This is the software every non-scrum PM tool tries to base themselves off of. It was also the first one I used, so everything else I come across gets compared to project rather than the other way around. What don't I like might be a better question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Microsoft Project & Portfolio Management?
The skills overhead required to fully and effectively utilize the tool. Resource allocation can also be a bit difficult when you have resources that are not 100% project focused whose non-project commitments can vary from week to week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not enough interaction feature, takes a while to perfect and learn to use with ease. Can be user unfriendly for some when starting out especially It can be hard to navigate at times as well. Programs like this just need training and practice though Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's not as user-friendly as I hoped and looks outdated a bit. Say I want to know the full duration of the project. I have to go to a hidden function and details which are not as clear as I'd like. you have to become an advanced user and use it every day to truly have no issues. The best part of MS Project is the ease of use as it fits right with the MS Office suite and therefore is easy for a junior scheduler to pick up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
