This, coupled with the feeling of being desperate with tools, suggests a need for a more streamlined setup process. Furthermore, the pricing could be more accommodating for smaller businesses, and a more user-friendly learning hub would be beneficial.

Also, being able to coordinate all marketing messages from one place is something I value a lot, as it allows me to avoid the effort of managing multiple campaigns across different channels. The ability to quickly react to customer actions and greatly reduce manual work is a great benefit. Additionally, I found the initial setup very easy, like for children.

It is complex at the beginning and some interactions require too much adjustment. It is not very fast in processing very complex paths. The interface for debugging could be improved.

It helps me follow through on a lead, and the way it automates things makes the whole process much easier and more convenient. It also provides a good history and suggests next actions, which helps me stay on track.

If I had to point out the only downside of using Adobe Journey Optimizer, it would be that the cost is too high. It’s also somewhat difficult to get started and not very beginner-friendly, so I had to train first in order to use it to its full potential.

Real time analyzing is the key to keep track of KPIs and with this tool I can track without too much effort and make reports to my colleagues to discuss our next steps.

For small business i didn't recommended it is expensive and you won't be able to spend all the Best Features that offer, I trully recommend to Businesses that have a big amount of data to analyze.

Analyzing large amount of data fast and easy to set up, Also the customizable interface is designed for big business 👏 to exploit all key benefits  when making reports 😀  I like the most the robust data privacy system.

I just like that Adobe Journey Optimizer helps with supporting on emails. The direct mail feature is valuable for being able to target staff or students effectively. The setup was easy, and it's helpful in knowing how to target students and staff better by being more specific with what they'd like to hear in our communication channels like newsletters and such.

**What do you like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

We have several IPs, so theoretically we should be able to send high volumes without worrying about deliverability.

We're an Adobe company now using several products, so theoretically there's a benefit to bundling. We'll revise this review if we find it.

We like pointing out AJO's flaws to the Cyber and IT teams that forced us into AJO when our last ESP was perfect for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

We're still having deliverability issues despite the fact that:
- We're the 6th largest bank in the U.S. with a superb sender reputation. 
- We've successfully IP warmed with Adobe's help
- We're throttling emails slowly

Test emails to our own company inbox deliver about 60% of the time and we should be whitelisted. 

Basic ESP features (in other ESPs) require help from Adobe software engineers and our own internal MarTech partners. Features are not intuitive to marketers or junior email managers. 

Throttling is a huge hassle because AJO doesn't have an out-of-the-box throttling feature. You have to build a complicated program with a bunch of splits to send 250K p/h. 

We have about 50 different types of emails with 50 different From Names. We can only use 10 From Names because their UI has a glitch whereby the dropdown box only shows 10.

AJO literally changes HTML code and restructures it which often breaks the template (lose BG colors, breaks table wrappers, breaks 3-column module, etc. Litmus renders the email perfectly across all clients. If I send the email in our old ESP it renders perfectly across the board. But AJO requires “web-ready” HTML, which is not what is required by other MAP/ESP tools and not even a best practice for email development. AJO appears to be the culmination of web developers getting together to make an email product. This is breaking about 30% of our email templates, causing added troubleshooting and delays. 

We can't pause or edit live journeys, a FT we had in our last two platforms. You can only stop a live journey, clone it, revise and then start the new journey. Migrating clients midway through the old journey into the new clone is nearly impossible.

The program is massive and therefore runs extremely slow, especially in the afternoon EST time. We get time-outs, things don't save, loss of work and time. We're having to do extra (unnecessary) measures (e.g. lists that auto-delete after a time) to keep the database super lean. This supposedly helps, but we just started in AJO and already getting timeouts. Once we have a hundred programs and things running concurrently, it'll only get worse.  

This review is scratching the surface. We have an ever increasing doc several pages long listing out all the glitches, poor functionality, and risks. We expect burnout, churn, and significant revenue loss due to the many delays.

According to a previous direct report, Intuit recently left AJO. They had a very similar experience. Unfortunately, we were too far deep into onboarding and implementation to heed his warning. Now we're likely stuck for a few years so Cyber and IT can try to prove that the platform is worthy of the exorbitant cost.

**What problems is Adobe Journey Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far, I wouldn't call AJO a solution. The cons far outweigh the pros.

Our last ESP, Acoustic (formerly IBM and Silverpop) had one low-level risk related to the location of their Customer Service corporate address. 

This was the reason we had to leave, so the only solution AJO solves for is that we needed to leave Acoustic and AJO seemed like a good fit since we already had an Adobe stack.

