What do you like best about Apollo.io?

As a new business owner with limited resources, I appreciate that Apollo offers real value even on the free plan. Unlike other platforms, it doesn’t restrict the essential features just to push you into upgrading. It feels like Apollo truly understands how to support businesses in their early stages—building trust that naturally leads to long-term loyalty. What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

I found it a bit tricky to navigate the sequences feature at first—especially when I realised my initial email sequence hadn’t gone out due to some AI confusion. Figuring out how to re-send the same emails using the new template was a bit of a mission. What is most helpful about Apollo.io?

We loved the powerful lead database! The incredible amount of valuable contacts allows us to find and target the right people we need to reach out to. The advanced filtering options are great! It's hard to find anything we didn't like about Apollo.io… Everything is so super easy to use that our experience has been quite, quite positive.

The only one thing we found that could be improved are some minor User Experience details (button placement, for instance), but we believe the team will come across and improve on that! 😊

What do you like best about Apollo.io?

How robust and helpful the tool is even on the free tier. Builds a lot of trust in the brand! I know when I sign up for the $99/mo plan soon, it’ll be worth every penny. I like how easy it is to find leads and employees on the website directly from the chrome extension. Also, how easy it is to extract, validate, and save the contact or email. What do you like best about Apollo.io?

The biggest convenience is that I can instantly reach the e-mail address of anyone I want to reach. Creating an automatic sequence also allows me to focus on more events. Also, being able to see the sequence data allows me to observe how I can improve the process. I am using Apollo.io almost daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

Page transitions within the site are very slow. For example, there are a few bad data in the sequence and I will fix the contact info of one of the sequences. After fixing it, I see that I am now on the people page and I will go to the bad data page again and the road is very long.

Also, I want to be able to add gender as we can add automatic name and surname in emails. Or I should be able to add mr/mrs as a custom column in Excel. Because I send emails in Turkish and if I don't put mr/mrs in Turkish, it can be perceived as disrespectful. I know Apollo is an English tool but this could be really helpful. It allows me to easily find the contacts of the people I want to reach. I can also use the Apollo add-on to access the contact information of the people I find on LinkedIn. It allows me to see the data, make quick improvements and move forward. Thanks to the sequences, I can prepare it once and easily deal with my other work, while receiving feedback from the leads. What do you like best about Apollo.io?

As co-founder of Northeastern Advisors, a business brokerage, I’ve been using Apollo.io daily to snag leads and push deals, and it’s solid. It’s easy to use once you get past the initial filter-learning curve, and setup with Gmail was quick—under an hour, though tweaking it for buyer/seller outreach took a bit more. The 275 million contacts, email tools, and LinkedIn integration are killer for finding business owners or investors, even if we skip some extras like AI writing. It syncs smoothly with our stack, despite a few duplicate hiccups, and we rely on it constantly to keep the pipeline moving. Customer support’s decent via email but lags with no live chat, which stings mid-deal. Overall, it’s a cost-effective workhorse for growing a brokerage without drowning in complexity. The training was also great – everyone got involved, found it really useful, and it ensured we're making the most of everything the platform has to offer. Unlike other platforms, it offers so many powerful features – built-in email verification, smart email outreach that avoids spam filters, lookalike data, sales funnels, automations, and more. Apollo is very simple yet robust tool for email outreach as well as leads management. It has got numerous features like extensive people and company database and also data enrichment. We also use its meeting scheduler to let the target audience book meeting slots on the calendar. We have also created some automated processes using their tasks and workflows. Apollo's google chrome extension is very useful. I just simply go to a linkedin account, click on the extension and there you go, we get the phone number and email id instantly. For the email drips, this how we started: We began by creating a comprehensive ICP database using Apollo, which offered extensive metrics on both companies and individuals. Applying filters such as job titles and management levels significantly enhanced the quality of our target audience, while grouping these potential leads into lists based on location and industry made it effortless to develop targeted sequences. Setting up these sequences in Apollo was straightforward, and leveraging Apollo’s AI-driven email-writing capabilities produced impressive deliverability and open rates.

In addition, Apollo’s analytics were exceptionally detailed, providing accurate open and reply rates at both a broad and sequence-specific level. The built-in A/B testing enabled us to identify the most effective emails, allowing us to refine our content in subsequent sequences. Moreover, the option to download performance reports facilitated more granular analyses, making every aspect of the email drip campaign efficient and easy to control. What do you like best about Apollo.io?

Apollo has been quite helpful in the email outreach. The best part is there is very less human intervention required. The sequences are completely automatic. After the configuration is done and content is added, its all just cake walk. I can select the time zone of the country we have to send emails to, and it all takes care of shooting mails in their business hours. We can even customize the working hours. Besides the email outreach, we have also integrated apollo with Pipedrive, which completes out sales CRM process and lead management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

I do not get updates on completion of certain events. For example, we would like to get notification if some user opens my email more than 3 times. With the help of Apollo, we have created our complete ICP database. We get a lot of metrics related to the companies as well as people. This database was then used to shortlist the most relevant people. The filters like Job titles and Management level improved our target audience quality drastically. Then these people were added to a certain list and based on the geography, and industries, we created sequences with the specific content. Creating sequences was very easy in apollo. We used AI features of apollo to write personalized emails which had the highest deliverability rates and open rates. The analytics of apollo are also mind-blowing. The open rates and reply rates are very accurate and at a very granular level. I can also download these and make my separate reports. The analytics are available on a overall level and also on sequence level. They also provide A/B testing for emails in the same sequences, which helped us know which all emails were working and iterate the better working content in the next sequences .
