As a seasoned systems administrator, I've had the pleasure of implementing Files.com at two distinct organizations, and I can say that it has revolutionized the way we manage our file-sharing needs. The flexibility to integrate Files.com with other cloud storage solutions and automate file transfers across our entire organization is nothing short of remarkable.

Initially, our goal was to create a simple web portal for customers to upload files. However, as we dove deeper into the capabilities of Files.com, we discovered a powerhouse of a solution that far exceeded our expectations. The desktop application, CLI/SDK tooling, and integrations available with Files.com have allowed us to deliver unparalleled file-sharing experiences to our users.

One of the most significant advantages of Files.com is its versatility. I wish there was more attention spent on branding and customization. This doesn't really bother me as a systems admin, but the graphics and marketing teams would love to be able to do more with the landing page for the customer facing portal. I love the SFTP transfer setup—it’s perfect for automating reports and sending them to clients without too much hassle. The guest access feature is super handy, too, since it lets me securely share files without hassle. It’s great for keeping things efficient and secure. Finding specific files can be a pain without sorting options by name, type, or date. It’d be awesome if they could add some flexibility here. Not having a sorting option slows things down when you’re trying to track down a specific file, so that could definitely be improved. What I like the most is that anytime I need help (from when I first set up my account to a need to make system changes), I can easily set up a time with one of Files.com tech support. Sometimes their billing is annoying. Every entrepreneur has cash flow issues from time to time. If I get to the end of the month and then owe two months worth, I then have to pay both months before my account switches back on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

How easy it is to use. We are able to upload batches of files, generate a share link, and generate a unique password in order for our co-counsel to access files. Additionally, we can easily set the permission levels and other features - such as - having the link to those 'shared files' expire 7 days after we send the link to them. (Which is optional! Sometimes you need that, sometimes you don't want the link to expire.)

One of the best things about Files.com is the continous improvement and adding of new userful features. A recent feature that has been added is the ability to switch between Production, Development, and Test test environments from an icon link at the top of the page--a simple, but very useful improvment.

As we build integrations, to other systems, we have not a had a limitation on the files.com side. Every time we have been able to do exactly what we've needed... all the protocols were available. After years of searching for a file distribution solution, or trying to invent our own, this solved all of our problems. The ability to distribute and sync files across many platforms has been the keystone to our operation. However someone wants to get a file, there is an easy way for them to get it. Secure, easy to use and very reliable. Platform is has a simple web interface for users. You can setup file sharing with just a few mouse clicks. Our company uses this daily across mutliple departments, the only tickets I get for files.com is for access to use it. We found Files.com when we were asked by a couple clients to be able to pick-up files from us via FTP. We had been using FTP with our ERP (Sage X3) for years to connect to external systems, but never had the need to provide file sharing from our side. Within a couple days of contacting, we had our account and services provisioned and our client was picking up daily files by the end of the same week.

The CLI for Files.com has totally streamlined the process for sending/receiving files from our ERP to customers and a variety of connected systems (CRM, E-Commerce, Credit Card Processing, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We were able to complete on-boarding and get our migration under way to Files.com with amazing support provided 100% of the way.

Files.com assigned us a very knowledgeable architect that made the entire process of on-boarding as easy as could be.

The attention, detail, and support through this our on-boarding process has been truly amazing. I really appreciated the help received for a truly smooth process as we transitioned to Files.com.

I would like to thank the engineer/engineers who implemented a new feature request for us and everyone else that was involved in making the very much needed functionality, a reality.
