What do you like best about Miro?

As a UX designer who does design and research, I find that Miro is really amazing in helping me in my work – be it creating moodboards, organising information, creating user flow diagrams, planning timelines, taking notes in user research sessions or doing research synthesis. It's super intuitive to use. I love the many templates available, be it created by Miro or by the community. Miro is innovative and keeps launching new features too, such as the Timeline feature, Tshirt sizing, voting, reactions and more. I can't wait to see more features! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

The Miro AI photo generation tool can be improved.. It was quite glitchy to be honest, it's not on par with Midjourney, Leonardo AI or other AI image generation tools out there. This would be useful because I tend to create personas in Miro and being able to do everything in one place would be more convenient for me. Also, maybe Figma and Miro can have a two-way sync. so when I update a frame on Figma, the frames I copy and pasted onto Figma can also be updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collaborating with others easily. Having shared visual references and a place where everyone is able to add on their thoughts and/or vote easily benefits me because it ensures people can easily contribute and be on the same page, feel more engaged etc. – and makes life as a facilitator easier. Miro helps me consolidate my "brain dump" as well, allowing me to make sense of things and feel less overwhelmed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

I use Miro with an org team of 40+ people and I'd say we get a lot of value out of it. It is our default diagramming tool, for which its openness and shareability knock Office/Sharepoint apps out of the park. I haven't used many other whiteboard tools (e.g. FigJam) but I'd say that the focus on whiteboard features helps to keep Miro sleek and not overburdened with design choices. It's a refined experience. It's easy for a lot of users to collaborate; we use it for jam sessions with 20+ participants. I have also led presentations and videos driven from Miro and found that to be a good experience. The keyboard shortcuts are very good once you learn them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Other users in my team tend to experience a learning curve and their muscle memory from other illustration/whiteboarding apps doesn't carry over. Text sizing is a bit of an unsolved problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Synchronous and Async collaboration and communication; getting tech and BA teams on the same page about goals, approach, challenges, technical solutions, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

I really liked the opportunity for each person on our team to have their own colored sticky note. I like the variety (though I would ask for more color options even) of colors to use. I like being able to grab and move groups. And, I just started using different template options. But, most significant is the ability for our team to be on the board at separate and multiple times and also working together to move items around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Sometimes I got lost in the connecting arrows but I figured it out after a bit. I would also ask you to allow for text orientation on the arrow with text in it. If I point the arrow from left to right, the orientation is correct but when flipped, I couldn't figure out how to turn the text so that it wasn't upside down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mind mapping/dumping. Grouping ideas and the working out of those ideas. I really like being able to enlarge the space as we grow the idea. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

I am Product Manager, and today I manage more than 8 projects in the same time. The main value for me, is that I can see every update and concepts in the same page.

- I use a lot of sticky notes to track fast thinking, and connect them with arrows.

- I use cards, kanban and timeline to communicate stakeholders and manage tasks.

- I like to user every kind of forms to show ideas and wireframes.

- I update my boards every day, and encorouge every team member to create and update boards.

- Mindmaps also help me to structure ideas and transform simple thoughts into actions.

- I use doccuments to track important changes to report my leaders.

- Oftenly I use boards to direct internal and external dynamics.

The way Miro helps me visualizing everything linked, makes me feel really confortable.

I never needed support since day one. The software is easy to start and share. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

The only think that block me is the feature table. The feature is pretty nice for simple listing, but there is no formula into it. If there is a way to import Google Sheets, in a way that users can calculate things, it would be the perfect productivity tool. Notion is a pretty good app that can make it, but the sense of freedom in Miro is way bigger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

Helps our teams and clients collaborate - especially with most people working from home still, and others in offices around the country.

As a habitual whiteboard user for hashing out ideas and diagramming to analyse and design solutions, Miro boards are invaluable to how we work now.

The templates are widely used in our organisation, and I've found that throwing together diagrams like flowcharts are as usable and intuitive in Miro as in dedicated diagramming software, with the benefit of having the diagram stored in the same place as all the other collaboration artifacts, on the one project board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Hard to think of any. Only occasional usability things, like copy-pasting a table into Excel only seems to work by saving as csv first. That's a minor issue though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

The remote collaboration side is obvious, but another big issue we used to struggle with in teamwork was multiple people storing notes, wireframes, diagrams, requirements lists, brainstorming sticky notes etc in a haphazard way.

Using a single Miro board for the project / initiative allows it all to be captured in the one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

Simplicity - it's very easy to get up and running immediately, the interface is simple and intuitive enough to hit the ground running

Versatility - you can use it for nearly anything - presentations, virtual meetings, brainstorm sessions, marketing. It can be an easily navigable repository for project information. If you can imagine how something can be visually represented, Mira can do it

Collaboration - you have control of how collaborative your boards are. Full inclusion of others, view only, no access - you decide and you control it.

I use it daily, often one of the first apps I open each day, as it contains all my thoughts, notes, plans for my projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Occasionally if I get overzealous when navigating, the "select and drag" tool doesn't let go of the board, and I end up jumping to another section of the board. This is probably 99% my own error. If I release the mouse button before the mouse goes off screen, it doesn't happen. Like I said - it's when I'm overzealous navigating to another section of the board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

My primary benefit for it has been my ability to use Miro to clearly and simply represent the various aspects of projects.

