What do you like best about OpenPhone?

True mobility, I can use my business phone and clients can reach me anywhere. Porting of lines was easy, setup of call routing was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

Live tech support is not available. However, for the few times we have had issues, it really took no longer to get the problem corrected than it did with other vendors that did have live support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

Most other solutions seem to be based on desktop phones, with ringing to mobile phones as a side benefit.

OpenPhone seems to be more geared to primarily mobile phones with the option of using a soft phone as needed.

This solution works for us as we are more likely to be on our feet, away from our office spaces more often than not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenPhone?

The list of features is astounding. OpenPhone is incredibly feature rich and easy to install on all your devices as necessary. Apps are available for the phone and desktop, and there are several integrations that many will find useful. Being able to start on the phone and continue on the desktop is really an added benefit. And on the rare times I've needed customer service, I was impressed at the speed of the reply and how quickly my issue was resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

The only downside I can imagine is the slight learning curve. Communications solutions that are so capable, so "do it all" are rare to come across and therefore might be foreign in the begining! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to roll out a specific line for specific purpose makes it easy to keep communications organized. OpenPhone has given me the ability to compartmentalize my communications in a way that makes sense and smoothes my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenPhone?

OpenPhone is set up very simply, I absolutely love the AI features of the transcript and the ability to record phone calls. That has been more than helpful in going back and getting information like names emails and the ability to send my recorded calls to my manager for him to critique them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

Honestly, I wish there was a better way to organize it. It's really hard to stay organized with companies that I currently am partnered with, homeowners that I'm working on estimates for keeping those organized with all the cold calls that I do is really hard. It would be helpful if you could put people in different folders or areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

I think that the idea with tags is a great idea, but being able to put contacts in different folders would be extremely helpful. I feel like I forget about certain homeowners and following up with certain important companies due to the mix with the cold calls on some of my new companies Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenPhone?

The ability to start small, add services as needed, and detailed instructions every step of the way. When comparing other services, it was clear that even though OpenPhone did not have every option out there. But....they had every option that I needed and at a price that the competition could not beat. The set up was easy and for things that are more complex, the knowledge base and FAQ's are very detailed and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

Need a MSTeams integration. I know everyone uses Gmail/Google, but I like Microsoft and have partnered with them so the ability to integrate into MSTeams and other MS prooducts would be great. Other than that, nothing to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping my business and personal communications seperate. Also, the ability to use my phone, laptop, desk computer to handle calls is great. The tracking of calls and checking them off as "Done" has certianly helped in keeping track of my day and who I need to call back or follow up on. It's almost like a minature CRM. What do you like best about OpenPhone?

What I Like About OpenPhone:

I appreciate how user-friendly and intuitive OpenPhone is. We use Open Phone everyday for our mobile notary agency. The snippets feature is incredibly helpful, and the settings are easy to navigate. I love how simple it is to set up and manage conference calls. The platform allows me to input a phone number, automatically create a conversation, and even revisit an empty conversation later.

The ability to add notes to each conversation is a great feature, making it easy for my team to stay organized. OpenPhone offers a variety of useful features, including a monthly review summary, which is insightful—although I find the two numbers displayed side by side a bit confusing. I assume the light grey number represents the previous month.

Despite trying other platforms, I keep coming back to OpenPhone because it’s the most modern and user-friendly solution available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

What I Dislike About OpenPhone:

When I click on an image I sent to a client, it doesn’t always open the correct image.

When a call is forwarded to my personal cell, there’s no clear indication that it’s coming from OpenPhone.

Customer service response time is slow, which can be frustrating when issues arise—though, fortunately, there aren’t many.

I find integrations and webhooks unclear and don’t know how to use them effectively.

The "Change Greeting" feature feels outdated and could use a refresh.

For menu options, it would be helpful if OpenPhone indicated which option the client selected, so we can better understand their needs.

I wish my team members could see the contact names I've saved—right now, I can see them on my end, but they cannot on theirs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

OpenPhone helps streamline team communication and client interactions, making it easier to manage business calls and messages in one place. As a business owner, I need a user-friendly and modern system that allows my team to communicate effectively without technical barriers.

Some key benefits include:

Efficient call and messaging management – I can quickly input a phone number, create a conversation, and add notes to track client interactions.

