What do you like best about ClickUp?

We customized ClickUp about a year and a half ago for a team workflow tool. It worked awesome right out of the gate with hardly any tweaks. We use colours and folders and find that there are very few issues with team members overlapping in the workflow. We also use some of the reporting tools for weekly stats.

I think one of the best features is visibly we can see who has the work and how much there is of it at any given time. The way we designed the layout you can easily see the status and information within each file at a glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I think two of the downsides of using ClickUp are one: The automations are not consistently working for us and have been an issue from the beginning. Second: the team has to use ctrl f5 on a regular bases to update the screen with any changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp is ensuring our team has a clean workflow of tasks between users without any overlap or tasks running out of service delivery times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

I use ClickUp all over. It is core to my daily workflow, project plan and knowledge base. I love how everything is on one place. I have used many tools over the years to help me keep track of work and clickup solves all the problems for me. I like the flexibility that clickup offers - I have made so many lists from tasks management, renovations, project management, software projects, property investing, meeting minutes and tracking info,. I feel that it is a must-have for any business- from one man shows to more corpotartes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I find clickup intuitive, but feel comforatble with technology. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp seriously fixed my mess of scattered info and forgotten tasks. I used to have projects, SOPs, meeting notes, and all those recurring tasks spread across who-knows-how-many tools.

Templates are a lifesaver, especially for the stuff I do over and over again. And having my SOPs right there means I can find them fast when I need to. With the new AI Brain I can also search across all my docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

I need a blog to write everything I like about ClickUp. They have EVERYTHING: Tasks (in list view, table view, board view, calendar view, map view, etc), Docs, IA, Dashboards, automations... You can share public links of tasks or docs. The tasks have a activity tab, so you can see all the history about that task. It's so flexible and professional. With ClickUp there are no excuses for not being extremely productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

That's hard. I don't now what to write about it. Maybe the fact that I'm not in control of every ClickUp decisions (but that happens with all the other platforms). But even ClickUp has a "Feature Request" forum, so we can add and vote on possible new features. I'm sorry, I said another thing I like about ClickUp in this question. I'm not capable of saying bad things about ClickUp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp organize my personal life and my professional work life. I'm always on ClickUp organizing my next steps. It helps me a lot to be more productive. I can't live without ClickUp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp is extremely flexible and user-friendly. It allows us to manage both Agile and Waterfall workflows with ease, adapting perfectly to the different needs of each team. The platform is highly intuitive, quick to configure, and packed with features like dashboards, custom fields, automations, and more. Its usability really stands out — even non-technical users can get up to speed quickly, which has made adoption seamless across departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

While the status workflows are customizable, there’s currently no way to make them conditional based on other task properties (just automations), such as task type or priority. This limits some automation possibilities and adds a bit of complexity when trying to manage diverse workflows in a unified way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use ClickUp primarily for IT project management and operational task tracking across multiple departments. It helps us coordinate both Agile and Waterfall workflows, manage incoming demand, track progress through custom statuses, and maintain a global overview of department-wide initiatives. We also use it for internal planning, team collaboration, and reporting through dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp is one of the most capable tools I’ve used for managing complex, multi-department workflows like hiring, inventory, and product development.

• The level of customization is exceptional—everything from custom views to automation logic can be tailored to your team’s exact needs.

• It successfully replaces several other apps by consolidating project management, task tracking, documentation, and dashboards in one place.

• When organized well, it provides strong visibility across functions and helps standardize processes.

• The ability to automate repetitive tasks and build advanced workflows saves time and reduces human error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

The interface is visually overwhelming, especially for neurodivergent users or anyone sensitive to clutter and overstimulation.

• Notifications pile up quickly and become noise unless carefully filtered, which adds to mental fatigue.

• Without strict structure and constant upkeep, it’s easy for spaces, lists, and automations to get messy or break workflows.

• Features like Docs, Whiteboards, and Goals feel disconnected and less developed compared to the core task management functionality.

• The learning curve is steep and the system requires regular maintenance, making it a challenge for smaller teams without a dedicated admin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp helps me centralize operations that would otherwise be spread across multiple platforms. I’ve used it to manage hiring workflows, inventory tracking, product development pipelines, and internal tasks—all in one place. It reduces tool-switching, streamlines communication, and gives me better visibility into what’s happening across functions. Automations save time on repetitive tasks, and the custom views help me see exactly what I need without digging through clutter. When it’s set up correctly, it brings order to chaos and keeps complex processes moving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

Our team loves ClickUp! Myself and one of our Account Managers in particular. Like any project management system, it takes some planning and set up (to ensure your team is using it the same way across the board) but, once you've got your core needs in place, it's very easy to use and customize. In fact, one of our favorite things about ClickUp is how customizable it is. They offer a Custom Fields feature that allows you to create any relevant fields that will work best for your team. Additionally, they have dashboards that allow you to create reports filtered by those custom fields. It's really great!

Outside of a day-to-day use, they host some really insightful and fun online events. My coworkers and I look forward to those and have walked away with useful information on more than one occasion. I've never used a tool before that is supported by a truly active community, and it's a breath of fresh air. ClickUp has done a fantastic job of creating a community where you can leverage other members to learn more, explore new solutions, and even work through issues.

