"Miro: A Great Design Tool - If You Are Using a Mac"
What do you like best about Miro?

For me, the symbol system has saved the most time - I make a component and then reuse it as many times as possible. I can change all instances of it at the same time, rather than having to search for each instance individually. Honestly, I would be sad to lose the component/symbol workflow (and the plugins) if I moved away from using Miro. In addition to the component/symbols workflow, the number of available plugins is huge - if there isn’t a basic function you want the tool to perform, there’s likely a third-party plugin that will allow you to do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Miro is only available for Macs. Since our development team uses PCs, they are unable to use Miro, which creates significant issues when a client or new employee comes onto the team who uses a PC. The prototype function is very limited compared to other tools such as Figma and Xd, and it’s not where Miro excels. Large file sizes with complex graphics can become slow while you’re in the middle of a workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Visual Collaboration for Distributed Teams"
What do you like best about Miro?

Miro provides exceptional visual collaboration capabilities that have significantly enhanced our team's productivity. The real-time collaboration features are seamless, enabling team members across different time zones to work together effortlessly. The extensive template library is well-organized, making it easy to quickly set up workshops, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities. The intuitive interface requires minimal training, which accelerates adoption across our organization. The platform's support for distributed teams is outstanding, as it centralizes all collaborative work in one accessible location. Integration capabilities with other business tools streamline our workflow significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

While Miro is a powerful platform, there are areas for improvement. Performance occasionally lags when working with very large boards containing hundreds of objects, which can impact productivity during intensive brainstorming sessions. The advanced features require deeper exploration to fully understand, and we would benefit from more comprehensive documentation and video tutorials for enterprise users. Some third-party integrations could be more seamless, and we've experienced occasional synchronization delays when switching between connected applications. Additionally, custom connector development could be more straightforward for organizations with specific workflow requirements. The pricing model for larger teams could be more flexible to accommodate different organizational structures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Infinite Canvas + Miro AI: Fast Clustering, Clear Product Flows, and Better Team Alignment"
What do you like best about Miro?

The combination of Infinite Canvas and Miro AI really helps when I’m designing complex systems like document management or fleet logistics, where I need to hold the “big picture” and the “fine detail” in view at the same time. Miro AI’s ability to instantly cluster sticky notes by theme saves me hours of manual synthesis after research sessions.

I also see a real workflow impact in how it helps prevent information silos. Instead of hunting through scattered PRDs, the team can rely on a single visual source of truth for the entire product logic, from discovery through to dev-ready flows.

The fact that Miro Sidekick is now involved in every part of the canvas has accelerated my process like creating user flows in no time and allows the non-tech team to better understand the process and the core of the product. That shifted my team’s productivity to the highest level possible (we won a 6-hour Cursor hackathon because of it).

Prototyping is easier than before and allows us to sometimes skip using Figma for that part. Current MCP involvements also allow us to dream bigger about MVPs from different perspectives, crafting more products with much better UI and UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Sometimes, I need to use tools like GPT or Gemini to refine my prompts and save Miro Sidekick tokens. I would love to be able to do this directly inside Miro itself, without needing to rely on external tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances Visualization, Needs Improved Layering"
What do you like best about Miro?

I like the new prototyping tools and wireframing features in Miro. I really appreciate that Miro constantly develops and introduces new elements like voting and picking features, which meet my expectations. It's also helpful for improving my workflow, allowing me to collaborate easily with people who may not naturally visualize ideas. The tools are easy to use and allow everyone to contribute, even without specialized knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

I find stacking elements in Miro problematic. When I want to group things and move them backwards or forwards, it doesn't work quite well. It feels like this feature could be improved. Also, with wireframing or creating a simple line and putting elements inside, the line tries to collide or snap to everything, which is frustrating. It can definitely be improved. "Engagement Boost with Intuitive Design"
What do you like best about Miro?

I like Miro's design and the way they constantly implement new features. I find value in the community around Miro, which offers lots of different widgets, tools, and templates that I can use. I appreciate that they are always evolving. Learning from the community's templates and creating my own helps me structure my knowledge and build a library for future workshops and scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

There's one thing that sometimes doesn't work well: when new participants join my board during a webinar, especially if they have never used Miro before. Although they don't need to register, sometimes Miro prompts them to register, which can confuse them. They get lost and don't know what to do, so they can't enter. This creates some frustration at the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, Flexible Collaboration with an Infinite Canvas"
What do you like best about Miro?

