Airbase has completely streamlined the way I manage expenses! One of my favorite features is how I can simply take a picture of a receipt, and AI takes care of everything—uploading, saving, and extracting the details automatically. The receipt matching feature is also a game-changer; when I receive a receipt in my inbox, it seamlessly matches it to the correct transaction, saving me tons of time.

I also love the bulk report functionality, which lets me group multiple expenses into a single report, making the submission process much more efficient. Plus, having an Airbase card synced with my Google Pay is incredibly convenient—I just tap to pay, scan my receipt, and Airbase does the rest by automatically matching it to the transaction.

Airbase is a powerful tool, but there are a few enhancements that would make it even better:

A customizable auto-fill feature that remembers how I’ve categorized a specific provider in the past, rather than always relying on AI suggestions.

The ability to bulk edit descriptions, departments, and categories instead of updating each receipt individually.

A memory function for recurring expenses, so it remembers my previous coding and descriptions for consistency.

The option to edit, add, or remove expenses from a report after submission (as long as it’s not approved yet) for more flexibility.

A more user-friendly bill payment dashboard, with clearer visual indicators (e.g., green for paid, red for unpaid) and reminders/notifications for overdue bills to help stay on track.

- Seamless Transaction Matching: When I receive a receipt via email, Airbase automatically links it to the correct expense, eliminating the hassle of searching for receipts and transactions manually.

Airbase is seamless in managing payroll and reimbursements. Gone are the days of manually needing to email someone receipts, or invoices for them to manually setup an wire.

It's made it possible for us to manage how we'd like to be paid (without having to ask HR for manual updates) and reimbursed at the click of a button. The virtual cards system makes it possible to constrain vendors to only charging a specific amount per review cycle, thereby minimizing the possibility of overpayments and unauthorized transactions.

At the same time, we also equip employees with physical visa cards powered by Airbase. There's never been a situation where it's gotten declined, things just work. We run all our expenses through it, migrating it all over was quite easy.

Data extraction from automatically forwarded receipts is mostly bang on as well, there's only been a few situations where we've had to manually edit anything. Overall, very happy with it. Avis collecté par et hébergé sur G2.com.

The reimbursement compilation screen is a bit difficult to navigate. You're supposed to upload receipts, and then compile them into expense reports for reimbursement.

As someone who used to dread expense reports, Airbase has been a game-changer. Seriously, it's like night and day compared to the old manual processes. My favorite thing by far is how incredibly fast and easy it is to submit expenses. I can snap photos of receipts with my phone, and they're automatically uploaded and categorized. The app is super intuitive; I figured it out in minutes.

While Airbase is fantastic, there are a couple of minor things I'd like to see improved. Occasionally, the automatic categorization of expenses isn't perfect, and I have to manually adjust it. It's not a huge deal, but it would be even better if the AI was a bit more accurate. Also, while the mobile app is great, I've noticed that sometimes it can be a little slow to load, especially when I have a lot of receipts to upload. I love that I'm able to send invoices/receipts automatically from my business accounts like Uber, DoorDash, Delta Airlines, etc. Using those invoices, Airbase will compile all of my receipts into a single "Report." This is great for when you have back to back travel and need to keep expenses separate.

Another great feature is how Airbase will scan photos of physical receipts and, if it recognizes the vendor as a restaurant, I'm prompted to add the other attendees for that meal. I've used other platforms in the past, and I had to manually assign attendees to meals, Uber rides, etc.

While the automation is mostly great, it can be frustrating when multiple receipts are miscategorized. It's time consuming to have to manually correct/edit. When we implemented Airbase, it was a huge step up from the previous software we used for expense reports and invoicing. I submit multiple invoices for our contract writers each month, and having an easy to use platform that also allows our contract writers to track the status of their invoices is very important to me.

I'm not sure if this is because of internal requirements or the way we've set up Airbase, but submitting an invoice requires a lot of steps. In fact, I recorded a Loom video to help new users learn how to submit an invoice in Airbase, and it took 8 minutes to cover everything.

Additionally, every time I create a Purchase Order in Airbase, I also have to email the invoice to our AP team. Again, this could be an avoidable internal requirement, but it's cumbersome. I've forgotten to to this a few times, and I'm not notified—the invoice sits in Airbase until a contract writer reaches out about their late payment.

External vendors are unable to submit their own invoices in Airbase (I have to do this for them) and they can't view payment status until the Purchase Order is approved. Multiple approvers are required for all invoices at my company, so this takes some time.

Also, when I'm searching for an invoice, I often have a hard time finding it because I never know if it's still a Purchase Order or if it's become a Request. Both require separate searches, and multiple clicks based on status—Open, Closed, Pending, Approved, Denied, and Archived. Avis collecté par et hébergé sur G2.com.

Airbase has significantly improved our expense reporting and invoicing processes, making them more streamlined and transparent. The biggest problem it's solved for me is the ability for our contract writers to track invoice statuses with ease. Previously, our writers would frequently ask for status updates, and being able to point them to Airbase now saves me so much time.

The recent AI-powered features, which automatically read receipts and invoices to populate information, have also saved time and reduced manual entry errors. We also recently gained the ability to submit multiple line items as part of one expense report. Previously, we had to submit one expense report per line item, which was cumbersome to input but especially time intensive to approve for my direct reports.

While some internal processes add complexity, Airbase still helps centralize financial workflows, ensuring better organization and visibility. The structured approval process supports compliance and accountability, and if an invoice is pending on an approval, it's extremely helpful to be able to see who that is so I can reach out to them.
