One of the most attractive things about any software is how easy its to use. Hubstaff is not an exception, 100% intuitive and the customer service is also really good. The time tracking sheets its amazing for project managers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some bugs and crashes while the time is tracking, the software freezes and stops tracking the time. This doesn't happen often but it should be not happening at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The first thing everyone noticed when we started to use Hubstaff was that most team members were spending long hours on their computers but only effectively working 2-3 hours, which was an eye-opener - why we're all long hours on the computers but not being productive? The team now is more mindful of how they use their time; we get more done in less time, and no one needs to work late nights or extra hours. The best part is that if a team member goes off-track, we can help him to improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because we use Trello, we need to use two tools, Trello + Hubstaff, it would be great if we had everything in one single place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love Hubstaff because it helps me achieve productivity and manage my work time effectively. The timer is completely synced with the actual duration. The dashboard is neat and clean. It helps you track your productivity and the time you spend on which applications. You can also view the timesheets to track your time daily or weekly. The support team is responsive and assists you in resolving any doubts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frankly speaking, I don't have anything as cons here. I didn't face any issues while using the application to date. I have been using it for the past 3 months on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hubstaff help me to be more concious about my work in a good way and at the same time it makes you motivated to be productive at all time. How it has been implemented with the work has been great as it help us to monitor as well the things that we should be doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its dile time, yu forgot it in a shoprt span of time then its your lost. That maybe one thing I don't like about it but that would be the thing that keeps me going to continue working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They manage everything regarding the remote employees, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Support is slow, they reply after 24 hours and the issues don't be solved from the first time, so you need to contact them many times for many days for the same issue, which is horrible and wasting the time.
- The pricing plan not clear, they didn't mention that the price is per user, per organization so if you are a manager or any team member in many organizations you will pay the subscription in all organizations.
- They have some bugs with integration (Trello) some team members can't integrate
- Timesheet for the custom period working for just one week, so I can't export the monthly timesheet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hubstaff offers an intuitive and seamless time-tracking solution that makes managing remote teams incredibly easy. The real-time tracking, automated screenshots, and productivity insights help ensure transparency and efficiency. The detailed reports and payroll automation save a lot of time, making it a must-have for businesses with remote or hybrid teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Hubstaff is an excellent tool, the pricing can be a bit high for small businesses or startups. Additionally, the mobile app could use some improvements in terms of UI/UX for smoother navigation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I enjoy that they have a mobile version, Windows version, and others. But I especially LOVE that they have a Chromebook-specific version to download/install. I was worried there wouldn't be anything for me, but they made a quick and reliable version for my relatively rare operating system.
When opening the application, I love that it automatically logs me in very quickly. Its interface is very simple (Project and Task), with just a "Start timer" button that I push again if I need to pause my shift. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Oftentimes when running Hubstaff, it takes a long time to ask me to share my screen. I'd prefer if it asks me immediately so I can be transparent with my employer. I start work immediately when starting the timer, and so once I'm focused on work, I can miss the notification to share my screen. If that notification came immediately, that wouldn't be an issue, and my employer would see every screenshot of my work.
The Hubstaff website, when logged in, can be overly busy because features are shown that I'm not even able to access per my employer. I'd prefer if ONLY the features I'm able to use are shown, so it's cleaner and simpler. If I need to use other features at some point, I imagine my employer would let me know. Hubstaff is highly user-friendly and straightforward, making time tracking a natural part of my daily routine. The software was simple to install, and the UI is clean and user-friendly.
The permissions process is straightforward, and the app does an excellent job of clarifying what data is being collected, so I am never confused how it works. I really love the notifications when screenshots are captured or the timer is started/stopped. These qualities offer complete transparency, making it easy to trust the system.
Overall, Hubstaff has made time tracking straightforward and efficient—there is no steep learning curve, and it seamlessly integrates into my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The activity level tracking feature (e.g., keyboard and mouse activity) sometimes doesn’t accurately reflect my level of productivity. It can be misleading, especially during tasks like reading or brainstorming, where physical activity is low but cognitive effort is high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hubstaff keeps track of both the time and activity of a remote employee, which is really a challenging job for Organizations who offer work from home jobs. Hubstaff is doing this great job and at a reasonable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes hubstaff malfunctions but it's in rare cases, for maintaining exact work activity for employees, which creates a confusion. All other features are absolutely fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hubstaff is valuable in time checking in and out especially it detects your daily performances, percentage and how much you spend time on every software applications. What I love the most is we are farming Paid Time-Off where we can use it for emergencies, sick leaves or vacations. Thank you for making this app! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me, it's the privacy concerns in part of taking screenshot in every few minutes no matter what you are doing. As per checked, it doesn't give much complexity on the actual activities and tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Hubstaff is the ability to monitor work activity via screenshots & other really cool insights. This is especially important for remote teams like mine. I also like the Payroll functionality and having the ability to pay both my international AND domestic teams via direct deposit for literally a little of nothing. Like I pay roughly $3 total per person. That's pretty darn good compared to other payroll solutions out there. And it's also very customizable as well, so I really like that too. ☺️ Oh by the way, you can recruit directly from Hubstaff as well. It's a win-win all across the board. The only downside that I've experienced is when running into issues with processing automatic weekly payroll for my hourly staff, where the payment processing was somehow delayed or out of sync from the norm. And this was due to updates or bugs in the system that wasn't announced and had to be fixed. Although it was resolved, it has happened a couple of times and was very inconvenient for my team and I. Nonetheless, I've been with Hubstaff for several years now and so it wasn't enough to deter me from continuing to use the system. Hope that makes sense! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
