I continue to deeply value Chameleon's customer service. Our CSM is very proactive and will test things for us, inform us directly on outages, even provide sample code to work with.
As a tool, Chameleon saves us a lot of time and stress. We use Chameleon to build, segment, and prioritize in-app communications so that we don't flood our users with emails. Chameleon has drastically cut down our email sends and Chamelonquickly became our most frequenly used communication channel, but one more suited to handle that volume. If I was worried about customers seeing more than three emails a week, I could relatively easily make it so they never receive the fourth email, but setting up a delay would be much harder. With Chameleon, it's very simple for me to manage how many in-app modals customers are seeing and ensure that if it's too many, the next modals are just in a backlog to view once the customer is eligible/unsaturated.
We had to re-implement Chameleon this year and I was surprised by how very easy and quick it was. Chameleon's team was a huge help as well.
Chameleon's use case is invaluable for any modern SaaS product, and there's no competitor doing it better. It's so simple to use and quick to get started. At the end of the day the majority of our blockers are internal, and while Chameleon could do a little more as a product that would help us unblock them, I do see them as genuinely involved and motivated in keeping every customer, and they have made meaningful incremental improvements where possible. As a customer marketer I completely understand wanting to encourage strong feature adoption, but Chameleon has often tried to encourage me to adopt features I've already explained won't work for us or aren't compatible. Meanwhile, features that could genuinely improve our adoption, like permission settings that would allow us to bring more users in, are gated behind an additional paywall. Chameleon is a great company but can continue to improve by criticially evaluating their pay structure and truly listening empathetically to users when we explain why something won't work for us - I use Chameleon for it to create less work for us, not more.
We have had some issues with bugginess or modals not placing where they should. Chameleon's CS team is always very attentive and proactive, but these issues have sometimes taken much longer to resolve than I'd like. This is in part due to how our app is designed, so your mileage may vary - but I wish it was a tad more compatible with our app. If not with our app, it would at least be nice to see more consistency across features for different types of in-app experiences.
Chameleon has a number of integrations, which are useful and often fairly plug and play, but each I have tried have had certain limitations in use. I'd like to see Chameleon go deeper more than wider moving forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate the depth Chameleon offers from a product adoption standpoint. There are many capabilities that allow you to create pretty much native level looking experiences and additionally there are many intriguing features such as Interactive Demos or HelpBar that enable us to going one step above the regular customer engagement. Overall, creating common flows is very playful and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This might be due to our complexities and the way our product is designed but we have encountered situations where we had to be discovering occasional workarounds to be able to display experiences for our users the way we intended. On the other hand, the level of support we have been getting has been top notch from day 1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Chameleon stands out from competitor with its clean and easy to use interface. We tried out a competitor but ultimately went with Chameleon due to its ease of use and more competitive price point. I like the way that it looks when it overlays on or website and how we can adjust without much trouble. The tooltips, tours and surveys are very helpful for us, and for our customers. I like that they're trying to incorporate AI into their tools - this is really important to us. It was really easy to integrate into our site, it took one of our devs a couple of hours and since then, we haven't had to use dev help at all to make the tool work, which is super helpful.
Update: after using Chameleon for more than a year, it continues to be helpful and an important part of our user experience. It is so nice to have a streamlined way to share new content and features with our users through tooltips, tours and announcements...but also to have our ongoing launcher where we can have on demand training and FAQs. We're excited to continue using this and improving our user experience and overall engagement with our product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the editor isn't quite as intuitive as I wish it was, but once I've gone through and done it a few times, it gets easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As somebody continually exposed to new platforms and applications, it's rare to find one that's so quick to get up and running with, and where you can find pretty much everything you want without even having to refer to the documentation. Chameleon was this simple - within minutes it was possible to get to grips with all of the key basics, and every time I found myself thinking "I wonder if I can tweak this thing" - then lo and behold, yes you could! We haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what it can do (I'm looking forward to playing with Launchers) but already it's allowing us to dramatically improve the quality of in-platform help in our applications. The only real annoyance with Chameleon - and something that's probably unavoidable - is the fact that sometimes the builder panels open in the "wrong" place. Maybe there could be an option to "dock" them on one side of the screen, like browser dev tools? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the integrations in Chameleon. It's great being able to really customize a user segment in Heap, and then pull the segment into Chameleon to use as a targeted segment for a tour. It really expands the power of Chameleon and hones my ability to target just the right user.
