Apollo has an intuitive UI that integrates with popular sales engagement platforms such as Outreach. This makes it easy to bulk upload contacts and their info into a sequence (25 at a time as limited by sales nav viewing options). You also have the option to use CSV files for a larger list. These are great, but IMO are considered table stakes for such a tool, given ZoomInfo, Lusha, LeadIQ, etc. can all do this.
Also, they have lead search tools and an email enrichment tool that is really great. They also offer email tracking. Lastly, I like that they have their own sequences that customers can use- my company's plan doesn't allow access, but I would be interested in using this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Compared to every single B2B data tool I've used, Apollo is the worst regarding mobile number access.
Getting them off a prospect's LI is very slow, and it doesn't automatically input them in my outreach sequence. I've contacted them about this, but their support was not helpful.
Lusha, LeadIQ, and ZoomInfo deliver a mobile number instantly at the click of a button with their Chrome extensions rather than stalling on "requesting" or showing the number elsewhere, and this is what I expect when using this tool.

Super easy to implement, to integrate and to use. The functionalities allow for a centralized view of your pipeline, activities, lead conversions, makes it soo easy to create searches and lists of companies and leads you want to focus on, create sequences and easily measure performance, A/B test messaging, automate tasks and make sure you stay on top of changes in your contact list.

I love Apollo's suite of features and integrations. I love workflows, sequences, custom fields etc. I like the chrome extension, especially for task automation. I am extremely grateful that they offer a startup plan. I love their AI FAQs and support team - 90% of my questions can be answered with FAQs that are actually good because AI searches through them for you. While I really appreciate that there are hundreds of millions of leads to pull from Apollo many of them feel stale. Likely because there are so many other Apollo users hitting them as well. Also nailing the delivery timeframe with sequences can be a challenge with virtual hours, domain ramping, etc.. many times the estimated email send time is off or delayed - in turn a few times we have accidentally double delivered a given email/step of a sequence. There's a lot of things that I like about Apollo, including how to execute task and the different sequences that you can set up to send something automatically or connect with someone on LinkedIn automatically. I'm also obsessed with the plug-in on chrome it is beyond helpful, especially when on LinkedIn. I also really enjoy the reporting aspect of it and how I can filter the specific reports. My main audience that I am attracting is cyber security so I need to find senior level executives all within cyber security. Running reports or less help me create strong outreaches. One of the biggest things that I dislike about Apollo is how you cannot change the subject line when you are replying to an email. I would like to be able to edit the subject line after I originally sent someone one email and wanna follow up with another. Also, I think support could be a little better when it comes to getting support ASAP but I know that's kind of difficult to maneuver. As a Sales representative, Apollo is an easy way to obtain useful and accurate information about companies and clients that you are prospecting. The trial credits that are given are a great starter to get a feel for how the software works. All the tools and features are self explanatory really, but if you need help, there is plenty of training and support from a very knowledgable team. I love the fact that they do webinars and you an do trainings whenever. I use Apollo daily building a pipeline of clients. Apollo integrates easily with whatever CRM you are using making everything that much easier and quicker to dominate finding your next lead. I love using the Sequences to generate an email campaign. The functionality as amazing and easy!

The only two downsides would be the cost and the calls from sales support. The cost is a little high if you are a smaller company or just one or two on a sales team. But there is still a lot that you can do without having to pay for credits.
The calls from sales support are a downfall because you click on a feature you don't have access to and someone calls to see if they can get you to add on to your plan. I can type in a list of characteristics for all my prospects and Apollo searches and filters them for me.
I can add different lists and quickly edit emails if they don't work; this helps me track my outreach for every prospect.
I can get notified if prospects get new jobs.

I don't understand why I cannot connect to my iCloud email from the email server, but that is just one of a few negatives.

My favorite part about Apollo is the ability to set up sequences and workflows. This can save countless hours opposed to manual emailing and contact searches!
After just a few short days and two sequences, I already have my first meeting set up! Pipeline management is extremely important for all sales persons and companies, large and small.

This has cut my researching time to a fraction of what it used to be. Using the buying intent signaling has helpped me know where to start with my cold calls and get through to the leads easier. Apollo has been impressive ever since the sales calls and demo. It provides easier, better, and more features than its more expensive counterparts. But it gets even better—they deliver. I like the fact that, even after subscribing, they make sure you truly get the most out of what you paid for by ensuring you know everything they can do and offer. They provided us with two on-call doctors: an Internal Medicine "Doctor" - the support team - to handle medical emergencies requiring immediate attention and a plastic surgeon - Max from Onboarding - to advise me on areas where I could enhance my appearance, making the experience even more beautiful.
