What do you like best about Basecamp?

We have 2 teams, one in Spain and another one in Mexico, we use basecamp to keep track of projects, to share updates and to basicly have a great follow up of task and activities. For us it is very easy to use and with the mobile version it is also easy to update new things or to contact someone of the team real quick. We can also have different boards or chat room for each of the clients or projects we are involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

The response of the customer support team takes a little bit long to receive a solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

This is the tool we choose to help us with our Project Management situation, in 2021 we work with other tool that was very complicated, so the bennefit that we see in Basecamp is that it is easy to look on task and updates, and also easy to upload files. For us it is a great solution, we have boards for every client we have and ir easy to keep track of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

I was very relieved when Basecamp came into my working life; the intuitive interface ensures that even those with no knowledge can understand it. Making to-do lists allows me to organize my day, delegate work to my team, and check items when they are finished. Crossing those items off the list is a wonderful sensation! His ability to consolidate discussions, documents, and assignments in one place is priceless. Thanks to the campaign function, I can organize the development and deployment of content initiatives in a methodical way, which keeps my team on the same page. We can keep ourselves informed without being overwhelmed by customizing notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

The user interface seems a bit old to me; compared with other tools today, it lacks modernity and aesthetic appeal. I hope you will soon be able to add more frequent updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

It was like finding the anchor we needed in a sea of chaos when we started using Basecamp for business. It was a complete disaster when we used to use separate programs for tasks, chat, and files. Thanks to all your work, each of us is aware of our own responsibilities and when they should be fulfilled, thanks to the common lists of tasks. We can keep track of important events using the calendar and all our discussions in a central location with the message board. No more communication errors or misplaced emails, nor disorganized tasks, and unable to achieve our goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

Basecamp does a great job making it easy for others to complete tasks and network. It significantly cuts down on meeting time and creates transparancy where silo's often exist in a manufacturing and production environment. Implementation is simple and straight forward. Customer support has always been great. We use the software on a daily basis for items that would normally have been done with pen and paper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

There are few downsides to Basecamp.

If a person forgets to assign the next to-do, projects can remain open as there is no way to see if a project is not assigned to anyone.

It would be helpful if there was a language option to easily convert between English and Spanish for employees that are better suited for reading and writing in Spanish as opposed to English.

Older verisions of Basecamp you could assign persons to tasks in templates. This feature is missed and it would be great if it could be brought back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Basecamp reduces silo's amongst departments. It helps to create accountablity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

Basecamp came as a solution that I didn’t know we needed until we implemented it. The first thing that caught my eye was its design: clean, visual, and very easy to understand. The whiteboards are great; it allowed us to organize everything at a glance, and we were able to customize them as we wanted. Automation takes things to a new level: tasks that once took hours to complete now resolve themselves. And I can’t help but mention how it integrates with Slack and other utility tools. That made my team better connected and work more closely. It serves as more than just a project tool; it's akin to having a proactive assistant at your disposal, requiring no expertise to operate. What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Although it has been great and error-free, when we work on very large projects with many real-time updates, sometimes you notice that the platform slows down a bit. It hasn't slowed us down, but optimizing it for those cases would be ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Basecamp, our project management was a disaster. No one could properly follow the endless spreadsheets and email chains used for everything. It was effortless to get lost in the process and even more so to cause delays. Since Basecamp came, everything changed. Visual charts help us see what everyone is working on, and automations save us a lot of time. A clear example was during the recent year-end project launch: we had a thousand things going at the same time, and Basecamp helped us keep everything under control. Being able to make adjustments on the fly was key to not getting lost in the chaos. Today, we can’t imagine managing projects without this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

I love that every tool I use is all in once place. I love having our information centralized and easy to find. I love that I can search for whatever I'm looking for and it comes up; the search works! Once we signed up, it was so easy to get up-and-running and get everyone on the same page. I use this tool every single day and I don't know how I would continue to do my job without it. It's really centralized all of our information and communication into one easy-to-use and easy-to-search place.

