**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

i liked the payment integration , being able to save client payment information , cc etc. 


**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

there were too many glitches for me as a solo practitioner. I had reoccurring client invoices/payments for membership clients that weren't going through. some of the calendar integration was problematic for me. hold times were long on the phone w customer service. when they raised rates it was time for me to leave.

**Recommendations to others considering Mindbody:**

I think Mindbody is great for larger companies but not suited for solo practitioners.

payment integration allows for easy checkout process. good rates on cc processing.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

The basic reports that can be pulled are pretty useful for a beginner.  We have several users within one company, which also makes it easy to share information between those working different shifts.  

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

There are various times in the week where I receive a notification that the system is having issues and to check back.  Customer service was mediocre, but they did resolve the problem. 

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having better access to our customer base has been exceptional, We are able to connect with them more regularly with the various components available.  I have easily been able to customize exactly what I need from the reports section, which saves me a ton of time.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

It's easy to use and find everything that I need for payroll, gaining sales, and registering sales. 

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Setting up availability for staff and then adding appointments can be frustrating. I wish there was a more consolidated method.

I'm using MINDBODY to help reach out to old clients and check in on  the retention of newer clients. It's a great way to help me keep track of who is coming in and out of the program.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

How easy it is to manage something, you can easily figure out how to do something by either playing with the software or using the help tab that is easy to follow. The fact that i can easily teach myself how to do something by just watching a video. I also like that this software is specialized for the area of work i am in. Its easy to customize and add monthly changes that our spa uses. 

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

I dislike that it doesnt cateogorize the different appointments with colors. I also dislike how many software update pop ups i recieve daily. Its a pain in the butt but its also good to see that booker is working to fix the issues they have. I dont like how long i have to wait on the phone to speak to a booker consultant. wish they were more easy to speak to than waiting on the phone for about half an hour. But other than having a booker problem once, havent had any others. thanks

it is extremely easy to use. I have also used genbook and this is by far better to use than genbook

solving easy communication between patients and us. With our business we are spread out from california to colorado and it is so easy to just speak on the phone and work through booker. Same with learning through the phone with our office manager.

some limitations on customization. there is the ability to customize things that arent really important in the overall use of the product and then there are limitations on functions that would really enhance the overall use of the product

The employees at Mindbody are super helpful when you reach out to them. Even if they don't know something, they are patient and try to figure it out for you. I appreciate the great customer service.

They keep changing the website and in not the best ways. It used to be a lot more user friendly and now the website has its glitches.

Mindbody has made managing my teachers so easy. It allows me to set up automatic features that let me spend more time doing other things.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

I love the ease in which I can book, see the entire staff's schedule for the day OR view just my full schedule day by day or week by week.  Along with booking and scheduling, I can view my payroll report, my availability, client's info, etc.  There are really so many useful functions and it's an entire business's backbone.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

I dislike how hard it is to modify a scheduled time.  First you have to change the time block availabilty and THEN you can adjust the session's time.  It would be easier if you could just do this in one step.
I also dislike that as I teach at two studios and have employee access AND client access I can't be signed in to more than one account at a time or combine any of them.  I'm constantly logging in and out of accounts and it's time consuming.

Additionally, when a person is subbing a class it isn't always showing in the normal staff view.  You have to look at that individual's schedule to see.

**Recommendations to others considering Mindbody:**

I would say make sure that this has what you need, but it IS very inclusive.  Utilize the app as well - Mindbody Express for employees and MindBody for clients.

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The entire issue of scheduling and maintaining that schedule for employees AND clients.  Benefits are such that clients and staff are able to book and change things virtually anywhere.

It is easy to use, most of the tasks are pretty straightforward. Easy for client to use for booking and buying classes.

Can be really slow since each page has to load anytime you click anything. Seems like there could be a faster way, especially when trying to dig into a client's account details.

Keeps track of class packages without having to flip through a rolodex or file. Easy for clients to use. Mobile sign in to use time doing other tasks.

many spas carry it, and so one will encounter it at a variety of spas. It has online functionality so one can use it from any location, so long as that functionality has been purchased.

many functions require too many steps, i.e. overly complicated and unintuitive

while it offers a wide variety of functionality, the system often seemed overly complicated. Also the more advanced functionality is quite costly.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

It's really easy to navigate and use. I love getting text message notification of a booked appointment so I don't have to be glued to my emails. The majority of my clients use  online booking which they find very easy to use as well. The confirmation and reminder emails help save me time and ensure that people show up - I almost never have no shows. Their support staff are wonderful if I have questions they get back to me promptly, they also have a very good help section that answers a lot of questions. The app is also great, I love being able to book someone in on the spot and being able to use a tablet at work instead of having a computer. The reports that are generated make bookkeeping a whole lot easier too! 

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

I honestly can't think of anything that I genuinely dislike. 

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I basically get a whole receptionist out of using booker. I am a self employed healer, and don't have the space for someone to come in and do all the administrative things that need to be done, booker fills that space.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

I like all of the features it offers and how versatile it is! The features can be changed according to the kind of employee, it can be customized easily, and keeps appointments very organized.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Booker has been slow for phases and has previously shut down the software in the middle of the day when it is needed  by businesses who depend on it to function.

