What do you like best about Miro?

Miro allows us to quickly generate ideas and collaborate on new processes and move ahead with our planning! I love the flexibility and visual nature with an infinite canvas. It's great when you don't know where to start on a project. A miro board has replaced multiple different files and organizes our team in a central place. A life saver! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

I can't think of any dislikes. Quite the contrary! They are always innovating so if there is a feature I think is missing (or haven't even thought of), it comes out quickly. Thank you! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro solves our problem of centralized, collaborative planning. Our team is remote and we can all come together async or sync to build on our ideas and planning into a single board (or more).

Miro also solves our problem of big picture product set up and implementation planning. Early on, we can visually map out product goals, stakeholder needs and build out our plans. It allows us to continuosly iterate! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

- Real-time Collaboration: Working with colleagues on a shared board feels seamless, whether we're planning sprints, brainstorming ideas, or mapping workflows.

- Intuitive UI: The drag-and-drop functionality, sticky notes, and templates make it easy to structure our planning sessions.

- Integration with Development Tools: I'm usually syncing with Jira, makes the transition from planning to execution smooth.

- Flexible and Scalable: It works well for both small teams and large-scale software projects.

- Easy to implementation: Since it's a web based application, i don't need to install additional software, just open it in browser and do anything with it.

- Frequency of Use: Usually i use it before start sprint on the development phase, i use it for breaking down big task into smaller piece, so i can work on my sprint smoothly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

- Performance Issues on Large Boards: When working with complex sprint breakdowns, the board can get sluggish.

- Limited Free Plan: While the free version is great for small projects, advanced features require a paid plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm as a team member of development team, can collaborate easily when working with small to large of teams, because of the flexibility about creating board without any additioinal software on my computer. Also, since it's web based application, and every integration are autosaving to the cloud, i dont need to worry if i lost connection or my computer is trouble accidentally because it will auto save on our last work immediately. What do you like best about Miro?

What I love most about Miro is the way it helps my teams plan and collaborate visually, in real-time. It allows everyone to grasp the bigger picture of what we're trying to achieve and provides a simple way for everyone to contribute. It’s truly a game-changer for remote work and even beats traditional white boards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Boards can sometimes become overwhelming with excessive details and descriptions. It would be great to have the option to add collapsible descriptions to more shape types, rather than relying on comments that may get overlooked or the card shape type.

Additionally, I’d love to see more professional sticker options available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro solves the challenge of remote collaboration by providing a platform for teams to plan and work together visually, in real-time. It helps everyone understand the overall vision and goals, while making it easy for all team members to contribute. This approach has significantly enhanced our ability to collaborate effectively from a distance, making remote work much smoother and more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

As someone who works entirely rometly, I believe the real strength of Miro lies in its versatility for team collaboration. The infinite canvas is a game-changer - it's like having a giant wall where you can just keep adding ideas without running out of space. I particularly appreciate how seamlessly multiple team members can work simultaneously, making remote brainstorming sessions feel almost like we're all in the same room.

The template library is extensive and saves tons of time. Instead of starting from scratch, you can grab pre-made frameworks for everything from sprint planning to customer journey mapping.

Integration with other tools is another major plus. The platform plays nice with Slack, Jira, and other common workplace apps, which means less time switching between different windows and more time actually getting work done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

While Miro is powerful, it does have some frustrating aspects. The learning curve can be steep for new users - I've seen team members get overwhelmed by all the features and toolbars initially. It's like handing someone the controls to an airplane cockpit without proper training.

One significant limitation that really bugs me is the lack of free-flowing, natural drawing capabilities like what you find in Excalidraw. When you're trying to quickly sketch out an idea, Miro's drawing tools feel somewhat rigid and mechanical. Sometimes you just want to make a quick, organic-looking flowchart without fighting with perfectly straight lines and precise shapes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

These solutions have directly benefited us through:

Reduced project completion times

More engaged remote team members

Clearer client communications

Better documentation retention

More efficient decision-making processes

Improved cross-functional collaboration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

As a Product Manager, Miro has become an indispensable tool in my daily workflow. I use it every day for diagrams, brainstorming sessions, retrospectives, organization, documentation, and research. It has completely transformed the way I collaborate and structure ideas.

Another major advantage is its stability and performance. I have worked with large boards filled with data, and Miro has never crashed or slowed down. That level of reliability is rare in collaborative tools.