The one time I had to reach out to customer support they responded quickly and answered my questions in a friendly, helpful manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

There is nothing I dislike about Basecamp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

All of our business and project communication was fragmented before Basecamp. Some things were emailed, some things were in Google Drive, and it was frustrating to have to search for pieces of information in multiple locations. We had tried tools like Trello and Slack, but neither of them quite solved the problem.

Basecamp gives us the functionality of Google Drive PLUS the functionality of Slack PLUS a task manager all in once place. I can still store things in Google Drive, but sharing them in BC makes them easier to find for the whole team. It's allowed us to communicate and keep information in one central location so that everyone knows where to look - in one place.

Basecamp also improves their services and adds or improves functionality all the time. When they update things, they send the best messages explaining them. It feels like the people who run BC understand how my brain works. It's very intuitive for me.

Plus BC has a super simple subscription model. You pay one monthly fee and you get unlimited projects and users. I don't have to do complicated calculations about who or what can be on BC: I can add everything and everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

I love how user-friendly it is while remaining complex enough to manage my complex workload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Currently, I do not like that when I assign one task to multiple team members it gets checked off the moment 1 person clicks that it is done. I am wanting each of our team members to do this task, but don't want to have to copy it separately. I wish there was a way that when someone checks the task off (if multiple people are assigned) it would just put a check by each person's name in which it is assigned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has been a game changer for our teams communication, collaboration, visibility and task organization / management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

Having a "one stop shop" to be able to store policies, procedures, lists of tasks to finish (to-do's) & also being able to message each other without using multiple systems helps us to be more efficient. Being able to move quickly helps us address our customer & business needs quickly as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

I don't like that it doesn't have a "duplicate" option. For instance, we make to-do's for certain things we have to do like holiday items. There is a recurrance option which has helped but, sometimes the holidays don't fall on the same day or you want to make the same to-do. Would be very helpful to help duplicate it versus having to make a new one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having one loction for polcies, procdures, tasks and communication is a huge help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

Crossfunctional teams, including internal and external stakeholders can collaborate and communicate on a specific project using Basecamp.

It provides focused discussion among the project team members and help track down progress and action items in separate discussion.

Usually when you have a certain projects, you just communicate thru email but if you use Basecamp you can easily get a good grasp of whats happening to a project especially if you have numerous projects all at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

What do you like best about Basecamp?

Basecamp helped us keep our conference moving forward. We are scattered all over Texas with the base of operations being in north central Texas. Using basecamp allowed me to easily see progress in each individual. The notification feature is great to keep updates in real time. Several individuals who were not used to a collab application were able to integrate easily. It didn't matter if they were mobile on their phone, their tablet, or computer. PC or Apple, Android or iOS, everyone was able to implement the features quickly and learn quickly. I was able to utilize Basecamp daily due to the simplicity of notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

Very few downsides to Basecamp, imho. The primary downside I saw is that there are two versions. I had downloaded the original version years ago and not had need of it. When our missions conference came up, Basecamp was the preferred application among the collaberators and the new version was out. There was a slight learning curve, but not much at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary purpose of using Basecamp was to give collaborators of our mission conference the space to plan and communicate in real time. Basecamp allowed us to have less zoom meetings because we were able to see each other's progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

What I like best about Basecamp is how seamlessly it helps us manage our remote work process. As a company, it allows us to flawlessly track all of our conversations, planning, tasks, and project progress. It's incredibly functional for task assignment, team communication, and monitoring project developments. Plus, its simple and user-friendly interface allows team members to quickly adapt. All of this facilitates collaboration and boosts our overall efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

There is nothing I dislike about Basecamp. So far, it has solved everything seamlessly and has more than met our needs. Additionally, they continue to develop new features, which makes the platform even more useful with each update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Basecamp is solving several key problems for our remote team. First, it centralizes all communication, tasks, and files in one platform, eliminating the need for multiple tools and reducing confusion. This makes it easy for everyone to stay on the same page, regardless of location or time zone. Second, it provides clear visibility into project timelines and task ownership, helping us track progress and meet deadlines more effectively. The to-do lists, message boards, and automatic check-ins keep everyone aligned without needing constant meetings. As a result, our workflow has become more organized, productive, and transparent.