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting refunds for clients who had technical issues do to problems with Booker's software heist. There have been less issues since they worked on it.

I like the different coloring for appointments, it's easy to check guests out of their services. I think we may make things more complicated then they have to be..

I feel that MindBody is very touchy. It's one of the more frustrating programs to use until you get used to it.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

I like that they take care of some of the busy work - they contact customers via email and text and ask for feedback regarding their service, if the feedback was excellent they ask the customer if they would leave a review on one of the major review sites like Yelp, Facebook, or Google.  Also, they send out automated emailings to customers offering them discounts to entice them to book our services.  There is a great deal of customization offered in terms of price, frequency, whether we want to offer service packages,   They also include a web page that was very quickly ranked highly in google searches for our business.  

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Their tiered pricing system is a little strange to me - the first 500 customers is $50 a month, and for every 500 people you add the price goes up $50.  We're a small business and when the time comes we will take a hard look at whether this service is worth keeping on when the price takes a jump again. 

**Recommendations to others considering Mindbody:**

If you like soliciting feedback and sending out email marketing and offering last minute deals to entice customers into buying services then this isn't for you.  If you would rather let somebody else do that dirty work then might be for you.

It is an automated way to get feedback from customers while not being intrusive and offering to unsubscribe from emails and texts.  Also we have gained sales by offering last minute discounts through emails and texts.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

Mindbody is pretty easy to use.  I am new to the software and have been to learn how to navigate around, mostly bymyself.  If integrates well with my online Zcubator software, too, which is very helpful.  It is very automated, and I have very few problems with it.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

I had one problem that i submitted that took a while to fix.  It was very small, though, and not a huge deal.  Just a glitch.  I am sure they had other important things working.

I am able to reach out to large numbers of my clients at one time.  Everything is right where I want it.  I can run reports that I didn't even know I wanted!

Our clients found the online booking option to be easy, and we have attracted many new clients from offering this feature. Customer service is also helpful and usually responds quickly. 

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Making changes to billing information is difficult. If an error was made when checking a client out, it takes many time-consuming steps to correct the issue. Printing receipts often takes a while, however, a recent update has improved

**Recommendations to others considering Mindbody:**

The online forum is not helpful as many of the comments are related to old versions of the program. It is usually easiest to use the live chate feature - there may be a wait in the queue but the staff is helpful.

When/If anything goes wrong, their call center is amazingly helpful & they take our requests for new or different features in stride & some of them actually come into being!

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

That when they make massive changes to the system that affects out clients -- they do not tell us or our clients about it. It just happens & we have to deal with the reprecussions

Call support. Always. They know what to do  & they know how to help

This is a full service client. It does everything that a fitness studio needs.

Very user friendly, intuitive interface. I can find and use everything I need very easily, and customer service is always available to assist if needed.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Sometimes a bit too much information. It can be overwhelming for me since I don't sell retail. 

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sales reports, payment options, appointment scheduling. It's very versatile in that we can use it to schedule a variety of appointment types, sort by staff member, and change percentage payment.

Mindbody is wonderfully robust and accommodating of our complex offerings of classes, appointments, and enrollments. Intuitive interface, excellent documentation and tutorials, and wide-range of features. Web interface with Healcode is a major step forward.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Support is tepid. Calls are limited to 45 minute sessions for training, and no direct account manager if you have service needs.

Worth the investment

We have a vast array of services, and the convenience of having all revenue streams flowing through the same portal is fantastic.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

I have used this software for many of my clients and configured it greatly for them. I love how much work they have put in to it, and how detailed it can be. You can use it for any type of booking business seamlessly if you can figure it out. I love their customer service as well, they are just a phone call away and will help you with any issue or question!

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Its hard to use for someone who is not technologically apt. I design websites for a living, and I had to really sit through hours on end and discover features and configure them. It's definitely not intuitive, but I guess its because they kept adding features to a structure without revamping the whole system. It's okay, but if you are paying for the premium features, just make sure you are utilizing everything. Some of clients pay for it, and use the basic features only. I also don't like that they work with constant contact only. There should be an integration with mailchimp directly in the system without having to subscribe to Heal code. I also don't like that there is no multilingual support. I am in quebec and thats important here. We sometimes put the class/product descriptions in both languages and it just looks cluttered, but we have to do it.

Client registration, client followup, invoicing and the billing system. It also allows a great way to link from your website to the system.

The ability to easily view upcoming clients for a given day, any information about each client such as injury history etc.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

Booker had the features I needed to make my small business operate more efficiently. We have multiple employees providing different services at different locations. We can easily process a new client and assign them to any of these with ease and flexibility. The clients can receive automated email or text confirmations and reminders, and the employee receives an automated text informing them about the new appointment. The payment process is also synced with Booker's scheduling platform. We easily accept a payment via credit card at the end of an appointment and schedule the next one. A receipt can be emailed. Everything is seamless and has saved us a lot of time. Clients can see our professionalism and the employees appreciate how simple it all is as well. I can also view financial reports, set up payroll, and so much more. There are countless features.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

The only downside I've experienced so far is a limitation in setting up the fee for my cancellation policy. I don't have a one-size fits all policy, but the Booker system required either a set fee or one equation...and I wanted to custom make a cancellation fee that utilized both a set fee and an equation.

