Apollo has been useful to us for the email outreach. We identify our ICPs using various filters like Revenue, Job titles, Competition and create lists. These lists are then used in the sequences which can be configured based on our prefrences like sending an automated email after 30 mins of adding the contact to the sequences. Their workflows are also excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isnt a way where multiple mailboxes can mail people with a different Name. For example, the 5 mailboxes that we have attached to a account have the same first name and last name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Apollo.io has one of the industry's biggest B2B leads databases. That means it's pretty easy to find the email and LinkedIn of your prospect.
You can organize people into lists, and then set up an outreach sequence.
Alongside automated emails, you can add manual/LinkedIn tasks as well. These Tasks act as a good reminder to follow up at the correct times.
We used the custom fields you can add to people/companies to customize and personalize our email outreach.
The integrated tracking/analytics are valuable too for seeing what's working and what's not.
We use Apollo every day and their customer support has been good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While there are no massive flaws, some little things can be improved:
1. Apollo's Pro plan only gives you 5 mailboxes; more (or the option to add more) would be better.
2. The UI can sometimes be slow to load and feels bloated/heavy performance-wise; but I know they're working on a redesign so hopefully it'll be fixed.
3. Some actions (e.g. adding lead to a sequence) require too many steps/clicks.
4. Their API documentation is a bit lacking so integrations sometimes require effort Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The two things I find the most helpful about Apollo are
1) It's massive database of contacts that is almost infinitely filter-able to drill down to exactly the type of person you're searching for, and
2) The automation possibilities, particularly sequencing emails to follow up with leads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside I've identified is just an upside in disguise. The software is so comprehensive, detailed, and customizable that it's a bit daunting. Because of this I put off learning to use it for a while, but that's on me. There's a gold mine of features and capabilities if you're willing to put in the time to learn the program. The cost is significantly better than ZoomInfo, which we previously had. I really like the more pro-active integration and the ability to see not only has someone from their organization been on our website, but the pages they were on. I also have to say that the on-boarding training classes were excellent. Kate Herget was exceptional. She would tailor the session to our needs. I also loved that she would have us share our screens to navigate to get practical training. She had a tool that would put an arrow next to the area or specific spot she wanted us to go to or click on. It was awesome and time was not wasted trying to find the spot/area not being familiar with the UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I had a couple of contacts on LinkedIn that had changed their role and went to another company. When using the Apollo Chrome extension, it listed their current position still as their previous one, despite LinkedIn showing they have been in their position2-3 months. Apollo should have displayed the new role. I was told that it takes time for Apollo to update. Something like this should not take that long. There should be automatic updates, using AI or simple screen scraper tools. Also the Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Apollo is very user-friendly, has a lot of powerful features and makes it easy to find information about my leads. I really like the chat to find information on how to action something - use it pretty often, the AI is very smart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't dislike much. I wish the platform could run quicker when I click on each lead - it currently takes some time. I also wish the upload of leads was a bit clearer at the start - I've uploaded leads for each company I want and what really matters to me is to have the right lead at a specific company. If the lead leaves, I don't care about following that lead, I need to reach out to the new lead at the specific company. Unfortunately, I feel like I've done it wrong then and now when my leads leave, the platform doesn't suggest new leads but the same lead at another company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are so many ways to use Apollo, that is not easy to explain it, and that is complemented with a step-by-step onboarding so it´s easy to use, integrate to your tools, prospecting, emailing, and tracking the daily activities. I´ve been using Apollo for 2 years already and is just the best of all the tools I have used for similar purposes. The customer service is easy to contact and fast to reply. If you have a team ready to use this tool, just set up your account and set a preset for them to have the same setting out of the box, ready to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Apollo is just incredibly complete, and there is no feature I may think of they are missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The sequence feature really stands out. It’s super helpful to set up cold email sequences and just let them run without constant tweaking. I also like how it auto-adds leads to lists it saves a ton of manual effort. For the US and EU markets, it works pretty well, but it cant beat human written cold emails of course. Honestly, it’s my first time using something like this, and it definitely beats the old-school way or tools like Mailchimp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That 5-page limit for free users when viewing contacts is rough. I get that it’s part of the freemium model, but it feels a bit too restrictive, especially when you’re just trying to scale up. Also, cold emails in India are kinda pointless anywayy—people dont read them here IMO, but for US and EU, it holds up. Would’ve been great if the free plan gave just a bit more breathing room.
I havent used its CRM and other features aside form cold emailing, so no comments there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Super easy to implement, to integrate and to use. The functionalities allow for a centralized view of your pipeline, activities, lead conversions, makes it soo easy to create searches and lists of companies and leads you want to focus on, create sequences and easily measure performance, A/B test messaging, automate tasks and make sure you stay on top of changes in your contact list.
There's not a day I don't use Apollo and tbh I would need at least 3 tools to replace it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The latest updates are not better than the original version, I preferred the old version better because it was more intuitive, at least for me. Also, I miss seeing the city of the lead in the sidebar widget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love Apollo's suite of features and integrations. I love workflows, sequences, custom fields etc. I like the chrome extension, especially for task automation. I am extremely grateful that they offer a startup plan. I love their AI FAQs and support team - 90% of my questions can be answered with FAQs that are actually good because AI searches through them for you. The other 10% the support team has always gotten back to me very fast and resolved me blockers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While I really appreciate that there are hundreds of millions of leads to pull from Apollo many of them feel stale. Likely because there are so many other Apollo users hitting them as well. Also nailing the delivery timeframe with sequences can be a challenge with virtual hours, domain ramping, etc.. many times the estimated email send time is off or delayed - in turn a few times we have accidentally double delivered a given email/step of a sequence. Not entirely Apollo's fault but it could be more proactively communicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I liked the most about using Apollo.io is how simple and user-friendly its interface is.
From the beginning, we received guidance from their team, which was truly that—guidance, not a sales pitch. After that, I was able to make a much more informed and confident decision, knowing that Apollo was exactly what my company needed.
The database is extremely valuable; it undoubtedly gives me more opportunities to reach my target market more effectively.
I can also track my funnel, emails, and calls all in one place.
It’s a comprehensive system that provides a lot of value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I haven't encountered any issues with the platform.
I absolutely love it! It has been incredibly useful for my organization.
The only potential challenge is the inability to switch the language to Spanish, which might be a bit tricky for some team members. However, aside from that, everything is fantastic! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There's a lot of things that I like about Apollo, including how to execute task and the different sequences that you can set up to send something automatically or connect with someone on LinkedIn automatically. I'm also obsessed with the plug-in on chrome it is beyond helpful, especially when on LinkedIn. I also really enjoy the reporting aspect of it and how I can filter the specific reports. My main audience that I am attracting is cyber security so I need to find senior level executives all within cyber security. Running reports or less help me create strong outreaches. One of the biggest things that I dislike about Apollo is how you cannot change the subject line when you are replying to an email. I would like to be able to edit the subject line after I originally sent someone one email and wanna follow up with another. Also, I think support could be a little better when it comes to getting support ASAP but I know that's kind of difficult to maneuver. And the only other thing I dislike about Apollo is that sometimes the add-ons on LinkedIn and or Gmail don't always load properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
