for keeping our messaging current across different clinic locations. It’s been a reliable and efficient tool for improving communication and engagement in our spaces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

One downside is that the platform can feel a bit limited when it comes to advanced design customization, especially if you want more polished or highly branded layouts without creating content externally. There’s also a bit of a learning curve when first setting up playlists and scheduling across multiple screens, and occasional delays in syncing updates can be frustrating. While it works well overall, improving speed and offering more built-in design flexibility would make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sam Bui of OptiSigns

"Great Templates and a Breeze to Set Up"
4.5/5
What do you like best about OptiSigns?

What I found helpful when starting was the templates available. Being able to use the templates as a starting point was great to get hands on experience with the system while being able to publish information out right away while also learning how to use it. The setup was a breeze and took within a few minutes to setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

One thing I would like to see if having the functionality of being able to assign users to specific folders/display where they are not able to access the other folders that is not needed for them to be able to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sam Bui of OptiSigns

Hi Tou,

Ease of use is a big plus. The integration with Canva makes creating and uploading content simple. The player can handle all types of media and delivers them at a consistent speed. What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

I wish there were an easily accessible training/education section with modules. I remember doing some reading when I first started using the software, but after the site update I lost track of where that information might have been. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Remote Digital Signage Updates"
4.5/5
What do you like best about OptiSigns?

I like how easy it is for me to make changes to my digital signage without having to physically be at the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OptiSigns?

So far, the only issue I've encountered is if I use the playlist options, the Roku TV will automatically time out the app after 1 hour. The only workaround is using a video file. Something about playing a video file on repeat seems to bypass this issue and my screen can run all day with no issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sam Bui of OptiSigns

Hi Jessica,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! We’re glad OptiSigns makes it easy to update your digital signage remotely and that our support team was able to help with your tax-exempt status quickly.