See my notes above. Booker allowed us to sync many features that we used to do separately. Our new process saves everyone time and adds to our professionalism.

I love the functionality of the website and the Connect, Express, and Check-in apps. Connect makes it very easy for our clients to reserve classes, and I can use the Express app if the Wifi goes down, or if I'm not close to a computer. Check-in saves on paper!

I wish the Check-in app could show more than what's coming up within the next two hours. Sometimes clients want to take a more detailed look at the class schedule.

**What do you like best about Mindbody?**

It's a very powerful platform for scheduling, classes, account and user profile management. Pretty much does everything! Our business would be a lot harder without it. We can run reports to see which classes are doing well and which ones are failing, see our attendance averages, membership and class pass usage reports, etc. It makes not only running our daily schedule easy and streamlined, but also our ability suss out which classes our students like to take and offer more of them. As well as keeping student records and profiles all ing the same place, which all makes it an invaluable tool for our business!

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Some features are a little complicated to use, but they're always working on improving the user friendliness. I wish it was easier to see all scheduled classes, appointments, workshops, etc. in one place, like on the app. There are some glitches in the system, such as the fact that membership discounts that are supposed to apply on the purchase screen automatically never have. And prerequisites don't always automatically update, so we often have to adjust them manually.

They're very responsive to user feedback. They work hard on implementing features that their customers request for making their businesses run more smoothly.

The big thing for us was memberships.  Sugar Me Wax  - www.sugarmewax.com   offers monthly memberships and Booker was one of the few systems that offered a robust membership program.

The mobile app is quite good and easy to use. Both MindBody Express and MindBody Connect are very nice. The analytics provided are good, but not great. Very good customer support in general, particularly using the live chat.

Exporting data to finance software like Quickbooks is a pain. The menu structure for finding options is very complex, when looking for an option it is often buried in one of dozens of sub-menus and is rarely obvious

Mind body speaks our language.  I own a Pilates Studio and over the years Pilates studios haven't been as widely known as things like gyms, yoga studios, etc.  I know that Mindbody can be used by so many different types of businesses but it feels like it's just for Pilates- that is how customizable it is.  
I think their pricing is great.  I like how they keep developing their product.  I spend the majority of my days in the Mindbody software and love it.  I occasionally get stuck, or don't know how to do something.  Mindbody has great online support and great telephone support.  

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

Sometimes I feel like they release new features too quickly because there are a lot of bumps along the way.  But they get sorted out and I look at it as they are excited to share.  I can get behind that.  
I also feel like they need to streamline their apps.  I think they have too many different apps that do too many different things.

Selling products online.  Mindbody makes it easy.  Client retention.  Mindbody has tools and tons of reports so I can keep a close eye on what is going on.

They have good online training videos that my staff can use to get started with the program.

**What do you dislike about Mindbody?**

The software about 2 years ago was great, but updates and stability issues now plague it and the customer service support is rude and condescending.  I asked for a feature (to not allow for future appointments on the scheduler to be paid out) to be turned off,  and I was told that this is a common practice wishing salon businesses, it could not be done and that I needed to train my staff better.  By the way, if this does happen you cannot take the paid appointment off the schedule, even if the client cancels or need to move the appointment.  A ridiculous feature that no business would want an appointment in the future to be set in stone so that you cannot book some else it its place in case of cancellation!  They have know idea how a salon/spa is run and are NOT open to any suggestions or changes that are real world business needs.  Lastly the reporting is terrible, if you track prebooks, then recurring appointments are not accounted for in the system.  If you track client retention rates you have to pull 3 different reports and you can't print them because they are in a "dashboard".  If you pull retention from another report the numbers are totally different then the dashboard.   The daily close out reports have columns that changed based the number that populates the report, for instance, one day the report columns read service sales, retail sales, tips... the next day it will read tips, retail sales, services sales.  They sort the columns based on amount.

Don't do it and I hear mind body is just the same.

**What problems is Mindbody solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used a lot of softwares, and been in the business 20 years, i recommend you try another software, not mind/body (they are exactly the same) with the same issues.  SAM or Salon Account Manager was pretty good and I hear STX is good, but they do not transfer in old Gift Cards so that was a no go for us.  If you can afford or want a more robust program try Korvue.

Mindbody has great tiers of service and options. No matter how big or small your business, they have plans that will work with your budget and help to build your business. Their customer service is top notch.

Nothing I really dislike. I would like to see more abilities to control/cancel classes thru a mobile app. The current mobile app they have is good, but can be better. On that note, they are constantly updating it and I'm sure its just a matter of time before it's available.

Do it. Doing contracts/receipts/waivers online instead of on paper is worth the cost by itself.

Recurring billing. Mobile credit card swiping. Going completely paperless! Almost everything can be done thru email and online. Their email integration and lead generation thru website widgets have help grow my client base.
