The thing I like best about RecoverPoint is the "DVR" style ability to recover to a very granular point in time. Your RPO can vary per your choice, zero seconds (synchronous) to a few seconds or several minutes (asynchronous). And the point-in-time recovery does work reliably. This isn't necessarily a dislike, but RecoverPoint is not just an appliance you simply plug in and start using. There are considerations for setting up your journals that will vary depending on your RPO, consistency group setup, considerations like latency between sites if you are using RecoverPoint CRR, and SAN zoning configuration requires some planning. EMC RecoverPoint is an excellent Technology for Business Continuity, as a Financial Institution with have different regulations that require to have a BCP, BIA and Procedures to replicate the services that we offer.
