What I love about Dotdigital is its simplicity and ease of use. The block-building email creator makes designing emails straightforward, while the automation tool manages to be both powerful and user-friendly. The reporting features are flexible and accessible, adapting easily to different needs. And whenever I need help, their customer support team is always available. I really liked the whole process of onboarding and how the DotDigital Academy also helped us in learning the interface and how we can use the platform to our advantage. DotDigital integrates surveys & forms with emails, and allows users to create comprehensive journeys between them. So no more marketing monkeys (MailChimp or Survey Monkey) but one seamless platform, that is also collecting contacts from Whatsapp, website and Facebook leads.
Considering how hard it's working, it's cost-effective. Every lead receives a personalised welcome email and subsequent relevant emails to keep them engaged. We can monitor engagement and tweak the emails accordingly.
We also build all our customer and staff surveys in DotDigital, and sign-up webpages for webinars (which emails reminders and links). Our sales team can trigger standard personalised emails following calls, with automated follow-up satisfaction surveys.
We're only using some of the many features, but I'm playing with DotDigital every week, finding something new it can support us with. I absolutely love it, can't live without it, and brought it with me when I changed company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting side needs some work, I would love to be able to customise reports for email campaigns and surveys.
The forms don't have if/then options, so no ability to ask further questions based on answers. I would also love to be able to email the notifications to different stakeholders based on a department selection - this would prevent having to set up one survey for each department and all the data could be analysed together.

Love using Dotdigital for sending marketing emails, the dashboard is very easy to use and has a great amount of functions to use covering all angles when it comes to data collection, RSVP's and any kind of data. I'm a frequent user of Dotdigital for both B2B & B2B sectors and find the process from start to finish when sending a campaign very easy. Segments are a great feature to Dotdigital and I would say I use them more than anything else, capturing the right contacts from address books to make marketing emails more relevant. The design functions that are available are great too.
Another great part of Dotdigital which many other competitors don't offer is their helpful customer support team, whenever you have any kind of problem it's very easy to reach out, seek help and get on hand support within a matter of minutes via their online chat platform, they're great at keeping you updated if it's something they have to investigate further. Like anything there is a few downsides to Dotdigital which one of them is not being able to update/amend the templated unsubscribe link templates, you would need to make your own and then unsubscribe people manually.
Dotdigital can sometimes be buggy when it comes to what you see in design as appose to what you see in apple mail of windows, it would be good to have an option to view the email in different leading email platforms whether it's yahoo, gmail or icloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
