If you are looking for the best CRM that easily integrates with all the other platforms that you want to use - wordpress, jotform, thinkific - I am a coach, this is the platform. It is the MOST expensive CRM I have found out there, I wish it wasn't so pricey, but I stay with it because of the simplicity it affords you in connecting and making things work "automatically" plus I hate Zapier and other platforms where it takes 2-3 steps to connect something, as something ALWAYS breaks. ActiveCampaign has become one of the most frustrating, opaque, and predatory services I've ever dealt with.

Without my consent, they upgraded my plan from $714/year to $1,980/year — nearly 3x more — for the same plan I was on. No invoice, no alert, no chance to cancel before the charge hit my account. I only discovered the charge when reviewing billing info for tax season. Their email “notice” of the price hike? Buried in generic marketing updates, I didn’t open until after they billed me.

When I reached out the same day I noticed the charge, they stalled for 5 days — and in the meantime, locked me out of the service unless I agreed to new terms. Terms I had never accepted and still don’t agree to.

Their Terms of Service don’t permit this kind of switch — you can’t just swap someone’s plan and triple the cost without affirmative consent. It’s unethical, possibly illegal, and beyond unacceptable in 2025.

I’ve now filed a PayPal dispute and may pursue legal action for unauthorized billing and blocking access to a paid service.

Avoid this company at all costs. Their support is slow, their pricing is deceptive, and once they have your payment info, you’re at their mercy. Don’t risk your business on a company that treats its customers like this.
