Absolutely no complaints up to this point. A mobile app would be amazing to have in the future, but it can be used from your mobile pretty smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are currently using Nestor to make sure our employees have the right skills and competencies needed to perform their roles accordingly and to assess their evolution twice a year.
Nestor has been a trusted partner in the process, providing our HR department with customized recommendations to meet our needs and get started smoothly. In the first phase, we mapped out the skills and competencies of some critical departments with stretch assignments and a need for upskilling from a leadership perspective.
We managed to identify what the gaps were and the next step was to set personalized growth plans for each individual. Nestor’s growth plans were very useful in this direction as we could assign very easily skills that need to be developed and also growth objectives. Tracking employee skills has turned into a straightforward and transparent process ever since, with benefits on all sides: HR, managers, and employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
By this moment, I couldn’t find any cons, maybe except for the fact that a mobile app will be quite useful in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was useful to understand at a glance if I have the skills required by a particular project.
I like that I can have trainings suggested on my profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No smartphone application is available now.
Nothing else to add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I like best about Nestor is its straightforward processes for HRs, people managers, and employees alike. The setup is very quick and I can easily define job roles and skills repositories so we can have a clear view at each point about the skills and talent available in our organization.
Further on, we can easily assign skills and competencies to jobs, effectively manage performance expectations and identify individual strengths and areas for improvement for each individual. Also, the feature that allows me to search through the database for a particular skill has been very useful.
From my viewpoint, having job roles, skills, and performance management all together it’s a great win. By using OKRs templates, we ensure alignment at the organizational level, and through regular performance reviews, we can assess skills from multiple perspectives (self-assessment and manager’s assessment) and identify actions for future growth. It’s like putting all the pieces of a puzzle back together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We work closely with the Nestor team and there’s nothing I would add at this point. The solution has been smooth and user-friendly, regardless of your digital proficiency. Still, for maximum adoption and regular usage, it’s important to get onboard and engage your leadership team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The comprehensive skills library and the integrated development framework.
The level of configuration and customization, included some small details we needed in the skills framework.
The skills mapping functionality is very useful for employees to manage role expectations.
The possibility for our managers to help their direct reports grow in the company and collaborate on growth plans.
Setting and tracking OKRs and aligning company goals with employee initiatives.
Reporting and high data granularity when using filters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing to complain yet. I will review this area in a few months maybe.
The customer support is excellent. The product team at Nestor considers the feedback received from their customers. This adds a lot to the customer experience, we even had a request delivered and this shows profesionalism and care for their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use the Nestor platform for performance reviews to track objectives and for people development journeys in our company.
The feature I like the most is the interactive profile where I can add my skills, evaluate them and keep track of my evolution over time.
Searching for other people’s skills in the company is something that inspires me and makes me curious.
Asking for a meeting with my manager is easy to setup and after the meeting we can document it.
The feedback forms are intuitive.
The team at Nestor is very responsive if we have questions or we need help in using the platform. I like the fact that they are open to feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Before Nestor we used to share the feedback in emails. It would be great if the platform could collect the feedback from email as well.
When creating objectives, a draft mode would be useful.
It would be nice to have a summary email every week with the progress of our entire team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall, the platform looks nice, modern interface and a good user experience. Our team understood the concepts rapidly after just one onboarding webinar.
- it’s great that we can track skills and competencies and we can also link behaviors that we review them on a monthly basis
- the KPI tracking is very nice, with colored dashboards and progress
- the high level of customization
- performance reviews pull a summary for the entire activity, which is time saving for a manager
- the employee skills profiles and the fact that they are linked to the roles and their recommended skills
- one-on-one meetings that can be setup with my direct reports
- interactive dashboards Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support team handles some of the configurations for you and this could be open to administrators.
For the cascaded goals some of the data could be averaged or summed up by default.
Dashboards need a bigger screen for you to be able to make decisions, using your mobile for this is not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like it because we don’t use Excels anymore to track progress and some of the information we used to store in different locations we now document it in Nestor.
I have a dedicated space to manage and view my skills and Nestor shows the gaps and the history for all my activities.
The skills chart is informative.
It’s easy to set meetings with my manager or other peers.
I like the transparency over team and company goals. Seeing the objectives of other colleagues is a nice functionality.
For the OKRs, is nice to be able to customize the targets and how the data is organized when sharing updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to add here for now, maybe I will be able to add more in the future.
Suggestions for the future: access between pages could be more linked, two-way calendar synchronization, the Slack integration is good but could use multiple channels functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the fact that I have one single tool for everything I do with regards to my direct reports’ performance and development. We use it for OKRs, track KPIs and team progress, run monthly 1:1s and performance reviews, answer to engagement surveys and share peer feedback. The feature that I love is the growth plan and skills profile for each of my direct reports. I am able to see the gaps and the requirements for each role in my team and I can track their progress over time.
Dashboards are rich and informative, and the interface is intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Too many notifications :). I’d like to be able to organize threads and receive some of the notifications in an aggregated email. Other than that, I feel that the tool does its job pretty well. The Slack integration is great, but it would be great if I could switch some of the email notifications to come in a separate slack channel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the skills hub because is very flexible, everything is configurable and it helps us establish a common language for our people when reffering to skills and capabilities.
The user interface is modern, easy to use and it offers nice charts everywhere.
Good reporting module with multiple filters and selections to segment the data.
The skills module is well connected and integrated with feedback forms, performance reviews and objectives.
The onboarding was very smooth and the customer success team is very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Is hard to find something I don’t really like, but small improvements are always well received. More flexibility in setting and configuring different notifications may be something worth mentioning.
The support is amazing! Every time we needed a change or we needed their help it just happened almost instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