The main problem we are solving with Adobe Journey Optimizer is how to deliver targeted messages based on on user behaviour without everything feeling scattered across different tools. It lets us build these journeys visually. It's like dragging and dropping elements to create flows that react to customer action and this what I like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer. Oh, the rendering speed for previews is quick too, so testing campaigns doesn't drag on forever. Overall it's pretty easy to use once you past the initial setup.

A missing feature that bugs me is more advanced testing options right within the journey builder, but limited compared to other dedicated tools. So we often export data to analyze somewhere else. That said, the software is solving most of our core problems.

We have seen better consistency in messaging which leads to higher open rates and conversions for clients. One quick thing worth sharing, it even helped us during a tight holiday season last year when we had to change the campaign mid way due to inventory changes. **What do you like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

Adobe Journey Optimizer has a lot of potential. I really like how it brings together different tools for managing cross-channel campaigns in one place. It’s helpful for organizing messaging and creating personalized experiences, and when it works well, it feels like a powerful platform.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

There are a few things that can be frustrating. Sometimes the platform doesn’t feel as intuitive as it should, especially when you're trying to move quickly. There can be a bit of a learning curve, and depending on how your team is set up, the process may not always be as seamless as you'd hope.

**What problems is Adobe Journey Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One thing Adobe Journey Optimizer has helped with is pulling everything into one place. Instead of juggling different platforms to manage emails, push, or in-app messages, I can handle it all in one system. It’s made it easier to keep messaging consistent and actually reach people at the right time.

**What do you like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

It certainly stands out for its ability to create real-time, personalized journeys at scale. The integration with Adobe Experience Platform gives you access to customer profiles, making it easier to tailor messaging and timing across channels. I also appreciate how visual and intuitive the journey-building interface is, especially for mapping out multi-step, trigger-based flows. The ability to test and optimize in near real-time has helped us improve engagement and conversions.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

I'm mostly satisfied with Adobe Journey Optimizer. That said, the learning curve can be a tiny bit steep if you're new to Adobe's ecosystem, but it's definitely worth it. Some features, like advanced segmentation or real-time personalization, require tight integration with other Adobe tools. I’d love to see continued improvements in documentation and onboarding resources to help teams ramp up faster, although it's already very complete.

**What problems is Adobe Journey Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Journey Optimizer helps us centralize and personalize customer communications across the entire lifecycle. Instead of managing disconnected email tools and journey builders, we now have a single platform to design, automate, and analyze real-time experiences. It allows us to trigger relevant emails based on behavior or lifecycle stage, which has improved engagement rates and reduced manual workload.

**What do you like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

From last year we started using Adobe Journey Optimizer when we were helping a retail client with their email and app push notifications into a single journey flow. During this project, what stood out the most for me was it’s real time decision making feature. Being able to set those condition right in the journey feels more natural than the workarounds we had to build with other platforms. Also, I like its ability to tap into Adobe Experience Platform data in real time. I also had a few customer support interactions while setting up streaming data sources and I have to say their support is not just copy and paste articles. I actually got someone who looked at our setup and pointed out a couple things that we did not configure correctly.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

Honestly, on boarding could have been smoother. Some things are buried in PDFs and others in learning portals, and it took a while for me to figure out which part of the product was responsible for what. Our first few journeys took longer than expected because we were guessing if we had set everything up right or not.

**What problems is Adobe Journey Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From a productivity angle, we are faster at iterating. Our first journey took weeks, but the last one took two days only which is not perfect, but the learning curve has flat and a lot. At last Adobe Journey Optimizer has helped us in aligning our tech and marketing folks. Now they can test and tweak things directly inside Journey Optimizer.

**What do you like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

What I love most about Adobe Journey Optimizer is how it lets us personalize every step of the customer journey in real time. It’s super easy to use across email, push, and in-app, and it helps us respond faster with smarter targeting. It’s made our campaigns feel more connected and way more effective. The Customer Support aspect is top tier. They help you easily integrate other programs and apps that your company might use.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Journey Optimizer?**

If I had to pick something, I'd say the learning curve can be steep at first. Some features take a bit of time to get comfortable with, especially when switching from other platforms. But once you're in, it’s worth it.

**What problems is Adobe Journey Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Journey Optimizer helps us solve the problem of disconnected customer experiences. By unifying data and making it easy to build real-time, personalized journeys across channels, we’re able to engage customers at the right moment with the right message. It’s saving us time and making our campaigns way more effective.

I like the unified customer profiles and the visual journey canvas . Also the advance decision management through AJO.
 However there is a learning curve

Product cost
Steep learning curve
Setup is a little complex for new users 
It can be improved and made more simplified so low tech people can also utilize it

It’s helping me with real time complex data
I had some adobe experience so nativity is in my favour
Also it’s high tech which if one learns helps a lot 
It’s also helping me decision management