Additionally, the AI-powered features have been a game-changer. The team prioritizes meaningful innovations, rolling out updates quickly and efficiently. The AI enhancements genuinely improve productivity rather than feeling like unnecessary additions.

Miro's implementation and integration process is seamless, making it easy to incorporate into any workflow. And about Customer Support, I've never needed because everything just works fine.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their workflow and make teamwork more seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

While Miro is easy to start using, its vast flexibility can be overwhelming for new users. The freedom it provides is great, but it can also be confusing at first, making it hard to understand the best practices for navigation, zooming, and structuring boards properly.

I personally had to watch YouTube tutorials to learn how to keep my boards organized and avoid them becoming chaotic. For beginners, this initial learning curve can feel intimidating, and some guidance on best practices directly within the platform could make the onboarding experience even smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro solves one of the biggest challenges in collaboration and visual thinking—providing a flexible yet structured space where teams can brainstorm, plan, and document ideas seamlessly. As a Product Manager, I need a tool that supports everything from retrospectives to research and strategy alignment, and Miro brings all of that into one place.

The biggest benefit for me is the ability to organize complex information visually while ensuring my team stays aligned, even when working remotely. Instead of juggling multiple tools, we can map out workflows, share insights, and collaborate in real-time, all in one dynamic workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

Miro makes it easy for members of our leadership team to engage with and use consistently. It appeals to those in my firm because it's a visual tool that can be manipulated to fit our preferences and working style. Everyone has been very eager to adopt it and incorporate it as part of our normal workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Miro can get a little clunky when dealing with PDFs vs. images, and sometimes the text tool isn't as intuitive as I'd like it to be (i.e. I still haven't figured out how to change the size of the text box without it being constrained to the size of the font). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work with a team of people who prefer visual presentations vs. documents with a lot of text. Miro allows us to collaborate in a way that engages everyone, including my firm leadership, and maintains a record of the work that we're doing. The tool has a lot of uses for different studios — our design teams can use it to collaborate with consultants or other partners; they use it as a place to store materials that I (marketing) would need; and I can use it to get my teams on board with strategy for business development or project presentations. What do you like best about Miro?

I like how easy it is to create new cards and tag them, so I use them for programming tasks at my company. It is also super easy to use. I have tried several competing options but they were all difficult or crashed. But Miro works well. It's easy to implement projects because you can create multiple dashboards for each project and you can use them with your team, your friends and more.

I currently use it in all my personal and company projects.I haven't needed customer service so far which has been a plus.I even noticed that you can use multiple apps, which makes integration faster!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Having to keep zooming while holding ctrl, it would be interesting to just use the scroll, I've never tested Miro support, but I didn't easily find a button Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's so hard to manage programming projects mentally because it has so many functions, with Miro I can just create several cards and divide them between to do, production and completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

I use Miro for organizing information related to a project. Screenshots, links, flow diagrams, competitve details, timelines - everything goes into a GIANT Miro board where I can easily find what I need and efficiently share it with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

At my last job we had a limited group of people that needed to actually collaborate and add to Miro project boards, and a lot of people who just needed read access. What I absolutely hated was how Miro would allow people to join the team, and automatically add them as an additional licensee - thereby increasing the subscription each time. I would constantly have to remove them so we wouldn't get billed. I wasn't able to turn this feature off (although I didn't spend too much time trying). IIRC, my solution was to share the board link and grant viewer only access. However other teammates were not always as careful when they shared boards, causing the invitees to get added to my license. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm a very visual person and prefer to have complex projects documented visually. While a traditional document is often the final output for a project, Miro makes it very easy to organize everything leading up to that deliverable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

I like that Miro boards allow you to do so many different things, from flow charts, to information organization, brainstorming, to keeping track of tasks. It's such a great tool for collaboration: I like that you can have many collaborators in one board at once, each doing their thing, without the user experience getting laggy or frustrating. It's easy for anyone to figure out - the barrier to entry is very low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

There's not much I don't like. I believe it's exactly the tool it's claiming to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use miro for many things. One example is creating signal diagrams for hardware systems. It helps us visualize the process and quickly discover if we're missing something, helping avoid costly mistakes in the future. Another example is using the board for collaborative, cross-departmental task planning. With this, we get more visibility into other departments' work, understand their priorities and how we can help, and feel like we're all more aligned in terms of our work and company values. It helps us feel more connected to our colleagues, feel like a team. Many of us work remotely, so using Miro helps us bring out team closer together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
