What I like best about Notion is its modern interface that feels intuitive and easy to use. What I really don't like is the idea that the document or a page is very editable, for instance, I don't like to go to a Notion document to get some information and when I hover the mouse, it seems like I am trying to edit something, sometimes we just want to be the reader and get info not add it. While Notion offers a lot, I do find it difficult to integrate it smoothly with other tools, like Google Calendar. Additionally, the learning curve can be steep, especially when trying to set up complex systems. I love how customizable the space is for what you need. I use it for many freelance writing areas, such as compiling and organizing projects. I love all the features that have been added, especially the AI and the calendar, which can sync through the space. I find it paradoxically complicated to share content. If I want to share a page with a colleague or friend, I have to authorize them to the page, there is an access request, I don't know. I find that there are simple things that it doesn't get right. one example is when I create a table but change my mind, there's no undo button or delete button for a table, I shouldn't have to restore a previous version, especially if I created a table and then created some other content but changed my mind. I just started in a new company, all of their knowledge base lives in notion. Notion AI Writing Assistant is really a game changer. I can just ask notion AI about a topic and it would give the a complete answer that I can just copy and paste to send my customer. It would also give you the links to the documents in case I need to double check, and even look for conversations with the keywords on slack! Knowledge management couldn't be easier! Because everything is on the cloud, notion loads documents with more latency than I prefer. It's a similar problem to Google docs, when every document seems to take a while to load. Working collaboratively on the same document also poses challenges - the syncing is slower than Google docs, so you may not see changes made by someone else reflect on your screen until you refresh.
