As a non-IT user of Files.com, I have found it to be easy and reliable. We primarily use it for automated SFTP file transfers. I have been able to set up automations for pushing and pulling files, with a level of customization that has allowed us to circumvent issues presented by some of our trading partners. I have not needed assistance from customer support, as the functionality that I require was possible without it. One of our IT admins needed customer support regarding getting dedicated IP addresses for whitelisting purposes, and that was resolved within two days. While I wouldn't necessarily consider it a strike against Files.com, the greatest barrier I experience is my own ignorance. There are options available that I simply don't understand, or perhaps they aren't applicable to my situation. Within the uses that I do understand, the functionality has been straightforward. It would be extremely difficult to provide this level of functionality with modern, enterprise level, security features. I wish there was more attention spent on branding and customization. This doesn't really bother me as a systems admin, but the graphics and marketing teams would love to be able to do more with the landing page for the customer facing portal. Finding specific files can be a pain without sorting options by name, type, or date. It’d be awesome if they could add some flexibility here. Not having a sorting option slows things down when you’re trying to track down a specific file, so that could definitely be improved. What I like the most is that anytime I need help (from when I first set up my account to a need to make system changes), I can easily set up a time with one of Files.com tech support. How easy it is to use. We are able to upload batches of files, generate a share link, and generate a unique password in order for our co-counsel to access files. Additionally, we can easily set the permission levels and other features - such as - having the link to those 'shared files' expire 7 days after we send the link to them. (Which is optional! Sometimes you need that, sometimes you don't want the link to expire.)

Missing feature, dark mode for the entire interface not just the shortcuts/hamburger menu, is much more pleasant for your eyes, and gives the interface a sophisticated and modern feel, in line with edge browser and many other apps and OS's these days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best things about Files.com is the continous improvement and adding of new userful features. A recent feature that has been added is the ability to switch between Production, Development, and Test test environments from an icon link at the top of the page--a simple, but very useful improvment.
As we build integrations, to other systems, we have not a had a limitation on the files.com side. Every time we have been able to do exactly what we've needed... all the protocols were available.