Collaboration across my team – My team can easily access conversations, making it simple to stay aligned on client communications.

Ease of use – The platform is intuitive, and the settings are easy to navigate, reducing time spent troubleshooting or training my team.

Snippets and automation – The snippets feature saves time by allowing quick responses, improving efficiency when handling multiple clients.

Monthly review insights – OpenPhone provides usage data and insights, helping me track business activity and improve operations.

Overall, OpenPhone helps me stay organized, improve team collaboration, and provide a seamless experience for my clients, making it an essential tool for my business. 🚀 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenPhone?

I like how easy it is to use. The support is sometimes very helpful when they know their stuff. I like the AI summary generated feature. Saves time. I use this everyday. I dont use intergration yet but will have to. Can be impleted very easy with the right support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

When support does not know what they are doing. Maybe more info on how to's in the website could help. Like on how to add a voicemail and to make sure it is not a MP3 file etc. I just had a issue like and that and had I known I would have asked for help from support. What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helps me solve a communication problem world wide. I have people to call in the USA and this is the right solution for me since I am in Mexico. This is a great solution to note taking on important calls since they have a great AI call summary feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Genuinely love OpenPhone! It has made running our business so so much easier! My small team (3 of us) and I can all stay in the know with what's happening with our clients. Nothing slips through the cracks because we are all on and mointoring each conversation. And the internal thread capabaility is AMAZING! We use OpenPhone all day, every day to run our business, and our clients love knowing they can access all of us at once! Integrating it into our business was easy! What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

I haven't found anything that I don't like about it... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

OpenPhone solved our internal communication issue-we were having to update the whole team on how conversations were going and where conversations left off, but now that we can all access each conversation (not to mention the recorded phone calls WITH transcriptions) we are all up to date and can easily step in if one of us is away from the phone! What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

There should be an option to download all the calls data record including call recordings in a single click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

They have resolved my last invoice which got delayed due to my credit card mis functionality. My due date had been passed, however, after negotiation with OpenPhone representative, they extended my invoice due to the last day of January 2025.

I am thankful to their team for cooperating and extending my pending payment due date without unstinting my contact number. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenPhone?

I liked most that OpenPhone were prepared to text my New Zealand mobile (a code - which must have cost them). Once they did that I knew they were professional. Plus their customer help desk answer emails thoroughly. I found this a refreshingly caring attitude from a business. I also like the way the phone system has loud noise alerts for texts or phone calls (so even if you are some distance away you can hear). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

I'm not a very technical person but even I can manage the basics of the texting function (which is all I need it for). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

The business problem I (a New Zealander) had was, a large American company would only accept USA phone numbers. So in order to open an account with them, I bought a USA phone number from OpenPhone, for an affordable price, I would like to add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenPhone?

OpenPhone updates quickly, and keeps up with new technology available. The ability to direct call-flows to team members while automating other processes has been a game-changer for us, along with being so easy to show our new team members how to use. AI summary of calls and transcripts make day-to-day call management a breeze! On top of that, customer service is worlds better than many other similiar providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

OpenPhone has so many benefits, it is hard to find the negatives. One common issue our team member have is the contact names not updating anymore, which has always been fixed by a simple delete and re-download. We seriously have no complaints! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

OpenPhone has rolled out new technology in the past year. Including the transcripts of calls and AI summary notes. Originally, our team was spending too much time on getting the information just right. Now, with the new system in place, we are able to take calls anywhere and trust the transcript to notate all the important details. This has stream-lined our ability to answer more calls efficiently, and keep up with the growing demand from our clients to be the best! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenPhone?

What I like best about openphone is that it is a service that allows me to receive verification codes for free, from some services that I would originally have to pay to receive those codes from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenPhone?

What I dislike about openphone is that I sometimes have a hardtime receive verification from those services like google, whatsapp, yahoo or PayPal where they do try to block VOIP number to be used for verification. Also I would like its call quality to be better be because when I receive and make calls, it hangs up after a few seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenPhone solving and how is that benefiting you?

Openphone give you a second personal phone number that can be used to make calls, receive texts and verification codes, with the need for a separate device. This helps manage my personal second communication on multiple devices which allows to stay flexible and organized while ensuring I never miss important calls or messages. Also, it helps in keeping personal and secondary communications separate, making it easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