I've used RedBooth, Asana, and Monday.com. ClickUp is by far the best. It's like taking the capabilities of all 3 of those platforms and combining them into one that makes more sense than any of them did individually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I wish templates and some of the reporting was easier to use. That said, I'm still exploring some of those so I can't necessarily say I "dislike" them. It's more that I'm not well-versed in them yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Time tracking and daily task management. We're a remote team which means we all have to be able to quickly see what work we have for a given client, who is assigned to what, when it's due, etc. We use the mentioning feature a lot to give a formal notification of work being handed off when an assignee name has changed. What do you like best about ClickUp?

When we were first researching project management solutions, the largest complaint we heard was that ClickUp was too complicated, it had too many options. This is how we knew we had found the tool for us. We needed a tool that was as flexible and powerful as possible to solve our complicated needs. That is exactly what we found with ClickUp. Thanks to the team at Process Driven, we got off to the right foot setting up and using our systems in ClickUp as we migrated from Trello.

Though we had some reluctant users at first, everyone is now in love with ClickUp. I cannot imagine how we would run our business without it.

One of the best parts is when something goes wrong, as things will when it comes to software (and the rest of life), the ClickUp Support team is quick to respond and provides a level of customer service that is so rare these days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I think I've been spoiled by the flexibility of the system. Every system has limitations, but it is so rare that you hit your head on one with ClickUp that when I do I find I have an irrational first response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Overall, the organization and task management. We use the system for custom software development, tracking projects from ideation to launch and support and beyond. At the same time, we leverage the software to manage our own business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

I love how customizable the platform is—I can switch between List, Board, and Gantt views depending on my workflow. The integrated Chat feature also makes real-time collaboration super convenient and is one of the reasons I use ClickUp daily. Plus, the automations and AI tools save me tons of time on repetitive tasks. Setting up project spaces, tasks, and automations was surprisingly smooth. My team got the hang of it after a few quick training sessions. Also the help docs and live chat have been super responsive, ensuring we’re never stuck for long. One thing we did was integrated ClickUp with Google Drive in just a few clicks, saving us time and avoiding tool-switching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

There’s a bit of a learning curve when you first start using it, and some of the advanced features can feel overwhelming until you get the hang of them. Occasionally, I wish the mobile app had the full functionality of the web version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the resent features is AI notetaking. This really helps me keep on track with my meetings and what was said. Sometimes I have over 5 meetings in a day and over 30 in a week which makes remembering each meeting difficult Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

After years of jumping between colorful boards, minimalist checklists, and overly complex dashboards, I finally found something that feels like home.

The biggest pain I had with other tools was fragmentation. I’d manage tasks in one app, communicate with my team in another, track documents somewhere else, and constantly juggle between tabs like I was playing keyboard Tetris. It was inefficient.

What sets ClickUp apart for me is how seamlessly it combines task management with real-time messaging and collaboration. Instead of switching from a task to a chat app, I can just click into a task and start a discussion right there. Every comment, file, and update is exactly where it needs to be, attached to the task itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

Certain features I got used to are missing, eg. Slack has Unreads, making it easy to catch up with all teams across multiple channels. I’ve also noticed that performance can lag occasionally, especially with larger workspaces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp is solving one of the biggest problems I’ve faced in my workflow: scattered information and disconnected communication. By bringing tasks, comments, docs, and chats into a single space, it eliminates the constant switching between tools and the risk of things slipping through the cracks.

For me, that’s meant more focus, better follow-through, and less stress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp is an all-on-one tool we need for our company. We love it because it includes a lot of tools we need for our collaboration, management and so on. Besides, ClickUp is very active with many new features or improvements released every month.

Another reason we love to go with ClickUp for a longterm journey is the good pricing structure they have. The price is reasonable and very compatible with the other management tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

Currently we don't have much disappointed things with using ClickUp. However, I hope that new features that they add in the future won't affect the performance of the platform. Please should always care about performance and stable of of the cache system of your product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved for other famous management tools to ClickUp because it provide all-in-one solution. It centralize our information, discussions, time management, etc. in one place. So we don't have to open so much application to start our work everyday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ClickUp?

What I love most about ClickUp is how effortlessly it brings our team and clients onto the same page.

The platform gives us everything—from Kanban boards and Gantt charts to Docs and whiteboards—in one place, so we can brainstorm, plan, and execute without hopping between tools.

Real‑time comments, easy @mentions, and granular permissions mean clients can see exactly what they need (and nothing they don’t) while still collaborating directly in the task or doc. Add in powerful automations, custom fields, and integrations with Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom, and ClickUp becomes a true “command center” that keeps projects moving and communication crystal‑clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

Because ClickUp packs so much power under one roof, it can occasionally feel like drinking from a firehose. New teammates—and even some clients—need a solid onboarding session before they’re comfortable navigating all the views, hierarchies, and settings. The depth of customization is fantastic, but it also means you can spend a lot of time tweaking rather than doing. We’ve also noticed that large workspaces (thousands of tasks, lots of automations) can lag or throw the occasional “Something went wrong” error, especially in the desktop app. The mobile experience is improving but still feels pared‑down compared with the web version, and native reporting dashboards sometimes require creative work‑arounds or third‑party tools to get the exact metrics we want. In short, ClickUp’s versatility is both its superpower and its biggest hurdle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ability to invite guest users and collaborate with them is a great feature and helped us reduce hours of meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
