What I like about MoveIT Automation is its versatility and its simplicity. Whether you're managing file transfers between servers, synchronising data between systems, or scheduling routine tasks, this platform provides a flexible and customizable solution. Its drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to create and modify workflows, allowing me to tailor automation processes to my needs without extensive programming knowledge. The web user interface is easy to navigate and provides a very gentle learning curve for new users. The supporting documentation is generally excellent, and the community seem very responsive. We use the MOVEit extensively on our own servers and to connect to third parties. Performance is very rarely an issue. There have been a number of security scares over the years. Sometimes more complicated file transfer processes are difficult to create due to slightly odd choices about what can and can't be done with "macros". Connections with some host types have limited options, not always making it easy to secure the connections in the way we'd prefer. I'm also not a fan of using commas rather than semi-colons to separate email addresses. With continued usage, what I’ve come to appreciate most about Progress MOVEit is its reliability—once workflows are set, things run smoothly without constant monitoring.

Past incidents involved failures when connecting to SharePoint due to authentication and certificate changes, requiring manual intervention and causing workflow delays - so there are some issues with file sharing due to Sharepoint integration.

I use Progress MOVEit primarily for storing and sharing files efficiently. I truly appreciate the solution's strong focus on compliance and security, which were major concerns for us. I dislike that Progress MOVEit does not support installation on Linux, as this would have been beneficial for my setup that involves internal Linux servers. Additionally, it is inconvenient that different operating systems are required for Progress MOVEit Transfer and Automation.
