I like Greenhouse user-friendly interface – is intuitive and easy to use for any type of user (recruiter or hiring manager).
With greenhouse we can tailor hiring stages, scorecards, and approvals making it adaptable to different locations, departments and teams. It's also really easy to collaborate with Greenhouse built in tools, scorecards, notes, reminders etc.
We've been able to integrate greenhouse with a wide range of tools (LinkedIn, Slack, Zoom, Docusign) wich is a big plus.
Finally the communication with candidates is made easy by different tools like automated messaging, self-scheduling options, bulk actions, feedback forms, etc. We've been able to deliver a world class candidate experience using Greenhouse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Greenhouse can feel overwhelming at the beggining. The interface has many features wich might slow the onboarding for new users.
Mobile applications is very limited, there are some tasks that you can only do in the web version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about GH is:
GH helps with Structured Hiring & Workflows that can be customised. I appreciate how it helps standardise the hiring process with templates for auto stage transistions, interview plans, and scorecards.
How GH Intergrates with other software – Connects with various HR systems like Workday, background check services, Linkedin, Talent Wall, Modernloop etc
The automated interview scheudling stages really helps reduces manual effort by integrating with calendars and recruiters can efficently do recruiter phone screens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about GH is:
Limited Flexibility in Reporting – Custom reporting can be restrictive, requiring workarounds to extract specific data or use other tools to help with reporting.
The backend of the system when updating offer templates can be very manual on how you update templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Greenhouse's ability to customize hiring processes and formalize feedback. As a talent professional I appreciate when a software is truly created to help. We transitioned to Greenhouse a few years ago and have not looked back.
Our process is very white glove and we are excited about the badges and trying to earn them. I think this is great if word gets out, as what you do matters just as much as who you do it for. A companies culture starts with how you treat potential employees who transition into full time employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area I would love to see added: more ablity to brand! We communicate with candidates and we want the best, most personalized and branded experience, even in recruiting. Why shouldn't our emails feel like they are actually from us. With our logo and email signatures.
Another would be metrics. The data seems to come out in not so helpful ways and I spend a good chunk of my time trying to analyze data across multiple platforms... Its not easy to set up specific dashboards that execs want to see, managers or even your direct team. I wish more flexibilty in data presentation was possible.
Lastly, I know upgraded scheduling is coming... and we are ready. Biggest issue... calender invite has to be downloaded to your computer to put on your cal... what??? This is so unhelpful and the reason for so many missed interviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Greenhouse has great reporting capabilities. It is pretty user friendly and has good support. Anytime I've needed help with an issue, their support team has been quick to respond and follow up until my issue has been resolved, and I'm often able to use their support articles to find solutions on my own. I also like that the interview scheduling integrates with Google Calendar and Calendly which is a big time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be difficult to get customized reports, so depending on your reporting needs this is an area that has come up as a challenge for my team. Some of the reports I've wanted require a BI connector tool which my company doesn't have resources for, and other features require developer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using Greenhouse since 2018 across five different companies, and each time I joined a new company, I recommended adopting Greenhouse because of its robust functionality. This is one of those tools that I use every day. It serves as an excellent database for storing candidate information, tracking progress through different hiring stages, and re-engaging past candidates when roles reopen.
One of the biggest advantages is its ability to streamline the hiring process—rather than spending weeks searching for new candidates, companies can quickly reach out to strong applicants from previous hiring cycles. This not only benefits recruiters/sourcers but also creates opportunities for candidates who may have not been hired for the role (role either closed or was filled).
I have also been able to intergrate tools like DocuSign, Adobe, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Calendar, and sourcing platforms like Gem and Teamable with GH. The ability to post jobs across multiple platforms (indeed and LinkedIn) with just a simple selection makes the process smooth and efficient. No need to post job ads in each of those platforms.
Lastly, Greenhouse offers great customer support—whenever I’ve had questions, I’ve always found someone readily available to assist. Overall, it’s an intuitive and highly effective tool that makes the recruiting process smoother and more efficient! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One drawback I’ve noticed recently is that Greenhouse does not enable to keep rejected candidates indefinitely. Instead, it automatically removes them after around two years. I’m unsure of the exact reason behind this policy, but it would be helpful to have the option to keep candidate records for a longer period, especially for future hiring needs. Overall, I am very satisfied with atS Greenhouse as a product for our Applicant Tracking System needs. Recent improvements have significantly enhanced its convenience, particularly with the new AI features that have been implemented. These advancements streamline various processes, making it easier to manage our recruitment efforts effectively.