I also like the pre-configured quick buttons in the builder, like the automatic progress tracker and the delight animation. I also like the banner option where I can add an announcement at the top of the browser, and it moves the browser contents down rather than covering them.
Also, my experience with the support team was really great. We recently had an issue that we had screen shots of, but couldn't replicate. Max on Chameleon's support team did some impressive research and figured out what went wrong. I have had nothing but great experiences with Chameleon's support team. The set the bar very high. I wish that I had a little more freedom to arrange elements horizontally within a guide. Sometimes it's ideal to have an image aligned next to some copy instead of above or below the copy. I'd also love to be able to adjust alignment and other design elements without having to use CSS; however, it's still doable with CSS, which is the most important thing for me. The ease of use and customization is key for us! Its our immediate go-to tool for getting announcements and information to our customers. The ability to easily create segments based on our users' attributes allows us to target exactly who we need to, when we need to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything! The Chameleon team keeps us informed of feature updates and future developments which is greatly appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our organization loves using Chameleon to connect with our digital community. We use it to build onboarding tours, announce events, and publish new content partner announcements. The ease of use and implementation have allowed us to build tours, banners, and pop-up announcements consistently. Whenever we meet with our dedicated customer support team member, our questions are always answered and we walk away feeling confident and supported. They are always there to brainstorm with us for best use cases. Chameleon easily integrates with our product and our technical questions are always answered. We go into our dashboard weekly to monitor engagement and find the data to be easy to understand and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only challenge we have is that there is part of our product that doesn't integrate with Chameleon so we lose a segment of our audience. However, the customer support and product teams are eager to continue working on a solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a leader from a CS background and minimal knowledge of HTML, CSS, etc... I find Chameleon to be very no-code / low-code so far for my needs. I know there are more advanced use cases I may need that for but honestly it's all pretty intuitive. The ability to clone tours is super helpful and I find the integration from Amplitude and SFDC to give me the right data to form segments. My absolute favorite part is working with our CSM, Andrew. Since my first day joining my new role I've seen him as a true partner in helping me achieve success. Digital CS is a new role at our company and the ability to move quickly and have a true partner supporting me as has been invaluable. I also really am excited to try out Embeddables in our product. sometimes it feels a bit buggy and have had engineering ticket open for a while but just more of an inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Chamelon team stands out above the rest. Our CSM, Andrew, has been an awesome resoruce for us and is very receptive to feedback. They truly care and its evident in all our interactions. I also have great respect for the way in which their CEO, Pulkit, is building a community around their product and bringing leaders together to share and ideate.
Chameleon also takes data security very seriously and shows that via their pursuit of SOC 2 and continuous compliance monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With any product, there are sometimes bugs and issues, but the team takes feedback and works to address them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Chameleon was very simple to set up -- it just worked auto-magically out of the box with a few lines of code. The builder experience was very intutitive as well compared to a lot of other similar platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is not a lot of analytics inbuilt -- so you have to use an outside platform. This, however, lets you integrate analytics with your own paltform, so can be a good thing depending on how you look at it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Chameleon was straightforward to set up and has been a hassle-free experience for our team. With little training, we were confident in creating, publishing, testing, and measuring new customer experiences. The out-of-the-box analytics, testing, and AI features have impressed us too. Within the first two weeks of launching our first Chameleon experiences, we saw significant adoption gains on a new user offering. We're excited to continue to experiment and see what additional value we can get.
Finally, Nuno Morais, our Success Manager has been exceptional. The level of support, best practices, and expertise provided is a game changer. A joy true joy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, nothing has stuck out to me as a "dislike". The one "issue" we had revolved around an integration setting related to PII data and my success manager took our feedback in earnest. Even following up without me inquiring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