I use it heavily for team problem solving, as well as for process optimization. I have used it to clarify key features of our products which facilitates clarity andease of use for my downstream internal customers.

I have also used it to highlight process risks and mitigation of those risks (FMEA) in a way that allows a complex process and system to be grasped in a simple manner Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

I love Miro because it is extremely versatile and you can make whatever you want out of it. I can use the same Miro board to plan our roadmaps, define projects, and present progress to stakeholders. We even share the same boards among multiple teams, so it is a great place to keep all the work updated.

It has features for simple users who are only creating a diagram and heavy users planning their whole sprints in there, so as a team, we really enjoy working with it.

My favourite part is that you can make the boards as big or as small as you need to, giving you practically infinite space to work it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Miro doesn't work too well when you have bad connectivity. I had network issues every couple of minutes for some months and my work would be constantly lost and I had to redo everything I did in the last 10 seconds or so. It was very annoying.

The Undo function doesn't work very well either and many times it undoes multiple things instead of only the last one.

Multiple other small details could be polished, but I understand that having SO many features, it is difficult to make them all work perfectly together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem I solve with Miro is handling our roadmap as a big Product team. This keeps us synced and it great to see how the whole area is progressing, both for the managers and for the area directors. Also, these same boards are used to sync with stakeholders, allowing me to keep a single place updated.

Miro also helps me solve the initial stages of the product lyfecilye, we brainstorm, work on definitions, do initial mock-ups with the UX team, diagram the technical processes etc, until we're ready to write user stories and send them to the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

Miro is an excellent platform for remote teams, enabling seamless collaboration with an intuitive and highly interactive interface. It’s constantly evolving, with frequent updates that introduce new features, keeping the experience fresh and innovative. The vast collection of templates and the Miroverse community add tremendous value, offering inspiration and best practices from other users. This makes working on Miro not just productive but also engaging and enriching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

The AI-powered features still have room for improvement, as they don’t always analyze information with great accuracy. Additionally, the menu navigation could be more intuitive—it became a bit confusing after some recent updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro has become a go-to tool for my team, especially for remote collaboration. We use it for product design, brainstorming sessions with our sales team, and as a workspace for workshops and training sessions with clients. It also helps make meetings and work sessions more engaging and interactive. Having a shared visual space where everyone can contribute in real time has made communication and idea development much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

Hmm lets start from there... me and other students from my univesity were looking for an app where we can teach together and prepare to an exam session. We found other apps but they were behind a paywall and after couple of minutes we were kicked out from it but miro wasn't. Its also not that complicated it allows us to copy and instantly paste and screenshot or other file also we can paste a link to youtube video and many people were allowed to solve the same task in the same moment and that works without a visible delay. Also its easy to join u need only link to the whiteboard and u can start working. Personaly i was using it very heavily in my exam sessionand it was completely trouble-free I didn't have much to do with customer service so i can't say much on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Hmm probalby mobile app becouse sometimes u can't freely move on whiteboard i don't know if it's my phone problem or Miro (i used iphone 15). And i think thats all i didnt see more dislikes at this moment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

He helpes me with teaching it solve a problem with my univesity were i started learning 1 week before exams XD Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Miro?

- Real-time Collaboration: Working with colleagues on a shared board feels seamless, whether we're planning sprints, brainstorming ideas, or mapping workflows.

- Intuitive UI: The drag-and-drop functionality, sticky notes, and templates make it easy to structure our planning sessions.

- Integration with Development Tools: I'm usually syncing with Jira, makes the transition from planning to execution smooth.

- Flexible and Scalable: It works well for both small teams and large-scale software projects.

- Easy to implementation: Since it's a web based application, i don't need to install additional software, just open it in browser and do anything with it.

- Frequency of Use: Usually i use it before start sprint on the development phase, i use it for breaking down big task into smaller piece, so i can work on my sprint smoothly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

- Performance Issues on Large Boards: When working with complex sprint breakdowns, the board can get sluggish.

- Limited Free Plan: While the free version is great for small projects, advanced features require a paid plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm as a team member of development team, can collaborate easily when working with small to large of teams, because of the flexibility about creating board without any additioinal software on my computer. Also, since it's web based application, and every integration are autosaving to the cloud, i dont need to worry if i lost connection or my computer is trouble accidentally because it will auto save on our last work immediately. What do you like best about Miro?

What I love most about Miro is the way it helps my teams plan and collaborate visually, in real-time. It allows everyone to grasp the bigger picture of what we're trying to achieve and provides a simple way for everyone to contribute. It’s truly a game-changer for remote work and even beats traditional white boards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Boards can sometimes become overwhelming with excessive details and descriptions. It would be great to have the option to add collapsible descriptions to more shape types, rather than relying on comments that may get overlooked or the card shape type.

Additionally, I’d love to see more professional sticker options available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro solves the challenge of remote collaboration by providing a platform for teams to plan and work together visually, in real-time. It helps everyone understand the overall vision and goals, while making it easy for all team members to contribute. This approach has significantly enhanced our ability to collaborate effectively from a distance, making remote work much smoother and more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
