Digital Samba hatte viele Werkzeuge, die Lehrern bei der Nutzung der Plattform halfen. Die Schüler genossen es, auf dem Whiteboard zu schreiben. Sie genossen es auch, Videos anzusehen und kollaborativ zu arbeiten. Das System war relativ einfach zu erlernen für jemanden, der neu in der Online-Lehrumgebung ist. Das System war schwierig zu kontrollieren, wenn man Schüler in Breakout-Räumen hatte. Unabhängig von der Unterstützung und Ermutigung der Breakout-Raum-Regeln hatten wir immer noch Schüler in den Breakout-Räumen, die auf das Whiteboard schrieben und vor der Kamera sprachen, anstatt die gestellte Aufgabe zu erledigen. Ich mochte auch nicht, wie PowerPoint-Präsentationen in das System heruntergeladen werden. Das Format wird häufig durcheinandergebracht. Ich lade lieber einfach ein PDF hoch. Das negiert dann den Zweck, nützliche Links in die Präsentationen einzufügen. Was auch noch ein Punkt ist, das Teilen von Links ist sehr umständlich. Ich möchte in der Lage sein, einfach alle erforderlichen Links in eine PowerPoint für die Klasse einzufügen und reibungslos durch die Folien zu klicken. Das kann ich nicht, weil die Links die Kinder aus der Plattform werfen, wenn sie auf die Links klicken. Ich muss es manuell an die Tafel schreiben, was zeitaufwendig ist, oder im Chat, wo es leicht verloren geht. Es muss ein viel besseres System geben, um das ursprüngliche Format und die Nutzung von Links beizubehalten. Ich mochte das Tool "erweiterte Funktionen" beim Erstellen der Meetings. Es gibt dem Gastgeber viel Kontrolle über den Ablauf und die Organisation der Veranstaltung. Ich war beeindruckt von all den Optionen für das Branding. Die Live-Veranstaltung fühlte sich an, als wäre sie rein von meinem Unternehmen und nicht mit Samba verbunden. This platform is a great resource to utilize for online learning. There are many features that work well in an educational setting. Educators are able to upload any materials, change settings and formatting, turn on and off both their permissions and students with ease, move students into breakout rooms, and write on the board. While the pencil draw tool is sometimes not as smooth in the writing for a math teacher, it does serve as a nice feature. Students often get kicked out of the classroom. In order to keep track of who is coming and going, I have to enable the lobby and it can become challenging to continue allowing students in. Screen sharing often causes students to get kicked out of the platform. It can sometimes be time consuming to turn on and off tool board permissions for students to write on the board. I like the view and ease of the tools. The view of Samba Live is very much in tune with current platforms. It feels like you are on a social media live platform. The best aspect of the software is how quick it is to get a session sent out and get people connected with just the link.