What I like most about Miro is how intuitive and flexible the platform is for collaboration. It makes brainstorming sessions much more organized, especially when working with remote teams. The infinite canvas allows us to map ideas visually without limitations, and the pre-built templates save a lot of time when starting new projects.

I also appreciate the real-time collaboration features. Team members can comment, edit, and add notes simultaneously, which improves productivity and reduces long meetings. The integrations with tools like Slack and project management platforms also make workflows smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

One downside is that large boards can sometimes become slow, especially when many elements are added. It may also feel overwhelming for new users at first because of the number of available tools and features.

Additionally, some advanced features are limited to higher-tier plans, which may not be ideal for small teams with tight budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Miro makes online meetings creative and processes easily visualizable"
What do you like best about Miro?

I use Miro in joint online meetings to gather ideas or visualize processes. Miro replaces the use of whiteboards or moderation cards in my own meetings. These previous applications can be adopted 1:1, and they offer the additional advantage that adjustments and redesigns have become much easier than they used to be on whiteboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

I can't say that I don't like anything at all. The only thing might be that I don't know all the features yet: I want to have an "infinite stack" of cards during brainstorming that anyone can draw from, without me having to copy cards repeatedly in between. "Miro Brings Cross-Functional Teams Together with Clear, Actionable Workflows"
What do you like best about Miro?

What I like best about Miro is how it brings cross-functional teams together in one visual space. As a partnership manager, I rely on it to run effective demos, map client requirements, and collaborate on feature revamps with both internal teams and partners. It helps me turn complex discussions into clear, actionable workflows, which speeds up alignment and decision making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

What I dislike about Miro is that, over time, large boards can become cluttered and feel heavy, which can affect performance and make it harder to quickly find what’s relevant especially when I’m managing multiple clients and regions. It also takes some detailed review for less tech savvy stakeholders, and that can slow down collaboration at the beginning. As we need to explain how things work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile and Easy to Use, But Collaboration Licensing Hurdles"
What do you like best about Miro?

I really appreciate Miro's versatility; you can almost do anything in it. It's like a whiteboard on steroids, yet it's more than that. I find its ease of use great because nothing takes too long to work out, and it's made clear to me if something can't be done, and offers similar options. For example, while I can't drop a Microsoft PowerPoint file onto a board, I can drop a PDF and other MS apps, and it shows me what will work. The initial setup was super easy as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

The thing I like the least is when I wish to collaborate for one meeting with a group of people who don't have licenses - their ability to interact with me seems limited. Miro doesn't acknowledge existing licenses from other instances either, so I have to pay for another license to allow someone to collaborate fully on my shared board. "Miro Makes Process Mapping and Team Alignment Fast, Visual, and Collaborative"
What do you like best about Miro?

In my work, we often discuss processes, training flows, and operational issues across multiple teams, and explaining things only through calls or documents gets messy. With Miro, I can map workflows, create step-by-step process boards, and visually break down system flows in a way everyone understands quickly.

I especially like the flexibility of the canvas, we can start with rough brainstorming and then gradually organize it into proper diagrams, swimlanes, or structured boards without switching tools. The real-time collaboration is also a big plus; multiple stakeholders can contribute at the same time, which speeds up alignment and reduces back-and-forth emails.

Another thing I appreciate is the templates. They save a lot of time when creating training structures, planning sessions, or process discussions. Instead of starting from scratch, we can focus on the content and decision-making.

Overall, Miro helps convert discussions into something visual, actionable, and easy to revisit later, which improves clarity and execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

One challenge with Miro is that boards can become cluttered very quickly, especially when many people are collaborating at the same time. Without strong structure or moderation, it’s easy for content to get scattered across the canvas, which makes it harder to revisit later. For large projects, we sometimes need extra time just to reorganize the board so it stays usable.

Another downside is performance on heavy boards. When a board has lots of diagrams, images, and sticky notes, it can start lagging, especially on slower internet connections or older systems. This can affect smooth collaboration during live sessions.

There’s also a bit of a learning curve for new users. While the tool is powerful, first-time users can feel overwhelmed by the number of features and options. Some teammates need initial guidance before they feel comfortable navigating boards confidently.

Lastly, exporting or converting boards into more formal documentation formats isn’t always as seamless as expected. We sometimes need to manually recreate structured outputs (like formal process docs or presentations) outside Miro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
