I’ve been quoted an outrageous $15,000 just to unlock my account so it can resume sending emails. The new pricing plans are absolutely abysmal, prioritizing profit over customer experience. This is the second overcharge in a week—$3,000 earlier, and now this $15,000 bill. To make matters worse, their system claims my account sent 1.4 million emails (which it hasn’t—I've checked their reports), yet they still expect me to pay for it?
My account rep is nowhere to be found and claims he has no power to fix this. Live chat support is clueless and unable to help. I’ve submitted 16 tickets, and not a single one has been answered. No one from the company has reached out to resolve this. Meanwhile, we're receiving 40+ complaints daily from customers because our automated emails aren’t sending.
This is beyond unacceptable—it’s a complete breakdown of customer service and operational accountability. What a joke. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Long time customer, since 2014. Ive watched this company since about 2020, put profit over product. Active camapign was always product first, not sure where it changed but it was sometime around 2020. Increased fees for no usable features, you get less for more, its a shame. I'll be moving our 31 clients off active campaign this year and myself. Profit over product always loses Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love all of the integrations and automation capabilities. Contact scoring is also interesting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For us, as a service-based business, we have found many limitations for using the AC to manage appointment data through the pipelines. It seems AC is far more suited to e-commerce. We had to implement a few works around that aren't ideal but work.
I am also disappointed with the restructuring you have made for account management for enterprise users, I found so much value in the beginning working with them. We were sold one thing and now have another. Online ticket support is ok.
I also think the reporting dashboard can be far more intuitive, and I find it challenging to get any real insights from A/B testing in the campaign report.
The Ai brand tool kit is also a little primitive when creating designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to use and it connects with other software easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Where do I begin.. It is not stable, it crashes, it is slow and the editor to write e-mails is really really poor. It doesn't autosave what you are doing so it is like working in the 80 ties where you have to save every 10 minutes to be sure you don't loose it. Yet they raised their pricing last year (for me it want from 1668 usd to 2164!!!). It may be interesting for companies who create poor , boring mails but if you want a beautiful newsletter this is not where you want to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pros:
• The level I needed to start (less than 1000) was not too expensive
• Scheduling/setting up emails is very easy
• Easy graphic design for emails
• Easy navigating of general tabs
• Contacts are easy to filter (tags, etc)
• General connectivity/integration (of information) of the app is great
• Good, uncomplicated form builder Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cons:
• Reports feature is confusing until you really learn it (It’s not easy for someone who doesn’t know how to navigate it fluently)
• Not beginner user-friendly with overall features (my admin has marketing experience, so the features were easier to use, but if she had not used other platforms, it wouldn’t have been as easy to navigate).
• We had an issue integrating Paypal recurring payments with the campaign and I'm not sure if it's solved yet (and honestly don't know if it's a Paypal issue instead). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use is incredible. Automations and workflows are so easy to create and send. I was avoiding sending emails simply because Mailchimp was so cumbersome to use. Active campaign is a profressional client for professionals. I highly recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside I have encountered was a brief issue with using the site in Chrome. But customer service was great and they rememdied the situation quickly. Other than that, nothing to complain about! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ActiveCampaign is an easy and powerful tool for email marketing and automation. I find it great for personalizing communication, managing contacts, and automating workflows efficiently. Really like also customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To fully understand its features, you need to spend some time on it, as some functions are a bit complex to grasp. The mobile app isn’t great. In terms of pricing, it used to be more competitive, but it has changed its pricing and usage policies in a somewhat confusing way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our team has Active Campaign synced with PandaDoc, when moving deals throughout our pipeline it automatically creates a Statement of Work with a webhook. I use it every single day and it tracks activity throughout all of your prospecting efforts which is great because it helps you meet your KPIs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have no current dislikes about ActiveCampaign. It is easy to use and pleasing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that it integrates with so many other solutions. It's easy to go to Zapier and create zaps to integrate active campaign with our website, our landing, pages, Google Sheets, Trello, Slack, and many more solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the pricing model. It almost feels like we are penalized for growing our database because the more people in there, the more expensive it gets. I also don't know that I feel that it's incredibly intuitive. I spend a lot of time learning how to do things by reading articles in the Support section. I'm usually able to figure it out, but I wish it was more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love ActiveCampaign. We switched from a much more difficult and confusing software a couple months ago. It was not an easy migration because we had so many automations to move, but ActiveCampaign's customer support is top-notch. Almost every time I've needed them, they have blown me away with their responsiveness and willingness to get to the bottom of the problem. That, combined with the workshop, made our migration as smooth as it possibly could be.
I am very impressed with the capabilities of the software, too. It is SOOOOO much easier to use than our previous one, and I find myself looking forward to getting in there and seeing what's going on, instead of dreading it. Our sales team uses the CRM everyday, and is very happy with it, as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting isn't quite as robust as our previous system. We've managed to figure out some workarounds, but that's the only thing that doesn't make this software about as perfect as we could wish for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like about ActiveCampaign is that I can connect it with my tools like Thrivecart, WordPress, or BuddyBoss, along with all the software that allows me to provide my clients with a premium experience. And I can build a whole automated customer journey, from the registration for my piano course to managing email sends in a nearly automated way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There’s not much to say about ActiveCampaign, but I do find it quite expensive depending on the number of prospects, and I also think that some pages on the interface load a bit slowly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
