What do you like best about Dotdigital?

DD's ability to quickly create responsive emails is a big step-up for us since we moved from Mailchimp. Now we can finally reach our design goals without having to compromise the look and feel of our brand for a responsive friendly middle ground. What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

The user interface could be significantly improved. It looks somewhat dated and is often difficult to navigate. Modernise the user interface and experience and rule the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing our outbound marketing database allows us to segment and organise our data. Enabling us to contact customers with the information they want. The easy-to-configure API has also made Dot Digital the main database for our product registration system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Dotdigital is an excellent tool for Email Marketing. The user-friendly platform is easy to use with little experience saving time in creating email and also training staff. I love the drag-and-drop tools which make creating emails a breeze. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to create engaging email campaigns. Reporting is excellent and setting up the data feeds with our IT department was a breeze.

I cannot say enough on how great customer service is! Alyssa our Senior Customer Success Manager has consistently shown the utmost kindness and professionalism. She takes the time to meet with us monthly to review our data and has many suggestions for improving the health of our data and well as suggestions for increasing our ROI. Her advanced knowledge of the Dotdigital platform, has significantly enhanced our understanding and usage of the platform, particularly in the areas of reporting and automation. Alyssa also explains things on an understandable level. Making it easy to execute her suggestions. She is the best CSM I have ever worked with.

I also can’t say enough for Adrian, Digital Project Specialist, who has helped me set up a number of automated projects. On each project Adrian made things simple and was understandable and easy to collaborate with on projects. Had many helpful suggestions on the best way to set-up the automation programs to maximize results based on his experience. He explained every step and made certain, you understood the project. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Dotdigital offers an intuitive and user-friendly drag-and-drop editor. I especially appreciate the level of control it provides over design elements such as borders and padding, along with the ability to optimise blocks specifically for desktop or mobile devices. This flexibility has been crucial for building visually appealing, responsive emails quickly and efficiently.

Dotdigital's segmentation tools make targeting the right audience easy and enable me to schedule multiple emails on the same day to different audience segments with confidence that they won't overlap.

Dotdigital’s reporting capabilities are another highlight. The analytics capabilities allow me to review the basics like open rate and click to open rate but also features more advanced options like heat mapping and specific click analysis. Dotdigital enables me to send emails to consumers quickly and efficiently. eCRM is only a small portion of my overall work and the platform enables me to do what I need to effectively in focused pockets of time and then move onto my next project or responsibility. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Really easy platform to use and train people to use. Customer support has always been fantastic and really helpful. Any way you decide to contact them you'll always get a response within a couple of hours, sometimes within the hour. Always really friendly and never had any issues arise. No problems with implementation, straightforward. My whole working day is based around Dotdigital so I am constantly on the platform. Intergration is also never an issue with us. What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

Reporting side of things is good but feel we as a company are missing one tracked element, revenue. Would be really useful for us to have revenue as a filter when looking at campaign reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Still in the early stages, but so far every touch point with Dotdigital has been professional, helpful and informative, so I love the customer service and training. In terms of the platform itself, so intuitive, so many possibilities and a great tool, backed up by amazing training, comprehensive training videos and extremely helpful on boarding team. With our previous platform, we were limited by the segmentation (partly our fault, as well as usability of our previous supplier) of our customer list. This meant we sent alot of blanket send emails, with little personalisation. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

The best thing about Dotdigital is that it is based in the UK. If I need support, I can get it instantly using their chat support tool. I can get a quick answer via their AI or choose to speak to a person. From using other ESPs in the past like MailChimp, getting support has not been instant because they aren't based in the UK.

Another thing I like about Dotdigital is their design and I can work in dark mode. The design is user-friendly and looks really good. There are some quite ugly ESPs out there but Dotdigital is really stylish and sleek. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

Little things like not being able to see a history of imports that are older than 30 days. They could also communicate their new items on the system in an area on the tool that gives a sort of "coming soon" pop up as sometimes I don't get to see these updates via email and one day, I'll go to use the tool and a bunch of things has changed. What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dotdigital resolves our communications to our warm supporters. Allowing us to be able to reach them, in the way they want to be communicated with and provide our supporters with news etc as well as gaining donations and income from our contacts. Currently it is also allowing us to do automation even though our CRM is not integrated with Dotdigital. We are gradually getting into integration and thanks to Dotdigital having a Dynamics app, it looks like integration is going to go smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dotdigital?

The process of creating newsletters and e-shots for multiple brands is easy - you can set templates which is handy, and send tests to any relevent people within the team to sign off on. Having the form function is incredibly helpful too for running competitions and we have even set up a sandbox account to run replies from an automated system on one of our websites. Training new staff on the platform is easy. Customer support are there to help if needed, to help with integration and implementation. There's still much more we've not utilised with Dotdigital and the team look forward to discovering what else is possible next year as we renew our contract. What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

Invoicing can be a little unclear sometimes. Curating lists/segments is not the easiest but we hope to work with the Dotdigital team on that next year to get a better structure in place. Dotdigital is our only email marketing communication tool for a publishing company with eight seperate brands, and so being able to use the platform for both newsletters and e-shots is beneficial. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Having used other automation and email marketing platforms in the past, Dotdigital is my go-to for it's user-friendly interface, intuitive features, reporting metrics and support + training functions. What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

Sometimes the reporting figures are skewed by bot activity - if you deepdive into the clicks reports for example, it's really easy to identify bots, but this isn't reflected in the dashboards - perhaps an issue AI will be able to fix someday! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dotdigital helps collect and use customer data to better understand our audience. Regarding the bot activity you mention in the reports, if you haven't already, I'd highly recommend switching on our non-human activity filter. This should stop any activity that doesn't appear to be "human" from any campaigns you send moving forward.

What do you like best about Dotdigital?

The platform is awash with so many wonderful features to make customer strategy and planning easy with its segmentation and opportunities dashboard. Campaign implementation is made straightforward with the templates, flows and AI widget, whilst the dashboard gives a broad view of performance. We've yet to hit a ceiling with our expectations! Greater insight into our data with the customer persona segmentations and identifying key opportunities. Enabling us to build out a wide range of automation programs that help nuture and acquire new cusomers, maintain customers and also to win back customers. We've also set about revamping our BAU program, looking at preference centres and frequency of campaings, thinking about engaged and unengaged cusotmers separately. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Dot Digital is designed for marketers from varying level of experience, as its intuitive design encourages junior marketers to develop their skills, and senior marketers to experiment and propel sales. Users can drag and drop blocks to easily build assets and text, and duplicate efforts to minimise build times for crucial CRM efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like to see a greater varierty of custom building blocks like countdown clocks and coupon codes to help drive sales efforts. Dot Digital is not designed for larger scale email efforts as it has limits of nodes within programs but is perfect for small to mid-sized databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dot Digital helped streamline our onboarding for new customers, plus a series of other automated efforts to communicate within the pulse of the customer lifecycle. We used it's intuitive design to build standard templates for our various categories of emails including sales, subscriptions and editorial. The consistency and efficiency of Dot Digital means we spend less time building and more time reporting and testing new approaches to optimise conversions and engagement.
