As an organisation we love using Dotdigital, it has a vase number of features which you can incorporate into any campaign. Compared to other platforms Dotdigital is setup to be used as a marketing function and has key elements like A/B testing, plain text etc all in mind when setting up a email campaign.
One thing which really stands out to us is the customer support tools, there are endless amount of guides along with chat support which has been more than useful at the those times you just can't figure it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dotdigital's market-leading email tool was ahead of its time 15 years ago. Since then they have strengthened it with new features and tools that are as easy to use.
They guide you through the implementation and integration with other systems.
I feel sorry for other marketers that aren't able to use Dot Digital.
When I go for a job interview and they are heavily wedded to a competitor tool with no interest in moving to dot digital I may take a pass on the job. Dot Digital is part of the kit I use to help businesses.

There's a real risk that as Dot Digital gets bigger and adds features it will be its downfall if it can't deliver those features in as much quality as it does already for the rest of the platform. Half baked.
Having to pay extra for Google ads audiences is a bit lame.

The platform itself is reliable, with user-friendly interface that makes utilizing Dotdigital a breeze. It is first and foremost an email marketing platform with SMS marketing features. I find that there's much to improve with the SMS portion, perhaps better trackability of performance. However, having said that, SMS greatly differs region by region based on the country's telecom laws and whatnot so restrictions in what type of content is allowed in SMS might vary for this reason. It is easy to use, the drag an drop editor makes for really professional emails to customers, the automation is amazing and really brings in results. it is easy to manage the data and segments make it easy to direct emails to the most appropriate people - all in all it is out foremost marketing tool.The customer support is great, my account manager is really engaged and easy to get help from and the re ae many FAQs and topics to find help from whilst waiting for the account manager to get back to you. The simplicity of using the platform, the updates that are always offering the latest features. The customer support given throughout my experience with DotDigital has been excellent, right from when I spoke with Sales (Elliot) to get our bespoke quote and well into our onboarding with Oliver. In between during my onboarding I had Josh and Anna assist with the setup of our account and the integration with Adobe. The onboarding experience was a little clunky and I felt that I was 'left to it' in the first month but after I was passed onto another staff member they took a lot more of a hands on approach (which I prefer this type of aid) and worked through implementing programs and integrating our Adobe Commerce Cloud platform with DotDigital. This was a very positive experience after the first month feeling a little overwhemed with the integration process when things went wrong. I don't dislike the templates but feel more could be offered to clients such as a taster of their branding styled emails which is usually a paid service/upgrade...this could be given as a one of template to trial at the start of our journey with DotDigital which would support a case to free up more budget. The onboarding was very detailed, and informative done by Carlus who was great and answered all our questions. The ongoing support and online guides/blogs/AI bot were really helpful when questions arose or team members needed extra training. Email journeys were easy to build/track. We were able to cleanse our subscribers, using DotDigital tools to remove invalid contacts and also double-verifying new contacts which was great to ensure compliance. As our company is sales-focused, we ideally wanted to be able to send emails as though they were being sent from individuals in our company such as an email from our CEO's work email rather than a marketing domain. Understandably this was so the sender reputation isn't affected, but it is something we are able to do on other platforms so this would have been good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Dotdigital makes it easy to target and segment out our audience and send emails with their user-friendly drag-and-drop systems. It's a breeze to make templates and automate our emails all in place.

There aren't many downsides to Dotdigital. Setting up automated emails, updating them, and back-end items, can be cumbersome.