The customer support team has proven to be competent and responsive, addressing our inquiries and issues swiftly. I am also looking forward to the upcoming features that have been promised; it is evident that the team takes customer feedback seriously and is committed to ongoing improvements. This responsiveness to user input is a strong aspect of their service, making Greenhouse a reliable choice for our ATS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In the past, I faced challenges with the tool, primarily due to difficulties in locating features and setting them up. When using Greenhouse after it has been utilized by other team members, conducting an audit becomes necessary, which can be somewhat complicated over time.It is essential to perform these audits with care, as we have experienced instances where they impacted our reporting accuracy. Adding a job can seem time consuming, but there are so many ways to automate the workflow to ensure that daily use is easy and fast. I love the automated stage transitions and the integration with Calendly. I also love that I can integrate Metaview and have my screening call notes automatically generated and added to GH. These automations and tool integrations save me SO much time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is really nothing that I actively dislike. There are a few quirks here and there that I think can be improved, like I keep getting an error message that doesn't actually mean anything, but overall, I do find this to be one of the best ATS out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've used Greenhouse for nearly 6 years almost on a daily basis and the product continues to improve. The workflow easily mimics the logistical operations of TA - making things like resume review, scheduling, and scorecards/feedback efficient. I like the requisition and offer approval features you're able to configure. I like the integrations it has with many industry tools such as gCal, LinkedIn, Checkr, and many MANY more. All of this makes for a centralized ATS for your TA AND crossfunctional stakeholders!
GH support is also one of the best support teams out there. Not just for the industry, but as a company. I've never had an instance where I couldn't find an answer via their support articles, training videos, or live support. The BEST support team I've ever experienced!
I've implemented the GH once and considering I've never done that prior, the support team was quite helpful in launching the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some minor inconsistencies when it comes to the UI. Some features require you to "save" while others do not. I like the autosave feature, but when it comes to having to actively save an entry, sometimes that can be forgotten.
I think sending interview confirmations is great, but sometimes it could be overlooked - inadvertently causing interview "no-shows". If there's a way to make this more automated, it would help reduce/eliminate human error.
There have been times when emails sent to candidates through GH have ended up in the candidate's spam box. Not sure why that is, but seems to happen too often for a common ATS.
Despite these things, with possibly a few others, I still recommend GH as a top ATS! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how simple it is if you use the original view. I really enjoy being able to easily edit the job requirements, questions, etc.
I like being able to export the Excel sheets to get data fast!
Being able to integrate with other websites is amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that if I am viewing all candidates for the job, I have to go to each of their profiles just to see their email, number, and resume. I think if I click down the arrow to schedule something, the number, email, and resume should be listed.
I think you should be able to pre-schedule availability requests, cause sometimes I am working late and I don't want to request an availability at 9:00 pm. I know you can schedule general emails, but I think in the feature to request their schedule for a "Stage", they NEED to add this option.
Also, I think when you are viewing applications, you should be able to make your own tags or add notes. When I see a candidate that I think is great, I don't enjoy that I have to open another page to add a note. I think there is enough dead space on the side of the page to add to the notes section. I think it should be
-Likes Candidate, - Tags Co-Worker, -Passes them to the next stage.
Maybe I can't see it, but I think when you are viewing all candidates, is there a way to filter out candidates from selecting something on a job application? Example: I set a general application for School Teachers and they have to select from the following: Dance, ELA, Math. Can I filter them out in the candidate's section for who selected each option? Right now I am creating my own tags manually and then filtering them out in the candidate's section. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Greenhouse has been an incredible partner over the years to help us have a centralized ATS to house our candidates, but they also have a wealth of knowledge on how to implement specific workflows that work best for your company's needs. Everyone hires a little differently, and the Greenhouse platform allows for different use cases while still maintaining the platform's integrity. They are constantly looking at new ways to level up their software and product offerings, which is fantastic to see, and they even take into consideration customer product requests, some of which I have sent in and seen them implement. The customer support managers and account managers are a great resource to help your team strategize, create goals, and achieve those goals. Lastly, the integrations they have with other platforms for scheduling, HRIS systems, onboarding software, and more has been so helpful since we use many different tools. It allows for simple API connections, and they are always evaluating and adding more. Greenhouse is a definite top-tier ATS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Greenhouse is definitely one of the more expensive ATSs on the market, and for a good reason, with so much to offer and it does help that they have different tier levels that you choose from. However it seems that many of the new features that are released are only available to the highest tier, so while new features are great they are not accessible to everyone. That is not the case with every new release, but in my experience most of them. Other than that, there isn't too much else I can honestly say I dislike about the software, so I call that a win.
